He's been taking medication and the condition is getting better. However, he joked and said that he's a young person, no need to take breaks.

Ken Hung reveals that theres a flying pigeon in his house and has already called the Agriculture and Fisheries Department to come capture it. Friends say that pigeons bring him good luck, so if there is another pigeon that comes flying into his house, he won't shoo it away. It's just that the first pigeon that went into his house is ill and can cause harm to his health, so he's been a bit worried.

William Chan has mixed emotions

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Special Feature: Long Interview

The 2008 William Chan carved a spot for himself in the music industry by establishing himself as the new dancing king. In 2009, he switched lanes and began to act in films like crazy, participating in 8 films in one year, subsequently becoming a well-respected newbie in the filming industry. This year, he returned to the music industry and released a new album, and apart from resuming his dancing, he also started singing ballads, using music to remember a long-extinct relationship.

Leaving confusion

Everyone says that the second year is very important to an up and coming singer, even if your path in the first year was very smooth, if you can't maintain popularity in the second year, you will be in a deep spiral down. In 2008, William left the Sun Boyz to pursue a solo career, becoming a dance king in the process. However, in 2009 he quieted down, and other than a new album that was released at the beginning of the year, he seemed to have disappeared. Obviously, the truth was a completely different story. William had been quietly switching lanes to the film industry, and with 8 films in one year, apart from singing, he seems to have made progress in his new job.

"At the beginning of 2009, after attending all the awards concerts, I felt very lost, because although I had many good results, I didn't know what i could do to maintain my track record. At that time, I wasn't aware of films and other jobs, and only knew how to sing a good song and dance well. Afterwards, my company organized acting opportunities for me, and gave me a feeling of stability. Last year, I was able to work with many famous directors and actors, which I had never been able to do before. To be honest, even if I sing better, I never dreamed of the opportunity to be able to work with them. They taught me how to act, and shared their experiences on the job with me, so I realized what I should do, in order to become a real artist. This year, aside from acting and singing, there will be movies airing in Mainland China, so I will be busy promoting."

William, reborn

From last year until now, William has participated in 8 films, including "Overheard", "Seven 2 One", "Trick or Cheat", "Split Second Murders", "Beauty on Duty", "Sad Movie", "Leisurely Fried Rice" and "Ex". With this many films, he is definitely in a rare situation on the filming market.

"When I was still in Sun Boyz, no one asked me to act, but at the end of 2008, everyone was asking me to, even right now there are some that are in the talks, I feel like the new William has appeared!"

The old William never thought of acting before, because he never had to go for auditions. "I felt that directors would never choose me, so when my company asked me to audition, I would decline. Now so many people are asking for my part in acting, maybe because of the variety of my roles. I can act as a perverted boy, a famous celebrity, or in a sex scene."

No sleep for 60 hours

The entertainment circle is a place of much work, but also much reward. Actors can be very carefree, or they can be very hardworking. Luckily, William belongs to the latter group, and has acted in two movies plus recorded a song in one time period. He's so busy that he doesn't even have time for a tea break. This type of lifestyle can be very burdening to a newbie, and can cause them to lose focus again.

"Mid last year, I had an average of 2 hours of sleep every day, and once i went 60 hours without sleep. Filming for "Sad Movie", I also had to work on "Beauty on Duty", and I felt like my senses were splitting apart. At that time, I would start filming "Sad Movie" at night, then at around noon I would wrap up for that movie, then rush to the radio station for singing activities. At night I would act in "Beauty on Duty", until the early hours could I rest, and then immediately head to start filming "Sad Movie" again. Those couple months were super painful, but I didn't even have time to complain to someone. I've tried hiding in a corner to cry, because I didn't know what I was doing, and didn't know who I was. If I was a singer, I definitely did not have enough sleep, so I didn't sing well at all. If I was an actor, I also didn't have enough rest, so I couldn't act well. Now that I'm mature, I know how to control my emotions, know how to grit my teeth and bare it. I'm allowing myself 3 years of nonstop work, and am willing to do anything. Maybe in three years I will finally have a spot, and can choose what I want to do."

