Johnnie To admits meeting Wang Lijun

Recently a Mainland magazine revealed that Wang Lijun who was known as the pioneer against organized crime in Chongqing over two years ago was interested in making a film or a television series about his fight against gangs and thus contacted many film and television celebrities. According to the magazine Johnnie To Kei Fung said that he once scouted Chongqing for location and has met with Wang Lijun 4 times. In addition the city propaganda ministry revealed that because To Kei Fung turned the fight against gangs into a gun fight film and did not meet the theme, the creative idea was shot down.
To Kei Fung was asked whether he has met with Wang Lijun. "During the film research stages I have indeed met with him."
