Lydia Tong is indignant: disagrees with the criticisms of certain artists

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Lydia Tong’s “Bonsai Cat” posting from a couple days ago angered both artists in the entertainment industry as well as netizens alike. Even though she has since deleted the offensive posting and has indicated that she is in the process of “reflecting” on the situation, many feel that she is not sincere and is still very much indignant about what happened. After a few days of self-reflection and reviewing Weibo postings, yesterday Lydia posted a message saying that she has learned to look at the situation from other people’s perspectives and finally understands where she went wrong. However she is still “reflecting” on the situation and wants to completely comprehend it before truly apologizing because she is still indignant about the comments and criticisms of certain artists. She also indicated that if so many people did not ‘jump on the bandwagon’ to criticize her, she may have ‘comprehended’ the situation earlier – whatever the case, she recognizes that people just want her to be less willful and selfish.

When the situation occurred several days ago, renown fashion designer Dorian Ho – a good friend of Lydia’s mother Isabella Kou – had also strongly reprimanded Lydia via Weibo. Yesterday, while attending an event, he was asked about the situation and said that he truly feels that Lydia’s mother Isabella should not have intervened in the situation. Dorian said: “I feel that as Lydia’s mother, it would have been better for Isabella not to have said anything. When the situation occurred and she started defending her daughter, it caused even more anger and criticism from netizens and artists.”

Dorian indicated that by Isabella responding that Lydia’s posting (the picture and comments) was merely a “small matter”, it gave people the impression that she was trying to protect her daughter and doesn’t know how to “teach” her daughter. Dorian added: “Lydia should have taken responsibility for her own actions and faced the criticisms herself instead of having her mother come out and respond for her.” Dorian indicated that he is good friends with Isabella and believes that she is a very understanding person, so she should not take offense to his comments: “A lot of people support my stance and feel that I am helping Isabella teach her daughter.”

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Recently many young models are taking advantage of the Spring weather to show their chest, every one of them had a "career line". Even Theresa Fu who always had a pure image began to pick up on the trend. Yesterday while rehearsing for the dance to her new song, she often used both of her hands to cover her "career line" that she's not familiar with. She exposed that recently because of her hard efforts at dance rehearsal, she increased her cup size. In addition, to do well on her dance routine, she would watch category III movies to learn how do sexy expressions.

Reporters teased that her "career line" is quite amazing? She modestly said that the new generation models have better ones than her, she laughed: "I am a big girl now, we all know that I debuted when I was 17 years old. Of course I'm not the same now!" This year the 26 year old Theresa is not a little girl anymore, so she's trying to change her image into a sexy one, fans are very supportive of her. She said that dancing while wearing high heels made her foot swell up and the bizarre thing was that she danced so much even her cup size increased. She embarrassingly said: "I am old now, my body figure has changed. (What is your current cup size now?) Just a little cup size increase, still normal. I'm not a G or E cup."

Theresa happily expressed that her company spent HK$400,000 to invite the concert dance popular of Korean singers Rain and Wonder Girls to teach her the dance routine. The new dance required her to twist her waist and pose around her male dancers, Theresa said that her instructor is strict as he said her expression wasn't sexy enough. The dance instructor recommended that she watch some category III movies to learn how to do those sexy expressions. She said: "Teacher gave me a few movies to watch and hope that I can learn the expressions and not appear so cute." She even asked her instructor to recommend her some sites where she can watch the category III movies, doing all her homework.

In the past, Theresa has often went off tune when she performed on "JSG", asked if she's afraid it will happen again when she performs her new song? She said: "I have to accept criticisms, I will work even harder in practicing my songs and dance, won't disappoint audience."

