Kate Tsui: “I Cannot Accept A Long Distance Relationship!”

Saturday, August 20, 2011 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Kate Tsui (徐子珊) admitted that from an earlier vacation to Europe, she met a good-looking German man. “During the trip, I met a German family. The elderly couple were extremely nice and introduced me to their son. Afterwards, we went to drink coffee and exchanged e-mail addresses for future contact.” Kate highly praised the man for his good looks. However, she may be unable to accept a long-distance romance.

Kate appeared at a Coach store opening at the MGM Hotel in Macau with Pansy Ho (何超瓊) yesterday. Earlier, Kate traveled to Europe for vacation. The original plan was to stay in Europe for three weeks. However, in order to attend the Coach store opening, Kate had to end her vacation early. Since Pansy’s birthday will be August 26th, she indicated that she will be celebrating with her face, Macau casino tycoon, Stanley Ho.

Discussing about her recent trip to Europe, Kate revealed, “I just came back from a two-week trip to Eastern Europe, in which I traveled alone. Kate was identified by Hong Kong and mainland fans in Prague, Vienna and Frankfurt, which made her feel very happy. While in Frankfurt, Kate met a German couple in their seventies who introduced their son to her. The couple treated Kate and their son to dinner. Asked whether the man met her criteria, Kate noted, “He is very tall and handsome. He also possessed a good personality. We also went to drink coffee and exchanged phone numbers. We can see if there is possible further development. To family invited me to visit their home during Christmas.”

Asked whether Kate accepted long distance relationships, she replied “When I was a student, I had a long distance relationship. However, since my distance with him (the German man) is so far apart, we may not be together. I am already very happy to have a romantic adventure!”

Regarding Ron Ng’s (吳卓羲) semi-open romance with mainland actress, Viann Zhang, Kate was portrayed as Ron’s ex-flame [by the media]. Kate said, “Congratulations to them! I will work harder (to meet a boyfriend)!” (Allegedly to support Viann, Ron scolded his fans online.) “The most important keeping the peace. There’s no need to get too nervous. Fans know how to sympathize with their idols. As long as they calmly handle matters, it will be fine.”

Ella Koon Nearly Bumps Into Ron Ng’s Girlfriend, Viann Zhang

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Singer Ella Koon (官恩娜) has been running into a slate of bad luck recently, bumping into unwanted people everywhere. Last week, when she went to TVB for some filming, in a bid to avoid being at the same venue as former rumored lover, Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Ella actually turned to hiding in the filming studio. Unexpectedly, last night, Ella nearly bumped into Ron’s current lover, Viann Zhang (張馨予). Fortunately for Ella, Viann cancelled her appearance at the very last moment, allowing Ella to heave a sigh of relief and didn’t have to hide in the studio to avoid any awkwardness.

Last week, when Ella Koon went to the TVB City at Tseung Kwan O for the recording of "變身男女ChokChokChok", the filming slot coincided with program Jade Solid Gold "勁歌金曲" for which former rumored lover Ron Ng was at the opposite studio filming. To avoid bumping into Ron, Ella hid in the studio. Surprisingly, after a week, history still repeated itself!

Last night, Ella went to TVB to film Jade Solid Gold and the timing coincided with the opposite studio’s "變身男女ChokChokChok" for which Ron’s current new lover, mainland star Viann Zhang, had been invited to go on. Fortunately for Ella, this awkward scene of Ron’s new and former lover gathering together eventually did not take place. This was because Viann who had initially agreed to go on the Chok program, was ordered by the drama team to rush back to mainland to work, thus cancelling plans to appear on the show at the very last minute.

Scared It Will Affect Work

Ella who managed to escape from the awkward situation, was asked by reporters whether she could finally breathe freely again. In reply to this, Ella said, “Don’t say it until like that lahs! Don’t wish to talk about other people’s matters.” (Will you be embarrassed if you bumped into her?) “No, I also don’t know her (Viann). I don’t wish to say anymore; it’s none of my business. I’m just doing my own work. As a spokesperson for this product I’m endorsing, I don’t wish for any rumors, fabricated tabloid reports or strange news to affect my work.” With regard to her hiding from Ron Ng last week, Ella expressed that she didn’t avoid anyone and she was just trying to do her own job well.

The executive producer of the Chok program, Wilson Chin (錢國偉) however said, “Viann Zhang called me and abruptly cancelled plans to appear on this show because of work but we didn’t know they might bump into each other here.” (Was it to avoid Ella Koon?) “I really don’t know. If I had known (that she would have bumped into Ella here), the more I wouldn’t tell Viann lahs.” Wilson continued to say that Viann will be coming to Hong Kong again to attend the movie premiere of her new film thus he may invite her (to appear on the variety program Chok) again.

Carol Yeung Doesn’t Mind Having A Fat Man As Her Boyfriend

In other news, Hong Kong sexy model, Carol Yeung (楊梓瑤), who is known for her huge assets appeared on the program Chok in a well covered up outfit. Carol smiled and said that this show was about posing and looking Chok and not to show off her bod.

Carol revealed that earlier on when she collaborated with Viann, they did have a small talk with each other but both of them did not discuss about affairs of the heart. Carol also expressed that she was envious of Viann for being able to date as she herself has not dated for a long time now.

When asked about her rumors with director Patrick Kong (葉念琛) and getting snapped clubbing together, Carol responded, “We are only good friends. He’s so talented of course there will be many girls who will fight for him.” The conditions Carol later listed when seeking a boyfriend seemed to resemble Patrick Kong, “I like guys who are talented, not necessary to be handsome, big or mighty. Even a fat man would also do!”

Stephen Wong Waiting To Be Promoted After 10 Years In TVB

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Stephen Wong (黃嘉樂) has been working for TVB for ten years now but he has yet to be promoted to first or second line actor. He admits that it may be due to him not having enough initiative and hence lacking in the capability to handle matters. Stephen, who has been waiting to be promoted, professed that he often consulted Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) and Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and extracted the strengths of these two TVB actors to learn from.

