(1) The Most "Food For Thought" :: Kenny Wong's 'Artist Dinner Party' Drug Scandal
Suki Tsui's husband Kenny Wee and the drug scandal involving several celebrities has never ended. The incident started on November 22nd, when someone exposed there is video footage of 5 celebrities' "half-conscious" dinner party at Kenny's restaurant. It was rumored a former employee blackmailed Kenny with the alleged video clip. The involved celebrities Hilary Tsui, Josie Ho, Sam Lee, Grace Ip and Convoy Chan came forward with photos of their dinner gathering that night. There is wide speculation on whether this 'video clip' actually exists? Kenny refuted and said it's hard to confirm; For their reputation, Hilary and her group held two press conferences to clear their name and sent out a legal letter to Kenny. The latest development involves Eric Tsang slapping Kenny at former Miss HK Karmen Cheng's wedding. Oscar Leung criticized Kenny at the wedding party, defending Eric, which Kenny in turn has threatened to sue him for defamation if he does not make a public apology. (2) Most Glamorous Wedding :: Guo Jingjing & Kenneth Fok's Wedding
Fok and Guo were married after dating 8 years. The couple held a three day wedding ceremony in Fok's hometown (Nansha Islands) and in Hong Kong. They had a 150 table wedding banquet on November 11th (11.11 - meaning "together forever") inviting all HK officials. That same day, Alex To married his young 24 year old girlfriend (Ice).
Chin Ka Lok and Angela Tong tied the knot after being together for 5 years and learning Angela is pregnant with a Dragon baby. Its double happiness for the couple. The couple were officially married at Ocean Park's Panda Gallery, where the national treasured panda couple (Lok Lok/Ying Ying) witnessed their marriage.
(3) Most "You Can't Believe It" News :: Joey Yung Dating Wilfred Lau
The most unexpected and "you can't believe it" news in 2012 is believed to be HK pop queen Joey Yung publicly admitting she is taken by Wilfred! Joey had been rumored with her lesbian close friend Denise Ho for a full 10 years, the public already saw them as a pair long ago, so when her romance with Wilfred broke out, the public was greatly surprised. This year the hottest news are artists and public figures coming out announcing their sexual orientation. Following Anthony Wong exclaiming: "I am a Gay man" at his concert in April, the homosexuals in the industry started "coming out" as well. In September, Gigi Chiu and Sean exposed they were already married in France, but Gigi's father was unwilling to accept it. He publicly offered 500 million to any man who can become his son-in-law. The news made global headlines, England's The Sun, America's CNN and 20/20 and many other countries wanted to interview Gigi and Sean. Even Sacha Baron Cohen wanted to make a film called The Lesbian. In November, Denise Ho participated in a HK Gay Pride Parade, announcing "I'm a Lesbian" before 4,000 people. She got her parents and fans support.
(5) The Most Heartbreaking :: Jacqueline Law's Death
45 year old Jacqueline Law had been fighting cancer for 2 years and eventually passed away in Singapore. Jacqueline suffers from serious illness all her life. In the early years, she fell off a horse in Australia injuring her backbone and lost hearing on her right ear after going scuba diving in Papua New Guinea. She was later diagnosed with clinicial depression. In 2008, she married Singapore businessman, but unfortunately she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 years later. As a Christian, Jacqueline did not give up and in her autobiography, she wrote: "Enough Grace".

The happiest moments in 2012 is artists having babies one after another. Everyone wants to be a Dragon mom or dad. There is an estimated 30 celebrity babies in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong this year. Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2012 was suppose to be a HK-wide poll, but it ended in total failure as TVB's systems crashed and turned into a 'small circle' poll with only the organizer's 5 judges choosing the three winners. TVB learned their lesson and tried the HK-wide citizen voting system again for TV King and Queen.
(8) The Ultimate Break Up(s)
Leon Lai and Gaile Lok had been married for 4 years. It was rumored 3 times that Gaile was pregnant and another 3 times that there were conflict in their marriage. Results, photos of Gaile and a foreign male friend (Cuz) secret date was exposed. On October 3rd, Gaile and Leon issued a written statement through their management that they are getting a divorce due to "difference in lifestyles".
TVB Siu Sang and FaDan Bosco Wong and Myolie Wu announced their breakup in July ending their 8 year relationship; Ron Ng dated Mainland actress Viann Zhang briefly and also ended their relationship this year; 47 year old Maggie Cheung (Man Yuk) exposed in May she broke up with her French boyfriend, ending their 5 year relationship. Kenneth Ma and Nancy Wu secretly dated, but this year they announced they have already broken up.
(9) The Most Hideous :: ATV's TV License Protest
ATV's series of movements protesting against the government issuing free-to-air television licenses has stirred up negative reaction from the public. ATV's boss (Wong Ching) led artists outside the government building to do the Gangnam Style horse-riding dance, which has been crowned the most hideous television station. On November 11th, the Broadcasting Authority received 2200 complaints and many artists exposed they were forced to do it. Lately ATV wanted their artists to take acting lessons and fired 4 artists for being absent from the class. Wong Ching became the target of attacks once again.
(10) The Most Anticipated :: CTI's HKTV
Ricky Wong's Huge Television Battle. Ricky has been actively working on his new television station CTI, now officially called Hong Kong Television (HKTV) and challenging the 'big brother' TVB. Although he has not got his free-to-air TV license from the government, HKTV is actively preparing for the battle. Aside from poaching artists and behind the scenes, they even built their headquarters near Tseung Kwan O (where TVB is located). HKTV has already started several dramas and TV programs. Ricky hosted a sales presentation announcing their 'heavy flavor' themed dramas - bold, bloody and tradition-breaking. They were seriously arm wrestling TVB with better employee benefits and encouraging morale. This year at TVB's 45th Anniversary celebrations, the company spoke about their 45 year contributions in the industry and their future investments. There will only be improvement when there is competition. Ricky Wong's new TV station is highly anticipated.

2012 had a basket of gossips in the entertainment industry. There were rumored 'car sex' (Him Law/Tavia Yeung; Elaine Ng/Patrick Dunn; Christine Kuo/Michael Tse), mistreatment (TVB Director/Actress), violence (Eric Tsang/Kenny Wee), drug scandals (Kenny Wee/Hilary Tsui; Candy Chang) and several artists are involved in lawsuits. This year, TVB helped several artists hold press conferences or go on news programs to clarify/explain. Will there be less gossips next year? Nope.
