The Giddens Ko directed Taiwan film YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE after 10 days in release in Taiwan broke NT$200 million. The film reached Hong Kong two days ago and opened high on a non holiday with HK$1.39 million, defeating the 530,000 LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (DUET MING GUM) and foreign films. Cinemas saw YOU's strong momentum and rapidly added shows over the weekend.MY occupied 50.6% of the Hong Kong total single day box office two days ago. At the same time it also defeated its "compatriot" and Taiwan film box office record holder, Wei Te-Sheng's CAPE NO. 7's Hong Kong opening box office of 328,175. The To Kei Fung directed LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE actually already made 1.17 million including advanced screening.