Learning a professional attitude

One year of nonstop work has helped William improve his acting skills, and has matured his way of thinking.

"When I was filming, I had to think all the time to delve into different personas. For example, I had to pretend to fall in love with my step mother, but like two other girls at the same time. Morning, noon and night I would be having sex with different girls, haha! I've never tried that before. I thought a lot, and learned a lot more about myself. Working with all the other people, I also matured. For example, look at Louis Koo and Ching Wan Lau, before starting they will be sitting quietly, thinking about their character. I won't be loud and noisy either, and will learn their professionalism. Working with Sandra Ng, I learned the way of succeeding in the business. My character in "Sad Movie" is a boy that falls in love with his step mother, and have to act out many perverted acts, such as stealing her slippers with my foot during dinner time and massaging it to feel the warmth left by her foot. Sometimes I will get Eric Tsang to practice with me, and then take the photos. Before I started filming, I spent one month thinking about my character, and looked at many videos about my co-star Vivian, and watched all her MVs to fall in love with her. To sum it all up, although I was quite tired in 2009, I also gained a lot of experience."

Returning to music

2010's William has decided to spend more time on music, now that he has developed new skills in the movie business. This month, he will release a new album with a theme based on outer space.

"2009 has been an unhappy year for me. Although I filmed many movies, the roles haven't been very deep, and combined with lack of sleep and filming of multiple movies at the same time, my feelings were very complicated. I was very unhappy while filming 'Ex', and with the new rumours being spread around, I really wanted to head to outer space myself! Choosing outer space as my theme, is to let everyone know that the new me will be coming back in 2010!"

Recording "Grand Canyon" healed his hurt feelings

William's debut song is "Do You Wanna Dance", and his second hit song is called "Grand Canyon", although he hasn't admitted his relationship with Angelababy, but become close friends after barely knowing one another, is an undeniable truth. William describes "Grand Canyon" as a song to heal himself, and wants to tell everybody, "Breaking up is not a happy event, we are allowed to scream and cry. In this world, it's not impossible not to lose someone, like one of the lines in the song."

Cries while recording

William revealed that he was the initiator to ask the songwriter to compose a heartbreakingly sad song, hoping to heal himself through the song, and hoping to heal any broken hearts that his listeners may have. "After receiving the lyrics, I felt that Lum Yeuk Ning hit the target, and while recording it I was crying."

Working with Louis on "Overheard"

"Louis taught me how to maintain my beautiful face everyday, since we usually start work at 6 am, he will get up at 4 am to jog, and then relax in the sauna before tanning. I didn't know that naturally beautiful people have to work to keep their looks. Louis' bubbly personality, warmth and dark skin were attained after much work. I don't have the money to build a sauna room at home, so I bought a tent, and then started the humidifier inside to act as a sauna; and because the tent was pink, my mom would laugh at me everytime I did it, saying I was like a missie. I gave up after a few weeks, and only retained the habit of jogging."

Many happy memories

Through working with many different people, William gained many things, and still remembers many funny things that happened with those people.

Charlene Choi, working on "Beauty on Duty"

"I had a scene with Charlene that was quite suggestive, and it was my first time filming such scenes. We were good friends, so it wasn't too embarassing at first. The director said we had to twine together, and Ah Sa had to be the more aggressive one, sitting on my body. Afterwards, Ah Sa sat by herself in the corner and didn't say a word, but her face was super red! I said to her, you've filmed kiss scenes with Andy Lau, Louis Koo and Lau Ching Wun, but she replied that she was embarassed because she had to initiate the contact. I was very surprised yet embarassed when I saw her like this."

Ann Hui, working on "Leisurely Fried Rice"

"I learned many things from Director Ann, she didn't teach me how to act through words, and wouldn't tell me what to do or not to do. In the whole film, she never questioned any of my actions, only guided me. She made me comfortable while acting, and let me find things out myself. Her relaxed attitude made me act naturally as well. In all of my films, I think that this one is the best. The director would also ask me if I was comfortable filming with Sandra Ng and Vivian Chow, and asked me to speak up about better ways to make it more natural."