Stephen, who has a sunny and handsome exterior, had starred in plenty of TVB drama serials and left quite an impression on viewers. For now, Stephen has been accepting series after another with TVB and without even realizing it, he had actually endured with TVB for ten full years now. Although he has yet to be promoted to first or second line actor position, Stephen professed that as compared to many people, he felt it wasn’t considered tough yet. In order to succeed in the entertainment circle, besides needing to work hard, timing, location (being at the right place at the right place) and people (meeting the right people and having good interpersonal skills) were essential elements too.

Asked about what he felt he was lacking in, Stephen said, “Maybe I am extremely lacking in initiative, too silent and deprived of the capability to handle matters. A lot of people thought that I was arrogant as I don’t really speak. As a Sagittarius, by rights, I should be talkative. Actually it’s because I wanted to prevent myself from making mistakes if I continued talking. I do not really know how to say things.”

Comparing To Others Will Only Make Yourself Miserable

In the current broadcast of The Life and Times of A Sentinel "紫禁驚雷", Stephen acted as as Nalan Xingde (納蘭性德). To act as the Qing Dynasty’s foremost Poet, Stephen professed that there was a certain level of difficulty. Faced with very long dialogues and at the same time, not letting viewers feel puzzled proved to be a great test of skill.

Stephen declared that he will usually receive advice and tips from “Big Brother” Kevin Cheng and “Second Brother” Kenneth Ma, stealing and learning some of their strengths from there. Stephen said, “Many times when filming, we remember dialogues but we don’t remember the opening scene and the positions thus I follow ‘Second Brother’ Kenneth’s advice to take a notebook to record the details upon receiving the script. ‘Big Brother’ Kevin told me to be diligent in doing some homework, immerse myself in any role given and that several times one has to psycho himself and cannot tell himself that he can’t do it! Many times, as an artist, we will find ourselves returning back to a standstill situation. However, we must tell ourselves, ‘I can do it,’ but I will not compare myself to others because it will only make yourself more miserable.”

Stephen was currently busy filming Happy House, Hidden Dragon "樂府藏龍", acting as Bobby Au-Yeung’s (歐陽震華) younger brother. Towards this senior, Stephen revealed that Bobby wasn’t only the apple of their eye (for making them happy on set) but would also give them opportunities to develop their acting skills further, “No matter how tired he was, Bobby would elevate us, return a reaction to let us develop in our roles and would even find an opportunity for everyone to create some acting sparks for the drama. Bobby really takes good care of juniors like us!”

From Nothing to Lovesick

Other than that, Stephen was earlier rumored with Natalie Tong (唐詩詠) and Coffee Lu (呂晶晶) at the same time. In reply to this, Stephen smiled and said, “If you were to eat salted fish, you have to bear the thirst (One has to pay a price to everything). There really has been an increased number of magazines reporting about my love life, from nothing to making me sound lovesick. Honestly saying, I rather hope that there was no news (about me) than having some negative news written about me.”

Steven Ma does not think Joey Yung's new song plagiarized his song

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Joey Yung's new song Flower Thousand Trees (花千樹) was said by Netizens to have plagiarized Steven Ma's old song No Longer Pessimistic (不再悲觀). Steven said: "Perhaps the melody is similar, but in fact there are only so many music notes, I can understand that sometimes songs may sound similar. I believe there was no intention to plagiarize. Joey's song is very good, when we don't purposely think about it, it does not sound the same." Tell Steven to do a cover of No Longer Pessimistic? He expressed the song is hard to sing, and he may not have the confidence to perform the song well, instead why not just go sing Joey's Flower Thousand Trees in the karaoke.

After losing ten pounds successfully after giving birth, Leila Tong carried her chubby baby to the Fanling market recently. Looking a little round and wearing a tshirt, shorts and flip flops, Leila was very much like a young housewife when she was picking out the vegetables and fruits.

As she needs to pick out the items and carry her baby at the same time, Leila faced some difficulties at times and had some problems trying to take out her wallet to make payment. Just as she was busy trying to get organised, the stallholders played with her baby and he reacted with some sounds and a sweet smile like his mother, pleasing them very much. They also praised that the baby was as cute as Leila. After leaving the vegetable stall, Leila went to a pet shop nearby, bought some turtle food and left within a minute for home.

Leila accepted a phone interview after the incident and said that she will bring the baby out to walk around in order to familiarize with the surroundings. She also explained why she left so quickly, "Because BB is very afraid of the heat and usually he will start to perspire while drinking milk. The weather recently is so hot that I do not dare to bring him out for too long."

As for buying vegetables, Leila explained that it was for her dogs at home. "I will prepare carrots for them to eat and I do not wish that they will feel neglected after I gave birth to BB."

Young models Carol Yeung Chi Yiu, Annie G., Hazel, Hailey, Cindy Hsu and Emily yesterday in the hot summer gave away popsicles on the streets of Causeway Bay to promote their new film SUMMER LOVE (LUNE HA LUEN HA LUEN LUEN HA) and attracted many onlookers. However the models left soon and did not create any chaos. The film company also assigned security for their safety.

Carol said that for her first time giving away popsicles on the busy streets, she hoped the pedestrians would be nicer. Was she nervous? She said that she was a little. Was she afraid that she would have the attention stole from her because she dressed so conservatively? She explained that yesterday was an energetic and casual look. She would wait until the premiere or the movie itself to steal attention. Was she worried about young models from the Mainland? She honestly said that she was not because their work specialty was different. Carol said that this was her fourth film. Would she plan to make another picture book? She said that not this year because later school will begin. At the end of the month she also will have another movie to make. For now she has been able to divide her schedule.

Annie G. said that she never expected so many onlookers. She said that earlier she has gave away summer relief items on the streets. Was she afraid of being taken advantage of? She honestly said that at first she was, but yesterday when she saw so many security guards she was at ease. The six of them together should be enough to fight.

Michael Tse Angrily Reprimands Magazine As Despicable

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Michael Tse’s (謝天華) drama, Lives of Omission "潛行狙擊", is currently airing in Hong Kong recently. This caused his popularity to increase rapidly and thus making him a news target of the paparazzi.

