Reportedly due to Oscar Leung Lit Wai's outstanding performance in his new film YOUNG AND DANGEROUS RELOADED (GOO WAT JAI: GONG WU SUN DIT JUI), which caught Wong Jing's eyes, the director wanted to sign him to a 10 film contract for salary as high as 7 figures.
Wong Jing yesterday admitted, "I can see his potential, whether in a lead or support role, serious or comedy he is capable. He has the potential of (Stephen) Chow Sing Chi or (Nick) Cheung Ka Fai in the past." Wong Jing said that after the Lunar New Year he will work on a big film that has over 100 million in investment and star Chow Yun Fat and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung. He originally wanted Wai Wai to participate but now he has to check out the situation before making a decision. "I worried that his emotional issue (Kenny Wee slander lawsuit) won't be resolved so I set aside the 10 film contract plan for now. I will still sign him film by film.
