Miss Asia 2012: #8 Yu Kin Yu Dislikes Being a Tavia Yeung lookalike
Friday, November 02, 2012
Yesterday the 12 contestants of ATV's Miss Asia Contest 2012 met the press in bikinis. The oldest contestant was 31 year old "Pirated Cheryl Yang", Yu Kin Yu (#8). Recently, she attended an event and was praised that she looked a lot like stage play actress Cheryl Yang. However, there are ups and downs to being a 'natural born with celebrity looks'. When reporters mentioned she also looks a lot like TVB FaDan Tavia Yeung, Yu Kin Yu said with dislike: "I've heard someone say I look like Cheryl Yang, perhaps in some angles I look like Tavia." Reporters said her nose isn't as sharp as Tavia's. She said: "It's better luck with a rounder nose!"
While Yu Kin Yu disliked the comment that she looks like Tavia, contestant #5, Chai Chan San was said to resemble singer Kay Tse, she was more accepting and said: "I came from Anhui (China) and didn't know Kay Tse before, but after I looked her up online, I do think my eyes and lips resemble hers, especially the smile."