Yesterday Kevin Cheng was shooting for the outdoor scenes of TVB series "Anger on the Street" and attracted many people to surround the location, it was quite a lively atmosphere. Angry Netizens makes a "Bonsai Lydia"; Lydia Tong still doesn't know wrong

Friday, May 28, 2010 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Lydia Tong's recent upload of a "Bonsai Cat" led to many people and artists hating her, saying that she doesn't care and doesn't know that she's wrong. Although the last two days she's been apologizing, there are still people who believe that she didn't mean it and that she still doesn't know she is wrong. Yesterday Lydia quoted a famous phrase from the bible: "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone" in response to her haters. Looks like she's still trying to challenge the public and feels that people aren't qualified to criticize her. Many responded to her comment: "Don't abuse the bible."

Also, some angry Netizens photoshopped her photo into the baby bottle making her the new "Bonsai Lydia" as a way to silently protest. Joyce Tang responded: "That's your retribution!"

After the "Bonsai Cat" incident, although Lydia has learned a lesson and got a lecture from her mother (Isabella Kau), she strongly stressed that she never had intentions of animal cruelty. She wrote on her Weibo: "Can never please everyone, but no regrets to the conscience."

"Transsexual Miss HK": Singtao surveys 50 people, 28% think Anne Heung looks like one

Posted by Admin 0 comments
The rumors online just frightens you to death! Following the rumors of "Simon Yam sudden death due to excessive alcohol", "Miriam Yeung miscarriage" and other shocking rumors, recently there has been an exposure of a "transgender Miss Hong Kong within the last 12 years, the transgender is one of the top three." Perhaps the rumors of Miss HK doing plastic surgery wasn't strong enough, so a discovery of a transsexual Miss HK is more exciting! Many Netizens have common sense and believe the possibility is very low, but they still didn't forget to investigate further to find out it's a fact that many Miss HKs look quite manly. In Netizens eyes, these 'girls' appear to have some mustache roots?

In a poll by Singtao, participants were asked which Miss HK they thought might be a transsexual.

Results:

Anne Heung: 28%
(1998 Miss Hong Kong)

Hoyan Mok: 20%
(1993 Miss Hong Kong)

Queenie Chu: 16%
(2004 First Runner Up)

Kayi Cheung: 8%
(2007 Miss Hong Kong)

Kate Tsui: 6%
(2004 Miss Hong Kong)
Others: 22&

Singtao interviewed 50 people on their views. 84% of them did not believe in the transsexual rumors. Some of the comments are:

Miss Man: "A transsexual Miss HK, that terrifying? No evidence, Netizens can say anything they want. Is it just a big Gag?"

Miss Leung: "Queenie Chu has a mouth like a man. The figure of her mouth seems too defined, looks fake."

Miss Mak: "I don't believe there is a transsexual Miss HK, that is just way too exaggerated. At most is probably just plastic surgery, but one Miss HK really does have a mouth like a man, Anne Heung!"

One person said: "Kate Tsui cut her hair short for her role in "On the First Beat" and was acting like a tomboy. Looking at her more closely, I think she does look somewhat like a man."

Raymond Lam talks about Tavia Yeung not Linda Chung

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Raymond Lam, Ella Koon, Vincy Chan and Ken Hung were recording for "JSG" the night before. Raymond's "We Are Fine" was the winning song of the night. Besides performing the winning song, he also performed the theme song to his current series "Until You Can't Find Me", clearly promoting for his concert in July.

Raymond said: "I hope my new album will release before the concert. I already personally have a lot of love songs, so there should be 1 fast song. Next month I'm going to start my hardcore training for the concert. (Will show muscles at the concert?) Of course, after all I am a guy. However, before the hardcore training, I will take some time to relax, just eat whatever I want. (Will you give a free ticket to rumored girlfriend Linda Chung?) I will give out tickets to colleagues. But we should be talking about my partner in the new series, next time when I have a new series with Linda then can talk about her."

Ella Koon's new song "Coral Island" has been quite a hit, she felt very satisfied: "I'm so happy, thanks to all the DJs who aired my song. One time when I was at home showering, I heard my song on the radio, I immediately got emotional and cried because before no matter how much effort I put into my songs, not even 1 of them were played!" Ella also said: "I truly really like music, seeing the support I have from everyone, I feel touched." She said that the public had always focused on her acting and movies, neglecting her music talent.

