Ada Choi worried of daughter's high fever turned into a pregnancy rumor

Posted by Admin 0 comments
A few days ago, Ada Choi completed shooting TVB new series Beauty At War in Hengdian and then went on vacation to Singapore with her husband and daughter Chor Yee. Ada was in a great mood, often posting on Weibo. Aside from being happy, excited, anxious, alarmed, worried and surprised, Ada expressed "I don't know how to describe my feelings" while on her Singapore trip. Netizens suspected Ada and her husband successfully got pregnant with their second child while on vacation. Although Netizens left comments such as "Little Chor Yee is going to be a big sister" and "She's not pregnant is she?" Ada did not respond to any of the comments. It is suspected because it hasn't pass the 3 month sensitive period, therefore she cannot announce the good news yet.

Yesterday [Oriental Daily] contacted Ada to confirm the pregnancy rumor. She responded through SMS: "Because my daughter had a high fever and a rash, but she's better now. I was worried for 3 days. (Pregnant?) You all think too much!" Ada's manager said: "From what I know, she's not. What she wrote on Weibo is probably about something else."

Tony Leung Chiu Wai puts his Awards all over the place

Friday, August 03, 2012 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Tony Leung Chiu Wai yesterday with Zhou Xun, directors Felix Chong Man Keung and Alan Mak Siu Fai attended the film THE SILENT WAR (TING FUNG JEH) press conference. Mak Siu Fai revealed that Wai Jai placed his Hong Kong Film Awards and Golden Horse Awards randomly. Even his Cannes Best Actor certificate was placed on the floor. Wai Jai was not mad that his secret was revealed, and explained that he did not display the awards neatly together because he did not want to be so blatant. Although he was at home he still was better off being a little more low key. This way each time he made a movie he would feel it would be a new job. He also did not feel that putting the international Cannes Best Actor certificate on the floor was disrespectful. "I put oil paintings on the floor too, respect is in the heart!"

Wai Jai after years of making movies did not mind any genre, the only one that he would not make was ghost film. Because when he was little, his family rather enjoyed telling ghost stories. His aunt also liked to take him to see ghost films, so he was very afraid of the dark and ghosts. "For me making a ghost movie is torture. It's like telling me to go on amusement park rides; you might as well tell me to die."

Wai Jai was in much better shape. Actually because he had additional shoots for the December release THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI), he only ate oat meals and buckwheat noodles. In the scorching summer heat, he had to put on heavy clothing for 20 degrees below zero Celsius to perform. Very quickly he lost 9 pounds. He revealed that GRAND will shoot until October. For his earlier wedding anniversary he did not return to Hong Kong and celebrate with his wife Carina Lau Ka Ling. "Thus earlier on my birthday we celebrated that too."

Earlier when the film PAINTED SKIN: RESURRECTION (WAT PEI II) was released Zhou Xun did not any promotion. Was she at odds with Vicki Zhao and avoiding direct confrontation with her? Promotional company personnel protected Zhou Xun with the question not being related to SILENT, but Zhou Xun graciously said that it was not a problem for her to answer. Zhou Xun said, "No, we were not at odds. Since the film started production we were speculated to be at odds. As soon as we appeared the talks were endless. Throughout all the endless questions nothing happened." Yet they have not tried shared the stage to promote PAINTED SKIN: RESURRECTION. Zhou Xun explained that because Zhao Wei had to direct her own movie and she did not expect how strong the PAINTED SKIN RESURRECTION box office would be, so she did not know about the celebration as she was resting. Zhou Xun also admitted that earlier she won a lawsuit and donated the compensation to the United Nations for charity short film production.

Jennifer Tse and Andy Tien pair up for action film

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Jennifer Tse Ting Ting and boyfriend Andy Tien (On Chi Kit) worked together on an all new martial art action film. Andy was worried how tough it would be on his girlfriend and they argued about whether to take the role; he never expected Ting Ting to be addicted to it and even intended to work toward becoming an "action actress". Andy went from objecting to fully supporting his girlfriend, as their relationship took another step further; her brother Nicholas Tse Ting Fung was stubborn and silently felt proud of this little sister.