Yesterday, a magazine revealed that he and his wife, Tina, got into a dispute over the issue of conceiving babies. The magazine reported that Tina quit smoking, alcohol and night life activities in preparation. However, Michael still repeatedly went clubbing and drank alcohol. Towards this report, Michael angrily criticized it as nonsensical reporting while Tina pointed out that those reports were baseless and a total personal attack.

Michael’s Wife Doesn’t Withstand Any Form of Personal Attacks

An incensed Michael ranted on popular Chinese social microblogging site, Weibo, “It’s really despicable; the paparazzi couldn’t follow up with any interesting leads and came up with their own, nonsensically reporting, stooping to any unscrupulous means to push their magazine sales. My reader friends, please use your shrewd minds and see their evil misconducts clearly. Regards, Michael Tse.”

Tina also ruffled up and said, “Adding in details of their own to the truth is well within my expectations. However, I absolutely cannot withstand any baseless personal attacks and defamation!” Michael accepted a phone interview and said that he has no issues about the press writing about him since this was part and parcel of his job as an artist. However, he drew the line at involving his family members. Michael also thanked his friends very much for supporting him and Tina. He professed that he believed the public’s eyes were sharp enough (to distinguish the truth).

Friends From the Entertainment Circle Leave Supportive Messages

Michael Tse’s good friends, Michael Miu (苗僑偉) and his wife, Jamie Chik (戚美珍), Maggie Cheung Ho-Yee (張可頣), Cherrie Ying (應采兒), Gigi Fu (傅明憲) and others left supportive messages on Weibo for him one after another.

Michael Miu and Jaime Chik: “The Tina we know is definitely a 100% good wife, attentive and thoughtful to every detail. Both of you are extremely compatible. Just disregard them, support you guys!”

Maggie Cheung Ho Yee: “Laughing is getting fitter than the old Michael Tse I used to know, as well as getting more radiant. After the movie premiere, we went to eat supper with the cast and crew. Michael ate cautiously and only ate the light dishes. He also told me that he fell in love with running recently. His lifestyle is too healthy for words!”

Gigi Fu: “Support you! Don’t be angry, just had dinner with you and Tina last Saturday and after eating. You guys immediately went home. Friends know it!”

Moses Chan Holds Onto Wooden Stick To Await Filming

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Moses Chan (陳豪) who has recently been busy filming TVB drama, 4 In Love, was filming in Mongkok last night with Cheung Kwok Keung (張國強) and Lee Yee Man (李綺雯). From the shooting scene, Cheung Kwok Keung (KK) who was in a monk look, went to a chinese biscuit shop to pick and buy some souvenirs. Lee Yee Man who was acting as a shop employee, was responsible for attending to customers. Within a short time, KK’s character bought a huge bag of “battle goods.” Just as KK’s character turned and was preparing to leave, he suddenly saw Moses through the door and immediately ran out of the store to give chase.

When there wasn’t a need to get in position for filming, Moses Chan returned back to within the shop to mingle and chit chat with everyone as well as to enjoy the air-conditioner. In the meantime, while the director was filming a close-up shot of KK, Moses took KK’s long wooden stick and played around with it.

Although it was already dawn at that time, the scene still attracted quite a lot of passers-by who crowded around to watch. When the drama crew were resting in the middle of filming, many of the biscuit shop employees rushed forward to snap a photo with Moses. Moses then acceded to all the requests, clearly implementing a “close to civilians” approach.

Tony Leung And Carina Lau Divorced Secretly Due To Incompatible Differences?

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Yesterday, there were rife rumors on the Internet that Tony Leung (梁朝伟) and Carina Lau (刘嘉玲) have allegedly divorced. According to the rumors, the reason for the spilt was due to Carina being too aggressive in character while Tony was too quiet in contrast, thus resulting in irreconcilable frustrations. What exactly opened the door to their divorce plans had also become the focus of many, thus causing a heated discussion amongst netizens. At the moment, both of their management companies have since denied those rumors.

Tony Leung and Carina Lau to Divorce?

In recent days, the Internet suddenly sprouted rumors of Tony Leung and Carina Lau divorcing. In a definite tone, the rumors claimed that this was due to a large disparity between the couple’s behavior. As it was known to many, Carina’s character was extremely aggressive while Tony was more silent. The gap between the couple’s behavior only grew bigger and the frustrations accumulated over the days and months finally exploded. In consideration of each other’s “face” and the possible impact it may have, it was a secret divorce hence the couple chose not to announce it.

In recent days, Carina Lau has repeatedly been in the news. First, she was rumored to have flown to the United States with Tony to find a surrogate mother. After that, her earlier deleted nude bed scenes from a film were exposed, making it appear as if her bad news kept coming one after another. However, the news of their divorce still seemed too unbelievable. Currently, a spokesman for their management companies denied the rumors of their divorce and said that the news spreading on the web was not true and thus they see no need to respond to it.

After the news broke out, the alleged divorce of Tony Leung and Carina Lau became the concern of many thus incurring heated discussions amongst netizens. Upon hearing about the news first-hand, quite a few people expressed their disbelief and asked whether the rumor was true, one after another.

Many of their fans were working hard to pursue the original source of the rumors but other than discovering that it was spread through “word-of-mouth” via the Internet, they couldn’t find the original bearer of those rumors. Some also hoped that Tony and Carina could step up to clarify the truth.

A certain portion of netizens suspected that rumors of the divorce was not entirely baseless. First, the couple truly had a huge disparity between their personalities but being together for so many years, if there was any contradiction, it should have erupted years ago. Why did it only occur after many years of marriage together? Netizens also reasoned that since the management companies did not wish to disclose their reply on this but instead let the entire matter become vague, it strongly reminded them of Nicholas Tse (谢霆锋) and Cecilia Cheung’s (张柏芝) earlier divorce which was exposed by the people around them. Hence netizens felt that there was a chance of this being true afterall. As to how it will develop in the end and whether there was really such a matter, netizens could only sit on the sidelines and observe the situation.