Sandra Ng, working on "Leisurely Fried Rice"

"Wu Jin Ru talked to me a lot, and told me a lot about her old stories. She also gave me tips about what I should do in the future, she told me that I should keep acting forefront, but not neglect singing either. She said I should grit my teeth and wait out these years. She reminded me not to start or be embroiled in any rumours, and don't give others the impression that I was messing around."

Eric Tsang, working on "Sad Movie"

"I have come in contact with Eric numerous times; the first time, he was very nice to me and told me how to act. I learned to be honest and to take things seriously from him, and when he doesn't need to be filming he'll be sleeping. But once he's on set, he's very animated, and clear-headed as well. I won't try to learn that, because I won't be able to for sure."

Vivian Chow, working on "Leisurely Fried Rice"

"I personally really like Vivian, and collected her flash cards, so working with her was like a dream come true. The director told me that I would have a bed scene with her, and I would even get her pregnant, with me initiating the gestures. Waa! She is an experienced veteran, so I was very scared. However, she was very nice, and told me not to think of her as Vivian Chow. But, she is so pretty, how can i think of her as anything else but?"

Herman Yau, working on "Split Second Murders"

"Director Herman is a really good person! He never seems to get tired, after filming other actors' parts late at night for a couple days, it was my turn to do an overnight filming, but he was still very animated for us, and is very passionate about filmmaking!"

Alan Mak, working on "Overheard"

"Director Alan taught me the basics in the business, I had never acted before, and really didn't know anything about it. He gave me many examples."

Chapman To, working on "Ex"

"Working with Producer Chapman was a very happy time, he takes care of every actor individually, and often plays around. from him, I learned how to be humorous, because he is a constantly funny person."

Final Thoughts

William Chan is a very professional artist, although 2009 may have been a very busy and unhappy year, everytime he is in public, he is always jovial. Good luck!

Accident right before Twins concert, 2 dancers rushed to hospital

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Twins will be holding their "Everyone Bounce Up" concert this weekend. Yesterday afternoon at 3pm, Gillian Chung, Charlene Choi and 12 other dancers were in Hong Kong Coliesum rehearsing. The group of dancers were on stage one climbing on another making a human pyramid, an extremely challenging stunt.

Although all the dancers are well trained, when the slingshot stage moved right, the dancers supporting the human pyramid on the lowest row lost balance. The human pyramid collapsed and the two female dancers at the very top fell head first 10 feet to the ground. At the time, the two female dancers were still awake, while the other staff immediately called the police. Soon after, two ambulances arrived at the scene and rushed the two girls to the hospital. One of the dancers was seriously injured and had to put on neck gear.

Michael Hui denies rumors of cheating on his wife; tells the media: “Get a conscience!”

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Yesterday, HK gossip magazine "Next Weekly" reported that veteran comedian Michael Hui was caught ‘cheating’ on his wife of more than 30 years by openly being ‘intimate’ with a woman in Saikung and hiding when he saw reporters. After learning of this, Oriental Daily’s reporter called Michael Hui’s wife to seek clarification on the matter. When Mrs. Hui picked up the phone and heard what this was about, she laughed and said: “It’s such a mockery to his [Michael’s] intelligence! If he really wanted to cheat, do you think he would do so in Saikung where there are lots of people, and out in public? Just think about it for a second and you would know it’s impossible – the whole story is fabricated. It’s actually quite ridiculous – all that magazine has is a picture of Michael in the front seat of his car and they take that to create such a grand story!”

Mrs. Hui continues: “The ‘woman’ they are referring to is actually a friend of ours. She is a writer from Shanghai who came to visit us and he is only fulfilling his obligation as a host by taking her to dinner.” (Did you tell the reporter [from the magazine] that Michael ‘lied to you for a lifetime’?) “I told the reporter not too exaggerate things and that if Michael were to lie to me, he already lied for a lifetime [referring to 30+ years of marriage]…the reporter simply took the last part of what I said and twisted it.”