Ting Ting and Andy have dated for years. In recent years they have reached the marriage stage. Their first film as a couple NAKED WEAPON (JUET SIK MO HEI) will be officially released on August 23. In the film Ting Ting played a king hearted killer while Andy was a straight laced cop who was responsible for capturing Ting Ting. They were on opposite sides of the law and did not have too many emotional scenes, so they were able to compete in acting. Ting Ting said, "This was my first action film, luckily I didn't have to fight Andy. In the film we only had ambiguous plot lines and didn't have too many romantic scene. The advantage of being able to work together was more time to see each other. Because earlier Andy constantly worked in the Mainland, we didn't have a lot of time together."

Ting Ting revealed that Andy originally was concerned about the dangerous and kept objecting against her making action films; when he learned about her officially taking the role, they were in a cooling period for awhile. "He was mad for a long time. I could only gradually convince him. Because his movies have always been dangerous, why did I have to worry about him and he wouldn't let me try it once? Later he gradually accepted it. On the set he saw how much effort I put into learning. He changed to support me fully!" When asked whether he would fully support bed scenes, Andy took a deeply breath and said, "I would, this is her job. As long as she chooses to do it, I would fully support her!"

Andy at work met another Ting Ting. He revealed that Ting Ting on the set was very serious, which made him think that he did something wrong to make her mad. "On the set she concentrated on studying the script, camera angles and such. Even when I spoke to her, she would completely ignore her. I could only send text messages to ask whether I did something wrong to make her mad. I really wasn't used to it. Slowly I learned that it was her personality and I admired her professionalism very much." Ting Ting for her first action film not only had to fight but also had to wield weapons; she admitted that she made preparations before hand and learned a lot of actions that was needed for movies. Her brother Ting Fung and Philip Ng Won Lung were both mentors who she could ask for advice from.

Ting Ting said that her brother was an expert in fight scenes. Before the shooting she asked her brother for advice and even in the process deeply experienced her brother's love. "When I was training, he would record it with his phone. Once I saw him sharing it with his friends all around, I was pretty embarrassed because I wasn't successfully trained yet. However I was very happy. Actually Brother would feel proud of me and is worried about my work. (Between her brother and Andy who was cooler in action?) Of course Andy, because Brother will always be Brother. You wouldn't fall for him because he was cool. He couldn't be compared with Andy."

Chapman To reveals Dada Chen drags down the shoot

Posted by Admin 0 comments
The Pang Ho Cheung directed, Chapman To Man Jat and DaDa Chen Jing starred new category III film VULGARIA (DAI JOOK HEI KET). Although the dialogue and story were extremely vulgar, the film was savory and funny. To Man Jat on and off camera made people hold their bellies from laughing. He said, "When Pang Ho Cheung told me I would have a bed scene with DaDa, I was in Heaven. How far did DaDa go in LAN KWAI FONG (HEI OI YE PO)! I never expected that actually she and I were acting in a sick bed, I really wanted to curse. I even found out that while DaDa was pretty and poking out, she actually didn't know how to hold chopsticks! She kept on having bad takes. The film took 12 days to shoot. If DaDa knew how to hold chopsticks, it would have been done in 8 days!"

DaDa whined and brown nosed after hearing. "I am more used to using the fork, so no matter how I hold chopsticks it wasn't right. I had to learn on the spot. Whatever, it's never to late to learn. I was very happy to see my idol during the shot, when I saw Ah Jat I was so nervous that I had bad takes. On the first day at work we were rocking cars, I wasn't embarrassed. This character really had potential, I was fully prepared mentally. (Were you prepared to be poking out?) The scene was at home so it was very natural!"

Director Pang Ho Cheung said, "The film took 12 days to complete, which is considered my record. I just wanted to make back that type of hilarious Hong Kong films of yore. Luckily without any censor cut it was released with a category III rating. (The sensitive subject kept it from the Mainland market.) That doesn't mean loss. The film cost 7 million to make, it can break even. Investors drive the Mainland market, it's very hard to make a purely Hong Kong film! You can't say the Mainland market was sacrificed. I can 100% display my creativity without being castrated, it's well worth it!"

