Yesterday Jessica Hsuan and Vivian Chow attended Sharon Kwok's hosted "AquaMeridian Conservation & Education Foundation" charity event. Lately Jessica has been busy filming in Mainland and has clearly put on some weight. She laughed and said there are too many good foods in Hengdian. Because she ate too much, the director asked her to lose the stomach fat. Although she successfully lost the weight at one point, when the crew wrapped up the filming, she started eating presumptuously again and ended up gaining the weight back.
Asked if Jessica is planning to go back to TVB? Jessica expressed TVB has been in touch with her, "They wanted to cast me in a series, but I turned them down. The character isn't suitable for me. I don't want to play the same type of characters over and over again. Actually the Mainland drama gave me a villain role and I accepted it immediately since I can beat other people up. (Is it because the TVB ratings has been very low lately that you turned them down?) No, I'm looking for my own thing. I even turned down Tiger Cubs 2." Asked if Ricky Wong approached her? She said: "He did before, I have no resistance. When there is healthy competition in Hong Kong, it is good news for us artists." As to whether she will serve for HKTV, it will depend on her schedule. Jessica said: "I've visited Leila Tong on the set before and discovered HKTV has abundant resources. I've also watched the HKTV new series clips, its very much like a movie. HK TV series will only improve when there is healthy competition, otherwise it won't be good."
