01. MOSES CHAN -- The One
Within a year, Moses Chan went through a breakup with his ex (Bernice Liu), who went with another man, and became the most miserable man in HK. Back to single life, Moses immediately became a target to many FaDans and actresses in TVB. It was then he got the label as the #1 Best Deal. Unexpectedly Aimee Chan 'acquired' him and Moses did a 180 degree turn becoming the #1 Sweetheart. With addition to his 8 endorsements and several TV productions, he was the number 1 highest earning TVB artist. He's #1 in everything, no wonder Moses described this year as a year where too many things happened, he just said one word: "Nice!"
02. CHARMAINE SHEH -- SEE YOU AGAIN NEXT YEAR?
Charmaine left TVB to develop in Mainland, but it turns out that just in a blink of an eye, she has already left the company for a year already. It is just because within a year TVB kept airing her final series including My Sister of Eternal Flower, When Heaven Burns and 4 In Love that it feels like she never left, but that also means her series have all been aired. As she still owes TVB another 20 episodes, when will she shoot another series with them? Still there has been no schedule. "That's right, my time in HK nowadays is indeed not a lot. At first, I thought I wouldn't be accustomed to it, but turns out my adaptation ability is very strong. I already really like the life of shooting series in China, the work hours aren't too long and I have more personal time. It's quite relaxing..." Although the Charmaine today has a different attitude and higher pay, but thinking back in the 11 years, having an annual meeting with her (Next Magazine Awards), there is a great possibility that we won't see her next year (Because she has no TVB series, and still can't shoot series from other HK TV Stations yet.), I'm afraid it is me that won't be able to adapt to it!
03. MYOLIE WU -- AFTERWARDS
Two months ago, we saw Myolie Wu crowned TV Queen and knew she was getting awards nonstop. Lately she has been in Mainland shooting and earning some extra income, but when we mentioned the 'Next Magazine TV Awards', we thought Myolie would put up the TV Queen attitude and could careless, but Myolie really gave us face. She said if she's that lucky to make it in, then she will definitely make time on her schedule to be back in HK to attend the award show. Results, Myolie made it the Top 3. For this special edition, Myolie sacrificed her sleep time, and came to do her make up and hair at 4am.
04. MAGGIE CHEUNG -- ESCAPE!!
Maggie has already switched over to Ricky Wong's CTI and became the First Sister there. Before her depature from TVB, she participated in Forensic Heroes III and was able to make it in 4th place. Leaving the company she had been with for 17 years, Maggie expressed it's not because of TVB's harsh contract conditions or the discussions didn't go well, it is just because she feels it's really abnormal to be in the same company for 17 years: "HK will have a few more TV stations soon, I just feel its better for the TV Industry. Changing companies is actually something very normal, go to a new environment, will definitely bring new knowledge. It's just like recently when I'm shooting a Mainland drama, the crew there are very serious and efficient. It was an eye-opener for me too. If I don't go and see what's out there, I will never know!"
However, the most frightening is if she becomes a 'traitor', TVB may shut her out and there will be no turning back. "In the business world, there is nothing that is forever. Before I left, I met with Miss Lok (Virgina Lok), Tsang Jeh (Catherine Tsang) and Mr. Chan Fai Kwong, there wasn't anything unhappy that occurred. Also, I believe such a big company, there won't be such sensitive (shut out) things happening right?"
05. LINDA CHUNG -- EXTREME TEARS
Often playing the innocent obedient girls, Linda Chung's one crying scene in Yes Sir, Sorry Sir got the entire HK discussing. She made headlines "Sobs Shakes The Whole City" on the entertainment section. Linda instantly became part of the group with acting skills. Later she continues the crying in L'Escargot, further establishing Linda's 'Miserable Queen' label.
"For every crying scene, my tears are all real because if I can't touch myself to tears, then it's hard to touch audience hearts, but after these two series, I stopped the crying scenes. On the third time, audience may feel I cried pretty well, but on the 4th, 5th or 6th time, audience will start saying that I'm only crying and there's nothing else to do. So, I don't want to be stuck in one type of character, I can actually be a bad person too, or a criminal.."
06. BOSCO WONG - SELF-DESTRUCTION
Since Bosco Wong and Myolie Wu started dating, they have never deliberately tried to conceal their relationship, but recently Bosco described Myolie as "the woman in my house". He's becoming more and more honest. We see that the Siu Sangs from his generation, all choose to pretend and be pure, won't be in relationships, just love fans. It was just like when I mentioned at my company that I would be doing the photo shoot with Kenneth, my female colleagues immediately bounced up and asked: "When are you going to do the photo shoot with Yat Kin Tau? I want to see him!" That day, there were 4-5 female admin workers that stood by the studio's doorway the whole time to watch and their goal is to take a picture with Yat Kin Tau.
He said: "I am far from being the Best Deal', I just think I don't have a house yet and just my financial capability, I'm not qualified!" Kenneth still modestly denied.
08. TAVIA YEUNG - STAR ROMANCE
Tavia has played a professional role in three consecutive series, Yes Sir Sorry Sir she was a teacher, then in The Other Truth she was a lawyer and in The Hippocratic Crush she was a doctor. Among the three, Tavia expressed The Hippocratic Crush was her favorite. "I feel the doctor role is very holy and positive. Conveys a lot of loving messages!"

42 year old Kevin Cheng made a successful breakthrough in last year's Ghetto Justice. He even became a two time TVB King winner. Not just that, his Mainland drama Startling Step by Step has been a huge hit. Kevin immediately washes away that 'moldy smell'. Currently, Mr. Cheng is wanted everywhere around the country, he boasted that each episode in Mainland, he gets 300,000 RMB, comparable to Huang Xiao Ming! However, I'm not interested to know how much he gets per episode, I care more about if the majority of Kevin's time will be in Mainland.
10. FALA CHEN - HERE COMES GODDESS
When Fala was taking these photos, she said she feels like a demon that just rise from a landfill, just like the Grim Reaper is coming. Indeed, when Fala is not smiling, she looks like a cool and hard to predict person. So last year when she joined the TV Queen battle, she was arranged to be the villain, using hot and spicy methods to take compete for the award. However, in the end she left with nothing and suffered from an illness that left her putting work to hiatus. "There are gains and loses to everything. Lives of Omission was well acclaimed, and I'm Happy, but later the news got me not knowing what to do. Actually it's fine for a few negative reports, but often writing bad about me is never a good thing. However, I can't control it, like when I first debuted, the reports kept saying I was flirty, but after a while, I started playing good characters and did what I had to do, now it's better. Audience can see what kind of person I am!" Currently Fala is still in the resting and restoring phase, sleeping 8 hours a day, watches DVDs, reading books and practicing her acting. She changes from the Reaper to a Goddess.