Kevin Cheng is Ip Man in Mainland's TV series version

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Following the two big Film Kings Tony Leung and Donnie Yen, TV King Kevin Cheng is going to make Ip Man another legend. A television giant in Mainland is investing into producing a TV series version of Ip Man. Just who is our first choice to take on the role as the legendary Ip Man? This time, Kevin defeats the rumored candidates Vincent Zhao, Wallace Huo and Wu Chun for the Ip Man role. It seems like 'Law Ba' will definitely become TVB's top gold digger.

Initially after Kevin completed 3 Mainland series earlier this year, for the rest of the year, he was planning to focus entirely on recording for his new album. However, because he saw the Ip Man TV series script, he really liked it. Also the salary was 280,000 RMB per episode, which is higher compared to his previous paychecks, and it is estimated his income will end up with 7 million RMB, so he was unable to resist the 'temptation'. He decided to participate in this series. In the past several days, Kevin have been actively recording and once he finishes working on his album, he's going to focus on Mainland's Ip Man, which had already started shooting on July 31st. However, Kevin won't be joining the crew until next week.

Andy show his support for disabled athletes in Beijing

Posted by Admin 0 comments
The world is crazy about the ongoing London Olympics Games, despite needed time to take care of his wife and daughter, Andy Lau is also crazy about the Olympic Games as he watched the live telecast till late night around 3am and still managed to go to work at 5am. Actually he’s also anticipating the 14th Paralympic Games opening on 29 August in London.

To show his support for the disabled and Paralympic Games athletes, he made a trip to Beijing Paralympic Games Center earlier to visit and show support to the athletes who were busy training. Andy revealed that in early September, he would fly off to London to show his support for the Paralympic Games. Upon hearing, all the athletes present cheered and sent invitation to Andy to watch them when they compete.

The Chinese Paralympic Games committee also presented a 2012 London Paralympic Games Chinese athletes Love Ambassador to Andy at the end of his visit. He said: “Whenever I see them, I would learn a lot from them, hope more people will show their concern to the disabled, support them and help them.”

In the short 1-day visit, Andy visited the track and field, blinded ball arena, swimming pool and basketball arena to show his support for the athletes before taking an early flight back to Hong Kong the next day.

Other than visiting, Andy participated in their training to experience what the athletes are feeling. He created quite a commotion at the wheelchair basketball as the athletes surrounded him for autographs and photographs, some even quipped that they would wear the Andy-autographed gear to complete in the Paralympic Games. While on the wheelchair, Andy did not managed to score as he sighed: “It’s not that simple! The wheelchair will wobble when you’re in a shooting position, how these athletes managed to shoot and score, really need time and effort to train.” When told by the coach that the wheelchair team won 10 gold medals in 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, Andy was shocked as he hope that they can do better this year.

At the blinded ball arena, Andy blindfolded his eyes to play ball. When he arrived, he recalled: “4 years ago I experienced this game, that time I was knocked out by a ball from a female player, never expected that it will be so pain, leave me a deep impression.” As he was blindfolded, he could only made use of the sound of the bell to determine the position to shoot, used hearing to pass ball, however the strength that he used was too soft that his team mates failed to catch the ball he passed, when shooting, his ball knocked onto the crew member standing by the side. He then quipped: “All of you team up to tease me…..” Everybody present burst into laughter.

At the swimming pool, Andy doubled up as assistant for He Junquan who won 4 gold medals and a silver medal in 2004 Greece Paralympic Games and 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. When Andy saw him, he quipped: “I’m back.” As He Junquan is armless, thus he need an assistant to hold a towel for He Junquan to bite during the start of the lap, Andy became his assistant and wish him to do better in London.

Andy would also be attending the Hong Kong Paralympic Games activities before flying off to London for the games in September to show support for the athletes.

