Average TV rating of 3 points, 'Mr. Asia 2011' was no help to ATV

ATV held the Mr. Asia Contest 2011 : Search for the Superman of Asia last night. According to the data collected by CSM, the average rating was 3 points with about 192,000 viewers. The peak rating was 4 points (~260,000 viewers).

In 2005, ATV received an average of 4 points for the Mr. Asia Contest 2005. After 5 years, the show makes a comeback this year. Although there were 'Pirated Kai Ko' Nate Chiu and a Korean hottie, the ratings were still no help. In the recent year, ATV's large-scale variety shows have lacked the double digits in its rating. Last year's rating for Miss Asia was also 3 points. Compared to TVB's Mr. Hong Kong 2011 held earlier this year in July, averaged at 20 points, peaking 21 points.