Rumored for the past 17 years, Leo Ku and assistant Lorraine's 'romance' made public

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments

Leo Ku and his assistant Lorraine have been rumored for 17 years, but their hearts were connected keeping their mouth shut all along. The other night at Leo's 39th birthday party, the couple finally stood still to cut the birthday cake and took pictures in public for the first time with nearly 50 artists there to witness the 'Leo-Lor Love'.

The rumors began in 1994 when Lorraine started working with Leo. The attentive and considerate Lorraine successfully captured Leo's heart. Eventually Leo hired her as his personal assistant. In the last several years, Lorraine was willing to be the woman behind Leo, and although the "Leo-Lor Love" is a known secret within the industry, the couple always kept their distance at public events. In 2008 when Leo won JSG's 'Most Popular Male Singer Award', Leo thanked his 'girlfriend' who was sitting in the audience tearing up: "I want to thank my assistant Lorraine." Their relationship was quite obvious.

Yesterday it was Leo's 39th birthday, his boss Albert Yeung (EEG) spent 6 figures to host a birthday party for him and invited Joey Yung, Twins, Sherman Chung, Vincy Chan, Carlos Ng, Gigi Fu, Cally Kwong and many more. EEG's boss Albert Yeung and Executives Mani Fok and Ng Yue all attended to celebrate with him. To avoid the media's attention, Lorraine and Leo purposely walked into the party separately. Leo dropped her off at the backdoor of the hotel to help her avoid the cameras, while he walked through the main door.

At around 12am, the birthday boy Leo started cutting the birthday cake with the other EEG singers and colleagues. Albert and Ng Yue gave birthday kisses and then suddenly called Lorraine over. Lorraine, who had never taken a photo with Leo in public, quickly dodged to one side, but eventually she was pulled out by Albert. The helpless Lorraine was like a little shy girl standing besides Leo as they take their first 'public photo'. When reporters asked Lorraine to give the birthday boy a kiss, Leo was heartbroken to see his 'girlfriend' getting played like that, then he quickly shook his head: "Cut the cake!" Besides him were Joey and Twins, who were screaming and posing with the V hand gestures behind them.

The playful Joey took the cake and smacked it on Leo's face, and to avoid Leo taking revenge on her, she quickly dashed off to hide behind Albert. Joey had always loved to bicker with Leo, yesterday seeing that it was her good friend's birthday, she played a big joke on him and told all the guests at the party to shout Lorraine's name. She laughed: "They are just so matching! (What's your blessings to them?) Long-live together, always of one mind!" Vincy said they matched too: "If they really are dating, I wish them the best. It's rare that colleagues can become a couple too!"

Leo said frankly that his birthday wish is good health. Asked when he's going to marry Lorraine? He stuttered: "I have no marriage plans, if it happens then it happens. I will tell everyone when it happens. (You need the female party ['lui fong'] to urge you before you do it?) He made a gag: "I haven't seen David Lui Fong in a long time." Asked if he'll be getting married after his concert? The naughty Leo pretended to kick reporters.

Stephen Wong silently waiting to get up top

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments

Stephen Wong has already stepped into his 10th year in TVB. Perhaps it was because his personality is too passive that he still hasn't reached to the first or second line Siu Sang positions. Earlier his rumors got pretty heated up and suddenly he became 'lovesick'. However, he rather not have any news than to have negative news!

Looking smart and bright on the outside, Stephen has been in many TV series, and has left some impression on audience. He is currently accepting series after series in TVB and with a blink of an eye, it's already 10 years. To be successful in showbiz, aside from the hard work, the right time and place, relations with people is also very important. When asked why he still hasn't reached the first or second lead actor position yet and what is he lacking, Stephen said frankly: "I am a Sagittarius, should be a talkative person, but many times to avoid saying the wrong things, I rather not talk at all. Perhaps I have been too passive, silent and don't really know how get along with people." Earlier, Stephan was rumored with Natalie Tong and Coffee Lu. Suddenly becoming lovesick, he said: "Eat too much salty fish, worth the thirst. I got more magazine reports on my love life, many people will think that it's like that when your an artist, just think of it as promotion! But, I rather not have any news than to have negative news!"

In The Life and Times of a Sentinel, Stephen plays Lap Lan Sing Dak (Nalan Xingde), the first Qing Dynasty poet. He had to memorize long dialog, but does not think it's heavy or boring, it really challenges his skills. Any time Stephen has any difficulty in filming, he would think of big brother Kevin Cheng and second brother Kenneth Ma's advice: "Many times for us artists, if we can remember the dialog, then we can't remember the scene and positions. So I learned from my second brother (Kenneth), once I get the script, I would mark all the details down on a notepad. As for my big brother (Kevin), he told me to put in the effort to do the homework, no matter what role it is, must get into character. Many times, you have to hypnotize yourself, don't say you can't do it. A lot of times as an artist, you will go back to the situation beginning of your acting career, but you must tell yourself, I can do it. I won't compare with others."

Twins kicks off their 3650 10th anniversary concert

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments

Metro's TWINS 3650 Concert
kicked off the night before last celebrating Twins 10th anniversary in the industry. The two changed into many different concert costumes, sang and dance. They performed several of their classics from the last 10 years. Although they didn't perform hot dances with their dancers, instead Twins played with water and poured water on the male dancer to attract the audience.

To contribute to the Hong Kong group singers, Twins also performed classics from other groups, such as AT17's The Best is Yet to Come and Grasshopper's Love You Forever. Charlene Choi said with emotionally: "The road for Hong Kong group singers is difficult to walk! There was one day 10 years ago when we joined EEG, they wanted us to be a group, and we were thinking are you kidding?! Did they want our singing career to end before it even starts?" Gillian Chung said: "That time, many groups couldn't get far, but later work suddenly kept coming, it's rare!" The girls performed Liu Ze Chen's Think of You, emphasizing that they will not give up, which is also the reason why Twins still exists today.