Joey Meng foolishly forgets she drove to work, left car at filming location

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments

Roger Kwok, Joey Meng and Wong Cho Lam attended the blessing ceremony of TVB new series Cousin, You Are Good. Roger is having a pleasant collaboration with the cast, but joked that he has to really 'look after' Joey. He exposed her embarrassing moment: "She doesn't live up to her reputation, she's so forgetful. One time, she drove herself to the filming location, but after we finished filming, she actually forgot that she drove and went back to TVB on the bus instead, leaving her car behind." Later when, reporters teased Joey for being so foolish, she said: "That day I started work at 6am, it was in the bitter heat and we had to pay tennis and then we switched locations to the church! After we finished, all I thought was I wanted to go back on the bus to rest and then go back to TVB for the air conditioning. If the director didn't ask me (about driving), I totally forgot. I decided I'm not going to drive anymore."

Joey reveals on Monday after shooting until 1am, she already felt like she lost her soul and one time when playing tennis, she accidentally hit the ball on the director's chest: "I was also constantly eating the food, candy and biscuits that were used as props. To stop myself from tiredness, I eat!"

Joey Yung does not mind the wealth gap in love

Posted by Admin 0 comments
DIVA is Joey Yung Cho Yi's first big screen representative work. In the story a music diva falls for a blind hunk. Coincidentally Joey earlier was revealed to be in love with Wilfred Lau Ho Lung. When asked whether the difference in wealth and position would affect this budding romance, Joey said that she did not mind such matter. Life and movies were different. She would not look at whether his position was different. The focus would be on both liking each other.

Already in music for 12 years, Yung Cho Yi this year finally got the chance to make a big screen representative work DIVA. Although due to scheduling conflict she was unable to attend the Udine Film Festival she was fortunately enough to appear at the Shanghai Film Festival and the Hong Kong Summer International Film Festival. Yet Joey had a dream of this movie bringing her to the red carpets of different film festivals.

Joey in the film played a music diva, much like in real life. In the film she fell in love with Hu Ge who lost his sight to a diving practice accident. Thus the Chapman To Man Jat played manager scolded her with foul language and brought her to tears. She even angrily roared, "This job of mine is just singing, am I not a human being?"

Used to living a quiet and lonely life, Hu Ge did not want Joey to bring him into the glitz and glamor as he directly told Joey, "You don't mess with my life, go and be your star!" They had a pool scene, in which Joey wanted to remind Hu Ge of his past diving glory. Yet Hu Ge angrily scolded, "No one would harm me for being blind, why did you bring me back to this water world!"

Jeana Ho gets all wet

Pseudo model Jeana Ho Pui Yu earlier worked on an intimate scene with film new comer Justin Cheung Kin Sing. In the story Cheung Kin Sing gropes Jeana's breasts. Parkman Cheung came to the set to keep an eye on his girlfriend, which had Cheung Kin Sing sweating bullets. Jeana complained, "He got me all wet!"

Jeana earlier worked on the new film DUE WEST OUR SEX JOURNEY (YUT LO HEUNG SAI) and gave a wild performance. She not only generously disrobed in front of the camera but also had many intimate scenes with film new comer Cheung Kin Sing, even when Cheung Kin Sing grabbed her breasts she did not act up. She was very professional.

In the story when Cheung Kin Sing grabbed Jeana, something did not feel right. Jeana boldly said, "Right, I just had an enlargement." Cheung Kin Sing was stunned. Due to the nature of the scene Jeana's boyfriend Parkman Cheung took time to visit the set. After the scene Jeana quickly left the set with her boyfriend.

Jeana revealed that her co-star Cheung Kin Sing was more nervous than she was. "The crew all said that he has gotten very familiar with the shoot, but for some reason with me that day he was very nervous. His hands were sweaty and got my chest all wet." Some people often put 'Change' at the tip of their tongue, but often there are no actions made. On discussion forums, Fala Chen is known as 'Fala BB', a goddess who is already standing firm in TV and film, and recently became a singer. Aside from going after the TV Queen award, she's not even going to let go of the Most Popular Female Singer! Fala said before she had no ambitions, but she's actually been the choir since youth and had dreams of becoming a singer. This dream started even before her wish to be TV Queen: "I really like to sing. I wanted to be a singer earlier on. From middle school to college, I've been a member in the choir and always go out for performances. I really enjoyed it."