Huang Xiao Ming and Angelababy’s 48 Hour Rendezvous

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Since August 2009, Huang Xiao Ming has been romantically linked with model, Angelababy. The pair never admitted their relationship publicly. On May 20th, while filming The Orphan of Chao "赵氏孤儿", Xiao Ming secretly met with Angelababy in Hong Kong. The next day, Angelababy arrived in Beijing on a business trip and spent the night with Xiao Ming.

Lingering in the Chaoyang District in Beijing for forty-eight hours, Xiao Ming had to appear in Wuhan on May 22th for an endorsement deal. Immediately after the event, Xiao Ming flew back to Beijing to see Iron Man 2 with Angelababy. A reporter spotted Angelababy and Xiao Ming (who was wearing a white mask) at the movie theater. Despite running into the media, Angelababy smiled calmly.

Xiao Ming was taken aback when he saw the reporter. Perhaps he did not want to be officially linked to one girlfriend and give up other female “friends;” Xiao Ming said to the reporter, “Can I buy them [referring to the photos]? You can set a price and I will buy them!”

Mingpao exclusive: Patrick Tang's vortex of fate

Posted by Admin 0 comments
[Mingpao exclusive] All this time, Patrick Tang's luck has always been run-of-the-mill, or barely there yet. When his acting jobs would just start changing for the better, unlucky events would happen to him; whenever his love relationships started to look up, they would break up. If it was the old Patrick, he would have been devastated. However, the new Patrick has learned to face his problems from the easiest angle, and to be a person that never gives up.

Never gave up singing

"A couple years ago, I was already acting, but also proved gifted in singing and had a couple hit songs. Just when everyone thought I could only keep getting better and sing more likeable songs, fate caused me to sink down to the murky depths.

As a result, when I returned, I returned as an actor and singing became a secondary vocation. These past couple years, some say my work has come full circle.

Acting is my job, and it includes singing, acting in dramas, movies, and singing and dancing on stage. When I first entered showbiz, I started as a children's program host and participated in dramas. Afterwards I had a couple hits when I released my album, so everyone thought I was a singer. Lately audiences have been seeing me on TV, so everyone thinks I'm an actor and host. Actually, while I have been acting in dramas and hosting TV programs at the same time, I have never given up on singing."

Lives off acting gigs and hosting

"Has my career come full circle? Ha, I guess you could say that! I need to survive, and I need a continuous stream of jobs, so I can't just depend on singing alone! In this day and age, it's hard for someone to survive based solely on singing, so to live, I need to have other lines of work as well. Singing, acting, hosting... I would choose singing out of the three, and then acting. I'm not a naturally talented singer, and many singing techniques I've come by through hard work and practice, so I won't give up easily. As for hosting, there's a lot of pressure, especially live broadcasts, because if you think just a beat too slow you're allowing slip-ups to happen.

I also hope to spend more time on my singing career, but it's still uncertain whether I can achieve my goal or not. Like this new album I'm promoting this time round, I should be busy with promotions, but I'm occupied with acting for my new drama. There are a lot of things I can't control, I can only hope for a couple hit songs off this new CD to enhance my singer image!"

Adapting to change

His new album "Link 2 Pat's Trick" was supposed to have been released last summer, but it was pushed back further and further, and will finally be released amidst the cold war between the big four record companies.

Like the first time, Patrick is busy with filming for his new drama, so he doesn't have much time to promote his new CD. However, his situation is more dire this time as there are royalty disputes thrown in the mix, so he doesn't even have the chance to promote his album in his hometown.

Originally scheduled for release last summer, his album was delayed. Although the release during this time won't be able to get promoted on TVB, he can't even get on Jade Solid Gold; however, he's not too downed by the fact. "Everything is determined by fate, if my album is to be a success, then it will be, no matter when it's released. Right now I'm taking one day at a time, and since I can't use TVB for promotions then I'll just have to find another way! I know that as one of UMG's singers, and one of TVB's artists, I'm in an awkward position, so I hope that the situation will be resolved soon. But it's not under my control, so I can only concentrate on the work at hand."