Afterwards, Oriental Daily’s reporter requested that Mrs. Hui hand the phone over to Michael, who expressed: “I usually don’t bother to talk about this kind of news, but this time, it’s gone too far. They say that I was ‘cheating’ yet they don’t have a single picture that proves it – it’s all talk. And now, they are bothering my wife, which really crosses the line. She responded the way she did to that reporter because she was trying to support me by using a line from my Talk Show in response, however the reporter only wrote the last part of the sentence. I hope that in the future, when the media writes stuff, they don’t only think about making a living, but also think about what Tina Dik Na once said – think about having a conscience! All I’m going to say is: ‘What is real cannot be made false, what is false cannot be made real!”

Francis Ng sentenced HK$10,000 & have criminal record for assault case

Thursday, April 15, 2010 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Francis Ng (Real Name: Ng Chi Keung, 48 years old) was involved in an injury someone case in Kowloon City bakery on New Year's Eve. That night, Francis and his Singaporean wife (Wong Lai Ping) were at the bakery and got into a dispute with someone at the store. It was reported after that the person was grabbed and slapped, having to get stitches on their left ear. Francis was arrested and charged for wounding someone.

Yesterday at court, Francis was sentenced for HK$10,000 fine and has a criminal record. Yesterday afternoon at 2:20pm, Francis appeared at the court's entrance wearing a black suit with yellow shaded glasses and a LV wallet. His wife was not seen with him.

Francis' lawyer accompanied him to court and was able to lessen the offense of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Francis appeared calm in court, when the magistrate read the case, he answered before he/she was done: "I plead guilty". The magistrate then said: "Let me finish first." The case spanned for about 20 minutes, in the end the court sentenced Francis a fine of HK$10,000 and will have a criminal record. The magistrate continued and said that as an artist, Francis should control his temperment and personal emotions. His actions were also said to be a foolish act: "learn your lesson, do not be reckless!" Fortunately there was a change in the alleged charges otherwise, Francis could have been sentenced for imprisonment. However, there was not enough evidence that could prove he was impulsive to commit the crime, so a lighter sentence was given.

In defense, the lawyer said that Francis is a successful artist, a famous figure among the Chinese. He explained, at that time the victim was verbally abusing Mrs. Ng with the use of foul language. Protecting his wife is a man's duty, Francis mistakes are forgiven. When Francis was leaving the court, a large group of reporters surrounded him, causing some confusion. The security guards had to step in to clear up the pathway, asked if he's satisfied with the sentence? Francis did not respond. Asked again, the magistrate told him to control his temperment? He only let out the sounds: "hee hee hee" as a response.

(Photo of bandaged arm - Credit: Chilam Cheung's Blog)

The day before yesterday, Chilam Cheung and good friend Aaron Kwok were having hotpot together. On his microblog, he posted a bandaged photo. Turns out that a few days ago, he had to visit the hospital for surgery. Yesterday, Chilam wrote a blog entry titled "Pain" revealing that his nasal bone is skewed due to allergies in the nose and congestion. He hopes that the pain can be resolved soon!

Currently resting in the hospital, Chilam wrote to fans on his blog that he's safe, he said: "The surgery require general anesthesia, so I don't know if its painful or not. The illness resulted from long term nasal allergies, so had to clear out the stuff inside that caused the misalignment of the nose bone." After the surgery, the anesthetics gradually disappeared, Chilam started feeling pain. He said: "I have two long sticks stuck on my nostrils, so I have to breathe through my mouth, it's so painful. Blood liquid keeps coming out of my nose, the anesthetics is making me feel so out of it. But I hope all my patience can be exchanged for a better life!"

Reporters phoned Chilam, he said: "Thank you all for your concern. I'll be discharged from the hospital in a few days, not much of a problem. However, the illness has been with me for a long time, so short pain better than long pain. My wound from the surgery is still pretty painful, even talking hurts, so I am trying to talk less."

