Upgraded her status to a wife, Gigi Leung flew to Taipei early to do a vigorous rehearsal for her OUR BEST MOMENT CONCERT held tomorrow night at Taipei's International Conference Center. Gigi actively rehearsed her singing, dancing and piano playing, hoping to give it her best when she meets with fans again. Seeing her rehearsing her singing with the Band while twisting her body around, we can see how cheerful she was. She frankly expressed after marriage, her attitude towards life have really changed and even at work she has an especially relaxed feeling. "In fact, I had been practicing my singing with a teacher all along. I feel so relaxed and comfortable. Perhaps its because of my good mood, I feel so much calmer now and to me, my career is just enjoyment now!"
Gigi is currently in Taipei, but her Spanish husband Sergio is in HK working. However, Sergio still knows how to support Gigi from a long distance. He asked his Taiwanese friends to give a surprise to Gigi, she said: "I got flowers for my surprise. He's a foreigner, so he's rather romantic. Suddenly receiving his flowers, I feel so surprised. He really is a perfect husband and I feel very comfortable being with him. Perhaps we both know how to mutually support and respect one another." Aside from her husband, Gigi's good friend Valen Hui also loves Gigi very much. As someone into keeping good health, Valen especially made Gigi soup to help her replenish her energy. "My mom is very worried about my health, afraid I'll fall ill and affect my vocals. If I was at HK, my mom would prepare a whole food therapy plan for me, but I'm in Taiwan now, so she asked Valen to make soup for me and take up the responsibility to look after me."
Gigi reveals she will be performing her classic Mandarin songs over the past 15 years at her concert. During rehearsal, she often naturally recalls the past and many times she felt so emotional, she teared up, especially when she was preparing for the Taiwanese song Moving Forward. The song talks about the feelings and struggles of a person leaving their hometown to work in the city. She said: "This is truly able to represent my feelings when I had to go alone to Taiwan for my career development at age 19. This time, I will be dueting with Valen, and she's been teaching me the Taiwanese pronunciations."