Lacking a platform for promotion

"I need to live in the moment, I don't want to worry about too much, and I'm comforted by the fact that results are seen after something happens. In the past I would worry too much and think of the negatives, now, I won't think about it and will let things be! You asked if I was worried about the impact on my album? I do worry, but what help will worrying bring? None at all, so I won't think about it. Who knows, maybe this album will have good results, maybe it won't have any, so what? My life doesn't consist of just the showbiz. The cover of the album, all the MVs for the songs are prepared by my friend's design company, so I have a say in the process and production as well. I will keep designing. I don't have any shares in my friend's company, but if I have time in the future, I will help my friend improve on his company's business, and try to help other singers create their album designs as well."

Won't forget Stephen Chan's grace

In 2006, Patrick Tang didn't run into any people that could help him along, and couldn't get his compensation for his Mainland dramas, leading him to fall into a bad financial situation. In this time of dire need, Stephen Chan lent a helping hand and pulled him back to his nest, allowing him to get back on track with his life and his work. However, Stephen was entangled in a corruption scandal earlier and was indefinitely fired by TVB.

"Stephan is my benefactor, my master, and I never drew a clean line with him. Yes, he did give me a lot of opportunities. in 2006, he tugged me under TVB's management when I was having financial difficulties, and helped me get back on track with my life. I will never forget this gift and helping hand he lent me, and will never forget the opportunities that he provided me with. People say I'm part of the "Lost Cloud Gang" (TN: play on Stephen's chinese name), I don't care, this name only describes some of the people that Stephen helped promote. People who label me so can't be denied, it's true. At the same time though, I hope everyone won't forget that I have worked hard as well. Because I had bad run-ins with fate, I failed once, but people can't say that people with bad fate are losers, garbage or disabled."

Stephen didn't help out too much in 2009

"I haven't worried that Stephen's issues will affect my work. Honestly, when he brought me to TVB in 2007, I did indeed have a lot of work opportunities, but in the past year I haven't had any work with TVB. Last year, I accepted two dramas outside of TVB, one of them being a Wong Chun Chun movie...it wasn't until much later that I took over the hosting role from Amigo Chui for Jade Solid Gold and Book of Words. I can say that Stephen didn't help me too much in 2009, and that I worked hard to find my own work, just like how it is now."

Doesn't have expectations for relationships

4 is an unlucky number for Patrick, because every relationship he's had hasn't been able to outlast the four year mark. At the beginning of this year, Selena Li declared that they had broken up after four years in a highly public announcement, and the pair returned to being friends.

"Every relationship I've had, I've invested in, and everytime I think back to it it's painful. The earlier memories make me wistful, but the most recent ones are the scariest, because I remember every little detail, and it will always be a memory, and won't happen again. My love life right now can be described as "One person's luck"! After two relationships (Marsha Yuan, Selena), I don't have that much faith in love, and if I meet someone that I have feelings for today, or even if there is a person like that right next to me, I won't hold too much hope for the relationship. If my significant other has to leave one day, I will let her and won't hold her back, I won't think that much anymore. It sounds bad, but if I can't ensure my own happiness everyday, how can I make the people around me happy?"

Kicks away negative thoughts

Even though he has encountered roadblocks in both his work and his relationships, leading to constant ups and downs, Patrick has already learned not to dwell on the negative aspects in his head.

"This is life, I find it quite amusing. If it was before, I would be super unhappy, but now I won't think about it. I can't control what rumours other people churn out. So what if people are waiting to see if I'll be 'flown' out of my hosting programs, what kind of new jobs I'll have after my dramas are finished, or how I'll fail in the end? Even if my livelihood really meets a dead end, so what? What will the entertainment circle amount to without me? They'll be just fine, and I will continue living.

Actually I'm not that unlucky, it's just that I'm not as lucky as the super lucky ones! There are so many more people that are way unluckier than me, my life is actually quite good, I have a car to drive, I have food to eat, and I can buy the things I want and do things I like to do, I'm actually kind of fortunate."