Florence Kwok hurts bottom part at "Super Trio" wants to complain

Posted by Admin 0 comments
The new season of "Super Trio" hosted by Eric Tsang, Chin Ka Lok and Elvina Kong was recording for the first episode and invited Michael Tse, Joyce Cheng, Florence Kwok, Edwin Siu and other guests. During the "burst balloon" and "sit on balloon" games, the guests had to put pressure on the balloon so it can pop. For the "sit on ballon" game, the male guest has to put the balloon in between his thighs and have the female guest sit on top to pop it. However, the guests were all playing and revealed painful expressions. After Florence Kwok finished playing, she held onto the lower part of her body and said: "I want to complain, their hands were placed on that part, it really hurts!" Joyce was playing half way and gave up, so her teammate Florence had to replace her. After that, Florence had a leg cramp.

Afterwards, Florence was asked if she really wanted to complain? She expressed: "I think I may have bumped into the guy's belt, so next time guys please don't wear belts for the game! (Playing and got injuries, will you ask for a compensation?) I have insurance, but all the balloons popping sounds really painful to the ear." Towards Florence getting hurt on the bottom due to their hands, Michael Tse and Edwin Siu explained that its the correct posture to hold balloons. Edwin said: "actually we were all in pain. (Your hand hit her?) I didn't know where to put my hand, but had to hold onto the balloon. But it is pretty painful to the girls."

Also, Eric was rather caring towards "niece" Joyce Cheng during the games. When Joyce was playing the "burst balloon" game, Eric asked her: "Can you do it? If not, then tell one of the guys to jump for you!" Afterwards, Joyce admitted that she failed: "I am the heaviest here, but I couldn't pop the balloon. (Did Eric tell you not to come?) No, Elvina called me and told me to bring more clothing and don't have to worry about dressing well."

Twins Rehearsal: Ah Sa puts her love injuries away; too much dancing Ah Gil feels dizzy

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 Posted by Admin 0 comments
"Twins Everyone Bounce Up Concert" will be held on April 16 - April 18th in Hong Kong Coliseum. Yesterday Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) and Gillian Chung (Ah Gil) were rehearsing for the concert. Joey Yung and William Chan went to visit them accompanied by their Manager Mani Fok with a platinum disc.

After the divorce press conference with Ronald Cheng, Ah Sa appeared tired at rehearsal yesterday. Asked if she's really that tired? She did not respond, Ah Gil helped her out and said: "We are rehearsing for the concert, it's very tiring because we were practicing in the dance room just before this. We just started this massive rehearsal yesterday, just spinning in circles made us dizzy. When I was practicing at home, I was a little dizzy and scraped my hand, it bled a little too." Did losing too much weight cause the dizziness? Ah Gil believes that it's not because of losing weight.

On last week's episode of "Fun With Liza and Gods", they were playing with Ronald and Ah Sa's divorce press conference, did Wong Cho Lam's disguise make her feel worse? Ah Sa said: "He's just doing it for work! Before I didn't ask him. It was actually after he did it, then he called me and told me. My manager Mani should be the one upset because Louis Yuen's disguise looked nothing like her." Asked if Cho Lam apologized to her? She said: "I am fine, no need to apologize." Asked if she's feeling better now after the whole marriage/divorce incident? She said: "Happy or not, still gotta get through the days."

Joey and William expressed that they will make a guest appearance at Twins concert. Joey said: "Before when they were at dance rehearsal, William sneaked in and they didn't notice. When it's time for the actual show, William can sneak in again and pretend to be one of the dancers." She said that usually when she's dancing, she would wear high heels, but yesterday she sprained her ankle at the ShenZhen award ceremony, so she'll be appearing in flat shoes at Twins' concert. She said: "Also the concert is filled with young children fans, I should accommodate the atmosphere."

William expressed that besides Twins concert having good songs to listen to, they have also reached another level. He said: "When Ah Sa bites her lip, she really got a taste of feminism."