Kenny Kwan and Steven Cheung from the group BOY'Z were Twins' guests that night. BOY'Z and Twins performed Never Change Bad Habits (死性不改). The two thanked Twins for the support they gave them in the past 10 years. Kenny said: "I am very happy to see you all, very grateful that Twins gave us this opportunity to perform here." Steven said: "We and Twins have experienced several years of fierce battles, very happy that they gave us this opportunity!" Near the end of the concert, Twins performed Kite and Wind, Ah Sa was touched by the fans who sang along with them, she said with teary eyes: "I hope in the next countless 10 years, will you all still be with us?"

After the show, Ah Sa claimed they had stage fright and made mistakes in their performance. She said: "It is definitely our problem, we are 'stage fright' girls because we were nervous, and also we had to dance as soon as we appeared on stage." As for the quiet singing voice, was it the speakers' problem? Ah Gil said: "It wasn't a problem for me, but when I got to the catwalk stage, I couldn't hear anything. We already tried our best!"

Kenny said frankly that he was very nervous on stage, it felt like BOY'Z went back to the old days, Steven said: "Before we had immature thoughts, we didn't know what we were doing on stage, but this time we really enjoyed the stage and the sense of satisfaction is hard to describe. I hope there will be more opportunities, the best would be we get our own concert." Asked if they'll react to their company? Kenny said: "Take it step by step, just like our new song Ready To Go. At first when EEG heard the song, they felt it's different from the past, and finally supported us to release the single. It was only when there was pretty good response that EEG decided to shoot a MV. Later, EEG saw my outline for the MV and then said why not we release an album too. Our new album is estimated to release in October." Cally Kwong, Joey Yung and her mother, C All Star, Sa Ba (Ah Sa's father) and many more supported Twins' concert.

Tavia Yeung Votes For Herself In Fight For TV Queen

Thursday, August 18, 2011 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Tavia Yeung (杨怡) and Cilla Kung (乐瞳) attended an event on August 14th for a a promotional event for Wonderful Worlds of Whampoa "知识第一 黄埔挑战赛". At that event, Tavia also sang a song Beautiful for Life "终身美丽".

After that event, Tavia expressed that she was actually afraid of singing. There was once when she was singing, the music suddenly died and thus cast a shadow of fear in her life. Earlier there were reports that TVB had the intention to heavily promote Tavia, Myolie Wu (胡杏儿), Fala Chen (陈法拉) and Linda Chung (钟嘉欣) in the competition for the title of TV Queen at the Anniversary Awards.

In reply to this, Tavia responded, “Every year, when it comes to this time of the year, the media will discuss this subject without fail. This year, the topic about all of us snatching for the award in our capacity as TVB’s “biological” daughters was very good. Afterall, every one of us are close to each other and are like one big family behind closed doors. The four of us are all one of TVB’s. Furthermore, some of us are good friends with each other. Regardless of who wins the award, the rest of us will still be happy for her. But of course I will submit a vote for myself. Although I have more dramas which broadcasted this year, I don’t feel that I have a bigger chance of winning. Instead, I worry that it would make viewers confused instead.”

Joel Chan (陈山聪) and Florinda Ho (何超云) publicly disclosed their romance, making it a hot topic in the city, their friends from the entertainment circle also sent their blessings one after another. When asked about this, Tavia smiled and said, “Hope Joel can take care of me and think of me when there’s good stuff and will show me around when I’m in Macau, treating me to a meal would be good enough for me but giving me more casino chips would also be great too lor!” (Will you worry that Joel would thus drift away from friends?) “No, not afraid that Joel would be transformed from a ‘sparrow into a phoenix’ (through association with the rich). I believe that love and friendship are two different matters so they will not affect each other. Joel knows how to control them well. As a friend, I will only support him. It’s inconvenient for me to give too much comments.”

In other news, Christine Ng (伍咏薇) expressed her take on the Joel and Florinda romance, “I treat Joel as my younger brother and the couple are compatible in terms of looks. The guy (Joel) is handsome and the girl (Florinda) is pretty, of course I’m happy for him.” (Florinda’s privileged background may seem too stressful for Joel?) “Let them develop naturally on their own lor!”

Louis Yuen (阮兆祥) also responded, “Then isn’t it good now! I will feel happy for anyone who dates. This industry is very tough and very stressful, meeting someone you love, it should be encouraged and supported. I hope that their life will be full of happiness lahs!”

Sweet-Tongued Bosco Wong Loves Playing Pranks On Kate Tsui

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Not only is Kate Tsui’s (徐子珊) appearance extremely cool, actually her personality is also very much like a guy. It was revealed that Kate loves to wear slippers to the filming set, highly blending into the “commoner” world! However, this instead attracted the “favour” of Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), ganging up with a few macho men to play around with Kate from time to time. Just hearing the overall presence makes Bosco a clear winner! Kate who came from a Miss Hong Kong background, possessed both brains and beauty. However when faced with such a strong presence, Kate was defenseless and had no choice but to be their “Miss Congeniality Fun Time” and get fooled around by them. It was seriously quite tragic!

Not Awkward Acting As A Couple In Intimate Scenes

B= Bosco Wong; K= Kate Tsui

B: My first time filming with you should be the 2005 Early Republic drama, The Price of Greed "千謊百計" At that time, when I saw you, you looked like a poor thing! The Price of Greed was already filming around the clock, filming in the day and in the night. Yet, you still had to start filming on Eye In The Sky "跟蹤"! I remembered that your role in The Price of Greed was very hard to act. You had to break down everyday, add in a bit of craziness and had shouting dialogues to perform. However, at that time, you couldn’t shout it out so I purposely went near you and made myself a nuisance by asking you whether you knew that you were hindering me from wrapping up work on filming. I asked you to hurry up but actually you know, I was trying to help you lehs!

K: Wahs, thank you very much lor! Such a tiring and difficult role to play, having a good counterpart makes a lot of difference. Besides helping me out everyday in that drama, you also taught me about acting stuff outside of it too.

B: Afterall, I have acted for quite a few years so sometimes when one feels like he/she doesn’t know how to handle (a role) and doesn’t dare to ask and consult, he/she has to learn through many years of experience.

K: Whatever it is, you are still counted as my senior lor! After that, I didn’t collaborate with you for a long time. But we did go to TVB’s Annual Dinner together and the Sales Presentation to perform some dancing.