In conclusion

"I never die! I never cry! You see!" When the interview was nearing the conclusion, Patrick sang these couple sentences with a super raspy voice, with the intention of inspiring others. There was once a Patrick Tang who could only dwell on the negatives in his everyday life, but after the highs and lows of his life and his work, he has grown up and matured.

I'm sure that today's Patrick already knows what kind of work he wants to do in his heart. Good luck and work hard at achieving your goal!

During the time before catching the MTR, he stopped by a news stand and bought a magazine about cars, reading while walking and also crossing the road. While on the MTR he was also seen reading his magazine but at times he would keep pulling the front of his cap down. He looks very secretive!

Ekin Cheng Getting Married with Yoyo Mung is a Possibility

Posted by Tiffany Liu 0 comments
Forty-two-year-old Ekin Cheng Yee Kin normally does not speak about his romantic relationships to self promote himself. Recently, Ekin collaborated with Jordan Chan Siu Chun on a Young and Dangerous film together. Ekin noticed Jordan's changes after he and Cherie Ying Choi Yee got married in February. Several of Ekin's close friends, such as Alex Fong Chung Sun also got married and had children.

Ekin and Yoyo Mung Ka Wai started dating in 2006 due to a mutual interest in badminton. He spoke of their relationship openly in 2008 for the first time, "I am not married and Yoyo is single. It's normal for us to be dating. I admire Yoyo's forthrightness!"

Last year, Ekin said bluntly that he did not want to get married. However it appears that he might have changed his mind this year. "In the past, I thought I would never get married. But now, I will truly think about it and ask myself, 'Should I get married?' "

Asked whether Ekin preferred to hold a lavish wedding banquet or get married secretly like Charlene Choi and Ronald Cheng Chung Kei. Ekin replied, "You critique Charlene's work, but you can not place judgement upon her private life and marriage. Even if she lied to the public, that is her right! Even in Andy Lau Tak Wah's case, where he was married secretly for many years, it is his personal matter.

How would Ekin handle his own marriage? "Me? Of course I will learn from the past occurrences... actually, I don't mind. I will tell everyone openly (when I get married)."

Raymond Lam & Tavia Yeung support new series, absolutely no plagiarism

Posted by Admin 0 comments
TVB new series "The Mysteries of Love" have been strongly criticized by Netizens that the story plagiarized from Japanese drama "Detective Galileo". Regardless of the criticisms, the TV ratings have not been affected with many local TV series fans supporting the series. The first episode received 32 points on average. Yesterday the cast and crew held a celebration for the good ratings, Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung both supported the series expressing that the series had no plagiarism elements. Raymond supported the creativity, while Tavia felt that the love story is richer than the original version.

Raymond said: "For series, coming and going is the same few genres. The script to our series is quite creative, before shooting we were already criticized to have plagiarized, but the most important thing is that every role is portrayed differently and that audience like it." Have you seen the original Japanese drama? "No, I usually don't watch originals or remakes, otherwise my acting may slightly resemble the original. You have to tailor the character with your own style, including my older series "A Step Into the Past" is the same. Currently the producer is not encouraging us to watch it because the story is different."

Tavia said that when they started filming this series, people were already saying that the series is a copy. Although she hasn't seen the original, she still does not feel the series is a copy. Also the love story of the main leads in "Mysteries" is richer. Is she afraid Netizens might boycott the series? Tavia said: "No, since the first day people already said the two dramas are similar."

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Yesterday afternoon, Moses Chan attended a beauty salon corporation luncheon as a guest performer. He sang English songs and got strong support from the female audience. Reporters teased Moses asking if he wanted to use English songs to pursue girls? He said no and it's just that he doesn't sound good when he sings Chinese songs. He also joked and said that he's a singer, already with 8 songs of his own, just need 2 more for a full album. Does he want to be like Raymond Lam, opening a concert in HK Coliseum? Moses said that he wished, or maybe he can be the first singer who holds a concert in HK Coliseum without any music albums released.