Fala Chen & Oceane Zhu battling for the Newcomer Queen

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Today's newcomers as an artistes usually have an opportunity to become a movie star. The "29th Hong Kong Film Awards" will soon be presenting the "Best New Performer Award". To the group of newcomers, it is one of the biggest events in life. Before Aarif Lee and a bunch of young stars pulled in votes together forming "Brotherhood", Fala Chen and Oceane Zhu only can draw the small cards, hoping the judges could give lots of support!

This year, Fala Chen is depending on "Laughing Gor Turning Point" for the newcomer award. Initially the nomination list did not have her name listed at all, but since Edison Wong from "Bodyguards and Assassins" was disqualified because he already got the award before for "Winds of September". For this reason, Fala was able to make it into the 6th finalist, but Fala felt that its a rare opportunity.

"Prince of Tears" was Oceane Zhu's first job after graduation. She is currently the youthful 21 year old girl who has to portray a mother of two daughters in the 1950's. Unexpectedly her acting even led to director Yofan being one of the first directors to tear up. She already successfully became the "Best New Performer" to many.

Towards her first role in "Prince of Tears", Oceane said: "At the tme I was thinking if I already tried and still doesn't work out, then I'll go back to school, so I accepted the role. At first I was really worried that I won't do good and get scolded by the director, but turns out that he's very caring. He even has the patience to teach me on every scene, so I definitely was able to do act out the role well. If not, then I'm sorry to him!"

Contrasting from Oceane who had the director teach her, Fala was praised that she had potential by the director. Fala did all her preparations for the role, she said: "Francis started filming before me, so before I started working I went to visit the set. I followed my brother (Francis) around, he was really willing to teach me. He told me to treat him as a father because in acting, its the brother who raised the younger sister."

Asked about interesting things in filming? Oceane smiled and said that the hardest part was to hold in her laughter. One time she couldn't stop laughing and NGed 4-5 times! Also, Oceane reveals that the director told her that she needs to meet up with Gary Zhang privately before filming. She said: "Because in the film we play husband and wife, so the director told me to go meet up with Gary alone, like watch movies and have dinner together. All the expenses would be provided by the director, he told me to go have fun too! It was pretty funny."

Hard to control emotions

Fala expressed that the most memorable part was when she threatened her brother Francis that she'll die if she doesn't let Michael Tse go. She said: "The results of the far shots were really good, it went smoothly. However, when I was doing the close up shots, I wasn't able to get into the correct emotions right away because I don't have enough experience. Not like Francis who can still get back the correct emotions despite having to do it a dozen times. In the end, the director cut out the far distance shots because the close up shots showed Francis' tear drop really well."

Tracy Ip: Never recommended Nancy Wu to earn "extra money"

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Next month, the film "Laughing Gor Turning Point" will be broadcasting on television. Yesterday Tracy Ip and Michael Tse attended the promotional event. There were reports that said Tracy became the middle person between Nancy Wu and Kenneth Ma's relationship. The rumors stated that Tracy introduced Nancy to the north for more money earning? Tracy said: "A friend told me about the cover story of the magazine. I was confused because none of that is true." It was said that she was unhappy because of the reports? Tracy said: "I have already asked a lawyer for advice, I will not talk about it anymore, there is nothing to respond to."

Tracy expressed that she and Nancy do not know each other that well, they have never collaborated before and she does not understand how Nancy's rumors with Kenneth is related to her. Asked if she plans to take legal action? "I have already discussed with a lawyer, I cannot reveal anything now." In the future, is she going to recommend work to others again? Tracy said: "This is not the truth, don't need to keep talking about it. The writers deliberately twisted it and exaggerated. I never recommended anyone for any work."

Michael said that when the film broadcasts, it allows those who haven't seen to have the opportunity and those who have to enjoy it a second time. Just like the new year film "All Well Ends Well" having several sequels, he also hopes that after "Laughing Gor", there will be another creation of a classic character for him.