B: That period of time was the worst point of our lives because we kept filming and filming until it got so tough that I felt tired all the time. Besides that, we didn’t have time to rehearse our performance properly, rehearsed two times and that’s it, we had to perform on stage already. Actually I was very impatient back then, thinking in my heart so what exactly do you all want me to do? After that, things gradually got a little better. Just wanted to share with you, was wondering whether you felt that it was a great contrast to the old ‘me’ back then who would voice out immediately if I had many grievances or unhappiness?

K: I discovered that everyone would behave that way when we are young.

B: Every one of us has a spark of fire in their hearts mahs! However, that fire will eventually be extinguished in the later parts of life.

K: Actually I think that fire is still in us but we placed it in other areas and turned into knowing how to control it well. I remembered collaborating with you for Don Juan DeMercado "情人眼裏高一D", acting as someone who had romantic liaisons with you. We had plenty of fun on set, playing around with Kitty Yuen (阮小儀) and Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) and that genre was also relaxing. Recently, we were paired up again for Lives of Omission "潛行狙擊", acting as lovers. Do you feel that I had any change (as compared to the past)?

B: I feel that we share some similarities in terms of personalities.

K: Normally, people wouldn’t like anyone who is like him/her (referring to clashing of personalities). On my first day of filming, I joined Lives of Omission late, about a month later than you and because I immediately had to rush filming for another set of drama. Do you remember me asking you why must you especially find me (to film Lives of Omission with you) as well as filming two series back-to-back was tough. I might be very unhappy and didn’t want to drag you down with me. I was afraid that when my character appeared, the effect wouldn’t be as good.

B: I thought I already told you that no one could handle this role of “Paris” except you?

K: It seems like you are only thinking too highly of me, in the spur of a moment!

The Role Isn’t Up To Bosco To Choose

B: For your “Paris” role in Lives of Omission, others who are on the similar “grade” as you (Bosco likely meant first line female artistes in TVB), it wasn’t suitable to put them in that role. I did think about it. Tavia Yeung (楊怡) wasn’t suitable. Apart from the inner personality, this character matched your outer appearance extremely well. You aren’t also exactly one who has a humble jaded girl image but more like someone with a cool personality. You are okay with wearing sexy outfits and revealing a little and that was one of the requirements of this role. Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) wasn’t really suitable. Fala Chen (陳法拉) was also suitable for this role but it was inappropriate since she was already casted in Lives of Omission. Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) didn’t suit this role either.

K: After we completed filming for Lives of Omission, do you still think I was suitable for this role?

B: Then did you remember that before filming began, I already told you that my character in Lives of Omission will be like a beast to you?

K: At that time you said it very agitatedly.

B: I said my character in Lives of Omission will pull your hair and bite you, not what normal couples would do like doting, kissing and hugging.

K: At that time, I was startled and asked you whether you were kidding me mahs. Then when we picked up the script; you also knew about it right? I asked the executive producer of Lives of Omission why did they specially find me to act this role.

B: Aiyahs, no such thing that you couldn’t handle this role lahs. I saw you picking it up really quickly after joining the team.

K: Well, a good partner is also very important. One must be very familiar with each other first since episode 2 or 3, we were already filming of intimate scenes.

*Warning: Spoilers of “Lives of Omission” ahead*

B: You were thinking that diving straight into the intimate scene at a deserted forest area would frighten the audiences so before that, you requested for a kiss to lead into the scene first!

K: And also the two scenes in Yuan Long where we filmed until we were sweating buckets behind our back!

B: Early in the morning at 9 AM, we filmed a scene of me getting hacked and immediately running off to the big patch of grass. You are a girl and you already sweated like mad and we still had to perform a kissing scene at the top of the mountain. Fortunately, I’m very familiar with you and see you as a guy.

K: At least it wasn’t embarrassing and we don’t need much adjustment to each other. Luckily I’m extremely familiar with someone’s girlfriend! ” At this time, Bosco immediately held up the restaurant’s menu and pretended to take a look while Kate quickly ducked. “Wahs, that was such a close call! Haha! At least before that, I know for sure that that someone won’t be angry.” (Did you report this case to his girlfriend first?) “I felt that it wasn’t necessary to do so as she will understand that we were only working.”

B: I didn’t hit you with the menu, only trying to play a prank on you mahs, so scared for what.

Wearing Slippers To Work On Set For A Reason

K: From the very first day that I joined the team, you guys made me feel so at home!

B: It wasn’t only me (who made you feel at home) but also Michael Tse (謝天華) and the fun-loving director. All of us targeted you to be the subject of our jokes. But everyone was only fooling around on set and won’t actually go rough on you. Maybe because your personality is like a guy and not like a girl. With me, you and Michael, we will sure die! (Bosco stated in a joking manner).

K: You guys were not quiet at all. Even when talking, you guys were so loud.

B: You still dare to say we were noisy when you talked the most amongst us.

K: You guys make disturbing me your daily must-do. Furthermore, I had to don tight-fitting tops, mini skirts and high heels for filming.

B: You were transformed into a sexy OL (Office Lady) lehs. If we don’t prank you, who else should we prank? We film for many hours every day lehs!

K: I thus became the source of entertainment for everyone and was “Miss Congeniality Fun Time,” responsible for making people feel happy.

B: Even when the director “played you to death”, you were so frightened.

K: Facing against ten men was super embarrassing! I’m actually quite familiar with Michael myself. You guys asked me to work in the center all day long but placed yourself on both sides. It was scary; I didn’t know what to do. I was a very poor thing lehs for over two months!

B: Your image when returning to work was even more manly than guys, wearing slippers on set. Sometimes I don’t understand and wonder what kind of girl are you, really.

K: What, Faye Wong (王菲) also wears slippers too!

B: Yeah but the way you walk with those slippers is different from how others walk in them mahs!

K: Then that means you are trying to say that I have no poise and elegance lor. I do wear jeans to work!

B: But the way you walked in and out of the studio is like a guy.

K: And you always say that the way I speak is rough.