However, he says he does like to sing, but not performing because he easily blushes. Besides blushing easily, is his other weakness mentioning rumored girlfriend Bernice Liu? He believes its when mentioning any type of rumors or sensitive topics.

Lydia Tong's "Bonsai Cat" photo on Weibo causes an outrage of Artists' criticisms

Posted by Admin 0 comments

("Bonsai Cat")

Lydia Tong recently uploaded a "Bonsai Cat" photo on Weibo, revealing a cat trapped in a baby bottle. She said that its cute and won't have to be worried of losing him. Minutes after the upload, it led to an outrage on Weibo, where many artists criticized her. Artists that responded to the "bonsai cat" photo includes Lynn, Chilam Cheung, William Chan, G.E.M and many more. At 8am after the rage of responses, Lydia still did not feel bad as she fought back in English: "Wish u would find out the truth before criticizing others in public next time..." Most of the negative comments were deleted by her shortly after. Yesterday her mother Isabella Kau attended a beauty salon press conference and clearly prepared for her daughter, she expressed that she has lost contact with her daughter.

Isabella later tried to help her daughter by stressing that the "bonsai cat" is a photoshopped photo because that night when she saw Lydia's photo, she felt shocked and nausea. Lydia immediately called and said the photo was fake and just a prank, she just wanted to play with her friends. Isabella said: "When I heard that the photo was fake, I calmed down. Couldn't believe that the next morning the comments could be that crazy. Although its a prank, I was still angry at her. God mother (Carol Cheng) was also upset at her because it is very wrong to take life to joke around with."

Isabella said that Weibo is a public site and people should be responsible for whatever they say. Should respect life and should not be used to joke with. Speaking of Lydia being strongly hated, Isabella said: "I can't control it, she's only 21 years old. Can't say she's young or old. She doesn't have much life experience, but she did apologize already." People are saying that Lydia doesn't seem like she understands that she's wrong, and is blaming others? Isabella said: "She already said sorry! (You told her to say it?) No, I couldn't get in touch with her, she needs some time to recover. Her younger sister told me not to yell at her sister, fearing that if the scolding gets too crazy, she'll run away from home. This time she should learn a valuable lesson." Asked if her daughter has psychological problems? Isabella immediately said: "She didn't buy one, it's illegal."

----- Outraged Artists Comments -----
Including: Pakho Chau, Chilam Cheung, Myolie Wu/Koni Lui, Don Li, Eric Suen, Anne Heung...

Pakho Chau became very emotional and expressed that someone needs to call the police. Lydia's mother Isabella immediately apologized on his Weibo. In response to Lydia's comment about "not knowing the truth before criticizing in public", Pakho said: "I feel that she's still has an unwilling heart. (Do you feel that she's irresponsible for her actions?) Before I would think that she just doesn't know better, but now I am disgusted by her. I am a tad disappointed in her."

Chilam Cheung commented on Lydia's Weibo in response to the comment she made to him, to first do research on the photo before criticizing her, this made Chilam quite upset and expressed that he's indifferent towards these types of people. Later, when Chilam accepted an interview over the phone he said: "I feel that these type of people do not feel the pain unless they experience it. You are not saying that I'm a liar right? No one is suppose to lie, why don't you say there's a terrorist attack then, let's see how the country responds to you! Even wrote such comments, there is a limit to being a good person."

Cat lovers Myolie Wu and Koni Lui posted cute, heartwarming photos of them playing with their kittens on Weibo for a "silent protest" to Lydia's 'bonsai photo'.

Don Li continued to criticize Lydia on Weibo saying that he's feeling sad for her behavior.

A "pirated Leah Dizon" scolded the young model: "Still being stubborn! Ridiculous!"

Some artists like Eric Suen considered her young age. He expressed: She is just a little girl, we should all take that into account and cut her some slack!" Margie Zhuge also expressed that everyone should give her another chance because she had no cruel intentions.

Anne Heung: Are you kidding, no way! Show some respect.

Real Ting: "Are you crazy?"