Solo Unfolds Her True Self

Chorus and solo are two different things. Fala's love for solo singing started from chorus: "When I was studying in college, I was very busy, but no matter how busy I was, I still wanted to sing in the choir! That time, I started doing musicals and had a solo, it was one of the happiest moments in my life!" Reality is cruel, after entering the entertainment circle, Fala participated in at least three series per year, and she had commercials and other stage performances: "I was really busy the last several years, didn't even have time to eat. Luckily I had a few opportunities to do stage performances and sing. It was not only then that people discovered that Fala can sing! In fact, it's really about fate that I could be a singer, TVB had been helping me find a record company all along and at the same time Stars Shine wanted to recruit singers. Stars Shine really has put in a lot of resources on me. They didn't care whether if they would make any money or not. I knew this opportunity isn't bad, and if I miss it, I don't know when there will be another opportunity!"

Charging into TV, Film & Music

In the past, Fala only sang other people's songs. Today, she has her own songs and excitedly said: "It feels good! It's like a dream to have my own songs! I know I'm still far from being a professional singer, but I didn't know how to act before either. It's through all the training, that I am where I am today. I have confidence that I can do it! As an actress, I pretend to be someone else, but as a singer, I can be myself and truly display the real Fala!" She believed success or failure does not lie in whether if she makes money or not: "Does it have to be that my album sells well and that my songs are a great hit, that I'm considered successful? If I don't try new things, then how will I know if I can do it or not? Becoming a singer is a dream of mines, now that my dream has come true, I have nothing to lose!" When asked if she does well in both the TV and music scene, how will she choose between the two? The greedy Fala said: "Are there any heavenly kings or superstars that don't find a balance in different fields? I really hope one day I can have agony on whether I should be a singer or an actress, I would tell myself, I want to do both!"

[Excerpt from Apple Daily] Nowadays singers' standards can really be heavily criticized, Teresa Carpio once said being a singer is easy, but they may not necessarily know how to sing. Fala agrees. First time performing live on JSG, she was very nervous and resulted in heavy criticisms on her getting off-key. Fala views this experience as a benefit: "When I sang live at events before, I sang other people's songs to entertain the audience, that's not as stressful because I wasn't a singer then. Many times, my thoughts about a performance is the same as acting. If I can't concentrate and get into character and the story, then I won't be able to cry. On JSG that time, I learned a lesson that I must have a 100% good performance in the future. If I'm not at the right state before going on stage, then I will start feeling afraid on stage. Soon after, that same week, I performed live again and I did better. My heart was not beating as fast, haha. It feels like after the first kiss. On the second kiss, you won't feel as nervous!"

Fala learned a lesson and reflected on it. She knows she needs time to improve: "Reality won't allow me to be like Teresa Carpio, train for several decades, so I can only do my best and learn from each experience and make improvements. I believe even a person who really knows how to sing, being on stage for the first time, they will be very nervous as well." [Apple Daily]

Epilogue: Beautiful and Sweet Voice

The frequent saying: "a beautiful person with a sweet voice", just how good is the beautiful Fala's singing voice? [Oriental Daily] reporter asked Fala to perform something quick live on the spot for her to listen to, so she could record it as a ringtone. Fala hummed Bird Has Fallen. (English equivalent: London Bridges Is Falling Down) Fala's high notes were sweet, medium notes were accurate and her low notes were strong! This became the reporter's ringtone! Fala's debut album Beautiful Life releases today, July 31, 2012.

Earlier Raymond Lam was rumored to have sparked with newcomer Karena Ng, and then it was rumored that he was already secretly dating Mainland actress Yuqi Liu since last year. However, Raymond denied he dated Yuqi, but Yuqi immediately criticized that he's a good "actor" and a playboy "Film King"! After the incident, Raymond rarely made any public appearances, and even avoided attending his series Three Kingdoms RPG's promotion event. He said he wasn't feeling well as an excuse!