B: Maybe I’m more image conscious lahs, I always look in the mirror and check my outfit before heading out. As for you, you always wear T-shirts, jeans and slippers!

K: But I’m a really casual person. Do you know why I wear slippers to work? It’s because when filming I have to be in high heels. If I wear bowling or sports shoes to work, there will be a sock imprint on my leg which can be seen clearly in high heels. I have my own difficulties for this role!

B: And you still wanted the high heels to be 4, 5 or 6 inches high!

K: Well, you are tall mahs! When I knew my acting partner would be you, I especially went to buy them to match your height lehs! I can’t help but admit that I’m like a guy. I already tried my best to behave like a girl!

B: Well, it’s also a good thing that your personality is like that, because then you can be a girl sometimes and a guy sometimes and eat as many times as you want lor!

K: Wahs! Thank you very much ah!

B: Usually if there aren’t any filming together, we rarely contact each other. I think it’s a convenience sickness. For me, I don’t meet with a lot of friends everyday. It’s usually with the same group of people but we don’t work together. After shooting a series, the friendship remains but we don’t see each other everyday. Michael and I don’t meet once a week for a meal together. Once we bump into each other, we will horse around happily with each other.

Acting Is An Accumulation Of Life Experiences

K: You and me, we both came from a public housing background to shooting of series and releasing of albums. Which do you feel particularly interested in?

B: If I must only choose one of the two, I would prefer acting. Sometimes, when I’m thinking, I would feel that it (acting) doesn’t allow you to have your own personality. At the same time, I feel that it’s an enjoyment. Everyday, friends ask me why do I look so unhappy recently but I’m not unhappy, I’m just throwing myself into the character.”

K: Filming together with you makes me happy. Even our hairstylist say that you have the sweetest tongue. I feel that I’m not as good as you in this aspect because I really do not know how to please people.

B: I don’t know if this trait of mine is considered a good thing. When filming, yes, it’s a good thing because if everyone’s happy, the filming atmosphere is also good. I will choose to say the good things and avoid saying bad things. My personal policy is that you don’t have the obligation to be angered by me unless you are under my payroll or you did something very wrong.

K: You have been in the Hong Kong entertainment circle for so long; have you ever experienced anything that made you feel despondent?

B: None, nothing. Even if I’m unhappy, it will pass over quite quickly. Fortunately for me, the moment I work, I can dump all my troubles to the back of my head, focus and stop myself from thinking of other matters.

K: Yes, me too. Unhappy feelings will not continue to last for long and when I feel happy, I will even be in my own world and forget about it. I will make use of my role to vent my frustrations if the script calls for it, laughing and shouting can act as a form of release too. I do enjoy the few moments of being sucked into my character’s own world.

B: Filming does help in some ways. I have experienced the pressure that I used to have back in my schooling days. Looking in the mirror and smiling will make me feel like smiling non-stop. Also, I have read some newspaper article before and they said that exercise can make one forget his unhappiness. In that case, I will try to dance a little, film a little and biking for a while.

K: We have acted in quite a lot of TVB dramas. Do you have any past drama series (with you starring in it) that you would rather not watch? Hahahaha! As for me, I do not dare to say. When I first watched myself on television, I felt so embarrassed! I don’t know why!”

B: Acting skills are accumulated through life experiences. The more someone browses through the past shows he acted in, the more he will feel why did he acted this way in the past. It’s not a pretty sight.

K: Will you be releasing an album this year?

B: There are plans but not sure whether the record will be released in the end because basically I haven’t stopped any filming work yet.

K: As an actor, it is inevitable to have some mouth-to-mouth (kissing) scene. Since you already have a girlfriend in the entertainment circle, will it cause any obstacle?

B: All along, I have nothing going on (with my other female co-stars). Once I film, I just focus and act as it comes. It’s better not to have any intention on me. Actually I do enjoy collaborating with different people because it will give me inspirations and improve my acting skills.”

K: Then what inspirations have I given you?

B: You give me inspiration on how to play pranks on you lor. You are not an easy victim, in the middle of it all you still have retaliations lehs!

Jacky Cheung discusses life and death with his daughters

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Having just turned 50, God of Songs Jacky Cheung just crossed an important age milestone in his life. Well aware of the limitations of human life, Jacky does not mind discussing his age and is not afraid of growing old. It’s no surprise then, that Jacky doesn’t feel that talking to his 11 year old and 6 year old daughters about death is taboo: “It’s better to let them understand and accept reality early on – some day, I will eventually leave them, so they need to learn to be independent and take care of themselves.” Jacky’s attitude is very open and candid, calmly confronting the task of teaching his daughters about the realities of life, including the difficult subject of coping with death. However, his calm demeanor seems to have the opposite effect on his youngest daughter Zia (張瑤萱), as she starts to cry upon hearing her Dad talk about leaving them.

Keeps himself healthy for the sake of his daughters

“I’m actually very much looking forward to old age, as I’m curious to know how I will be like when I grow old!” Jacky Cheung turned 50 back on July 10th – despite this year’s birthday being a ‘half century’ milestone in his life, Jacky did not feel the need to celebrate in any special manner and also did not feel any sadness towards growing old: “There’s no need to face old age with a heavy heart, as each milestone has its own distinctness and meaning – some people may feel very old at 80, while others may feel very active.” Jacky bluntly admits that he doesn’t dare to say that he is perfectly healthy and active, but he strives to be as healthy as possible for the sake of his daughters: “I try my best to maintain good health so that I can be with my daughters longer.”

World Tour concert will extend through next year; will most likely break 100 show record for the third time

For his birthday, Jacky’s daughter gave him a card that she personally made herself – on the card, she wrote: “Love you, love you, love you the most”. Such sweet words from a daughter who obviously adores him, however Jacky plays down the moment: “Whether that is truly the case or not, it really doesn’t matter.” Nevertheless, it is obvious that for this benevolent father, the joy of having his daughters is already enough to make him happy.

