Andy Lau and new Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying and Ocean Park chairman Allan Zeman were the special guests at Ocean Park for the opening ceremony of its new attraction Polar Adventure.

As usual Andy kept a low profile as he kept mum anything about his daughter, he also changed his usual answer of “asking the media to be obedient and not ask him questions” to “tell you in private”. Meanwhile, Andy is also angry that people managed to get a copy of his daughter’s birth certificate, which is not right.

To accommodate the new attraction’s theme, Andy wore a snowboard jacket even the temperature is more than 30 degree celsius, but he is still all smiles. During the event, Allan Zeman mentioned about Andy’s newborn baby a few times but Andy did not make any replies but took a few steps back instead. After the ceremony, Andy personally went to the penguins habitat to give them instructions and feeding them.

Wearing the snowboard jacket in the hot weather, Andy expressed: “So hot, but it’s very cold inside the habitat, the water’s temperature is just a mere 8 degrees.” He quipped: “Previously did serve the penguins during the shooting of a commercial, however this time I’m meeting the King penguins.”

When talked about Allan Zeman kept mentioning his baby, Andy joked: “I was standing behind him telling him Baby Stop It, haha. (Did you mind?) OK la, it doesn’t matter if people or the media talked about it, I won’t be talking about it.” When asked about his ability in taking care of his daughter and would he be bringing her to the Ocean Park, he changed his usual answer of “obedient, don’t ask” to “tell you in private”. During work, does he think of his daughter, he expressed: “No difference from the past. (Cut down on your work load?) Nope, there’s not much work.” With regards to the reports of him buying a mansion for his daughter, he expressed: “Not right to talk about it here, let the news be, I’m only responsible to reading it, with regards to whether it’s true or false, I won’t reply.”

There was another report which publish his daughter’s birth certificate which reveal her Chinese name ‘Xiang Hui’ and English name Hanna, Andy exclaimed: “Recently then I found out that one can have a copy of one’s birth certificate if you have the parents’ name, birth country and date, in addition to a fee of $140, I think this is not right. (Are you unhappy?) Nope, the rules are like this. (Will you change your daughter’s name?) I won’t give you an answer, I just feel that the system has some problem here.” When asked if he had feedback this issue to Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying, he expressed: “He has a lot of things to think about, wait till he finish his tasks on hand, this can be resolve by normal citizen, not urgent!”

During the event, Andy did not have a chance to chat with the Chief Executive as they just greeted each other. Andy revealed that he had first met Leung Chun-ying during the early 90s on a flight. When told that many citizen hoped that he could become Chief Executive, he quipped: “I’m not interested and does not have the ability!” With regards to his anticipation of the Chief Executive, Andy exclaimed that he just started his tenure, it would have to see how he does in future.
