After Bosco Wong and Myolie Wu took part in a public event in Hong Kong as a couple, the two head up north to earn more of the Chinese yuan (RMB) in Mainland. Myolie Wu has already started shooting modern drama Happy Ever After (金玉滿堂) in Suzhou, pocketing 5.4 million RMB.
As for Bosco, he was strongly invited by well-known Mainland production company Xin Hai Ying Shi (鑫海影視) to take part in their new TV series The Woman on Bread Tree (麵包樹的女人), an adaptation of an novel by famous author Zhang Xiaoxian. He will be working with popular Mainland actress Tang Yan and Taiwanese Sonia Sui, who became popular after The Fierce Wife.
The Woman on Bread Tree is estimated to release in May in Shanghai. Filming will take place in Sanya City and areas in Southeast Asia. It was said Bosco's current price for Mainland series is about 130,000 RMB per episode. This drama is going to be split into two seasons for a total of 80 episodes, Bosco will only be taking part in the first season, which is 40 episodes and that totals up to be 5.2 million RMB. He is earnings just follows closely behind his girlfriend (5.2 million vs 5.4 million). As a couple, just shooting Mainland dramas, this year the couple will already pocket nearly 10 million RMB.