Currently in the middle of a World Tour concert, Jacky specially requested from his management company to give him 1 month off for summer vacation so that he could be with his daughters. During his time off, he accompanied his daughters on a trip to the U.S. for vacation, as his eldest daughter Zoe (張瑤華) was interested in taking summer classes there; originally, she was excited about taking classes related to criminal investigation – smiling, Jacky ‘complained’: “Who knew that she would end up losing interest in it?”

Prior to his birthday on July 10th, Jacky had already completed 60 shows of his World Tour concert and it is estimated that he will continue to perform up until his birthday next year – at this rate, he will very likely exceed 100 consecutive shows for the 3rd time in his career, and also break his previous record of 105 shows [for his 2007 “The Year of Jacky Cheung” World Tour]. However, Jacky reveals that his intention is not to break records: “Actually, those numbers have no meaning for me. My only wish is to allow more people to experience a new and fresh performance this time around.” He does admit that when he broke records the first time, he did have a ‘that’s awesome!’ feeling, but the second time, he started to feel that ‘breaking records’ is superficial and no longer felt excited about the moment.

After his 2007 World Tour, Jacky initially thought that it was a good time to stop and perhaps retire: “But after 4 years, I discovered that I still had the energy and strength physically to continue performing – since I still had the ability, I figured I’d go ahead and do it.”

Jacky’s ½ Century Tour will resume again on 8/18 in Taiwan – he will perform for 4 days straight at the Taipei Coliseum. No matter how challenging the singing or dance moves may be, Jacky Cheung is ready to show his Taiwan fans that at 50 years old, he still has the charm and charisma to put on an awesome show!

The Hong Kong actor could not accompany his son because he is currently filming his latest drama in China

Little Lucas Tse has finally started school.

It was said that the four-year-old is now in school and has his cousin as classmate. His mother, Cecilia Cheung had said earlier that she was going to let Lucas focus on his education. His aunt and Cecilia's elder sister Dai Bi-Zhi would send the children to school daily.

Two days ago, Bi-Zhi was spotted sending Lucas and her daughter to school sometime around noon. She was driving and holding a camera phone, causing speculations that she was providing an update to Cecilia.

Later that afternoon, Lucas was spotted exiting the school compound, in a chef hat, T-shirt, camouflage pants and slippers. He appeared to have settled into school nicely and was seen smiling happily.

His father, Nicholas Tse, had reportedly wanted to take leave from filming duties in China to accompany Lucas to school. However, he was unable to leave until the end of October, because the production crew was rushing to wrap up filming.

In a related report, Nicholas, who reportedly suffered an asthma attack on the set of his latest drama The Next Miracle, is now showing improvement after a friend introduced him to a renowned acupuncturist in Beijing.

Michelle Ye & Crystal Wang's limelight loses color to Sean Lau

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments

Since Louis Koo is suffering from leg injuries, the Overheard 2 film premiere was left to be supported by Sean Lau, Daniel Wu, Crystal Wang and Michelle Ye. Film premieres had always been a beauty battle between the female artists. The night of the premiere, Michelle and Crystal had on respectively a girdle transparent dress and a deep V evening dress. Unfortunately the 'attention' on the two were limited, and only relied on their slight career lines for a feast to the eyes.

However, whatever the two girls tried to put forth, they were still unable to compare with Amy Kwok's knitted shirt that she carefully prepared for her husband Sean. Because the AC was on too high, Sean's hands were ice-cold and had a 'sticking out' figure (nipples seen under his shirt). When reporters praised his sticking out figure was very sexy. Sean embarrassingly pretended to do Crystal's spoiled voice asking for help. He said in Mandarin, "You all are so naughty!"

Sean and Amy have been married for several years and had always been a loving couple. Earlier Amy said her husband strictly prohibited her to look sexy. Every time she leaves the door, she would first have to have Sean's 'approval'. Reporters teased if he'll be cautious of what he chooses for his wife to wear to the Venice Film Festival? Sean made a slick response: "When was I that type of person?! (Do you have confidence to become the Film King?) If have to win, it should be director Johnny To first. I am just going to accompany him."

As for Louis' injury, Sean and Crystal both sent their blessings to him. Crystal laughed: "The day after Louis' got injured, I attended an event in Guangzhou with him. I saw him using crutches and thought some well known brand custom made that for him. Later, I saw he couldn't even stand straight while taking photos, that's when I realized he does have a serious injury. Then I ran over to help him, he said it hurts a lot. I don't understand why he's in so much pain, but he was expressionless." Michelle added a joke to tease Louis: "He's fat, old and has grey hair, now he's crippled too!"

Nicholas Tse & Cecilia Cheung in Beijing, but are not meeting up

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments

In the recent month, Nic remained in Beijing and focused on the shooting of new TV series The Next Magic. Even if his asthma started up again, he still had to endure though it and didn't event get the chance to see his boys back in HK. As for Cecilia she was invited by PRC TV comedian to Beijing for an opening ceremony and especially took 2 days off for the trip to Beijing. In other words, Nic-Cecilia are both in Beijing, but did not meet up. They already have their own separate lives and work. Once a loving couple, but today they aren't even seeing each other, it's hard not to sigh.

Yesterday Nic and his partner Dicky Cheung were at the press conference in Beijing, where Nic got rid of his previous look and instead appeared in a suit and tie with a pair of glasses and new hairstyle. During the event, Nic revealed a smile, but when reporters asked if he and Cecilia are going to meet since they are both in Beijing? He refused to respond and quickly walked off, not allowing reporters to ask further. He was unwilling to talk about anything related to Cecilia.

Nid did not talk about his marriage at all, but instead happily talked about his role in the series. He plays a young man who suffers from clinical depression. Since Nic had never been someone who speaks a lot, expressed that the role was not hard for him. On the contrary, it would be more of a challenge if he were to play a speaker.

Dicky plays Nic's good brother in the series. This time, Dicky's role is different from the past where he usually had comical roles. The two have collaborated three times and plus Deborah Lai is Dicky's god-mother, so he had already treated Nic like a younger brother long ago. However, when asked about Nic and Cecilia's marriage crisis, he was unwilling to comment because they are both his friends. He hopes they will still be friends even after break up.