However, currently busy working in the three areas (TV, film and music), last night Raymond finally makes an appearance to work on a new film. A "Meaty" competition: 'Law Ba' Kevin Cheng v.s Olympics' Diving Prince

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Last year Ghetto Justice was a huge hit, and this year to counter the London Olympics, the sequel Ghetto Justice II (GH2) is seen as TVB's secret weapon to keep the viewership up. In the last few days, Hong Kong's favorite sport, diving, has already begun broadcasting and the China team even won gold in the men's 10m synchronized diving. As a counterattack, last night GH2's premiere starts out with a 'meaty plan' to win some audience back. Lead actors Kevin Cheng, Sam Lee and Jazz Lam showed off their shoulders. Then Kevin and Myolie Wu had challenging intimate scenes. In the series Wong See Fu (Myolie) transform into a bear hugger and initiated a passionate kiss with Kevin. The two also have bed scenes with Kevin stripping to the max.

GH2's premiere averaged at 29 points (1.86 million viewers), but the rating was clearly affected by the Olympics, stealing almost all of the audience. Last week's Witness Insecurity finale week averaged 33 points, this week with GH2 taking over, they lost 4 points (~260k viewers).

Reporters asked Myolie if she's worried that the Olympics would affect GH2's ratings? She said it can't be helped, Olympics only happens once 4 years, series ratings will definitely be affected. When speaking of her intense kiss scenes with Kevin? Mylie expressed it's not done deliberately, it's mostly to describe Law Ba and Wong See Fu's relationship, that they still bicker and are funny.

GH2's premiere got good response from the audience. However, some felt bad that Joyce Tang and Eddie Kwan's roles were gone.

Myolie Wu and Eric Huang collaborated as a couple in Mainland drama A Splendid Family (金玉滿堂). Even if Myolie stressed her breakup with Bosco Wong had nothing to do with a third party, but yesterday photos from the new drama leaked online. There is 'strong proof' that Myolie and Eric's relationship is pretty deep. It was rumored when the two were on the set shooting a kiss scene, they were kissing for 5 whole minutes and even if when the director called cut, the two still continued as if no one was around. The staff were all surprised as well.

In private, the two also met up for karaoke and their affair was already an open secret. When they completed shooting the drama, Eric did not avoid and posted an intimate photo with Myolie on Weibo.

When asked if she felt she was 'taken advantage'? She said: "Didn't think about it, either way, it's not a good thing! I know everyone is concerned about the break up, so I thought of many ways that I could explain before, I just hope the speculations will stop." She also exposed the paparazzi has been following her for several days, and sighed: "no one dares to come near me". When asked if she'll move out of her current residence? She expressed its about timing and that her relationship with Bosco isn't as bad as the public thinks it is. It was also reported that she met up with a close friend to bad-mouth Bosco? Myolie explained it was just a normal friends' gathering.

(Hilary snaps a photo of the girl taking photos of her back)

Eason Chan, his wife Hilary Tsui and their daughter are on summer vacation in Vancouver. Eason and his family celebrated his 38th birthday peacefully. Yesterday, Hilary scolded on Weibo that without her consent, someone took pictures of them. Due to this, a war of words started on Weibo. Yesterday morning, Hilary posted a photo of a girl on Weibo and wrote: "Impolite Chinese people! A family of three are on vacation, and just having a normal lunch together, you all are constantly taking pictures of us! You didn't even bother to ask beforehand! Disrespectful!"

It was understood, Eason and his wife were having lunch at a restaurant in Vancouver, when many other customers recognized Eason. Such a rare occasion to be having lunch in the same restaurant as the King of Pop. Some people excitedly started taking pictures with their cell phones. A witness saw Eason and his daughter playing happily and didn't care about the others looking at them. Hilary, on the other hand, was very upset that the table across from them were taking photos. Then Hilary took her phone out and took pictures of them back, as a counterattack. She had a very angered face.

Hilary then posted the photo she took online and scolded "Impolite Chinese people". Soon after, Hilary knew she was wrong and quickly deleted her Weibo post and posted another message explaining herself.

Hilary said to the people that scolded her, she is also Chinese, but she hopes people be higher quality and give others their privacy. She and her family were just on vacation and people started taking pictures, that made her feel unhappy, so that's why she said that. Hilary brought out the principles: "How can I be upset at people embarrassing the Chinese?" She expressed she often encounters these situations, so how could she be upset? Yesterday at 8pm, there were already over 100,000 comments on her Weibo. The majority attacked her. Some people said, many people like Eason, and asked her not to embarrass her husband.
