ATV cancels plans for new series, Pinky Cheung is not surprised

Saturday, March 27, 2010 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Earlier ATV considered to start shooting a new series in April with Pinky Cheung, Adason Lo and Joey Man entitled "Diamond Auntie House - 鑽石姑婆屋". However ATV is currently caught in a dispute with rumors of a new boss, where its trusted Sheng products have entered the ATV executive department and decided to use the funds for re-financing. Because of this, the series is now canceled.

Pinky Cheung expressed that she's not surprised that the series is canceled and frankly said that she have already received the cancellation news. She said: "Initially ATV told me that the series will start in February, then postponed to March and now April. I received a call from ATV two days ago, the producer told me that the series is not going to film anymore! (Are you disappointed?) Actually I won't have any hope, but my contract with ATV is ending in two months, I won't waiting here. I accepted to shoot a new film in May, and there is a possibility that I will come back to work on a series for ATV!"

William: Baby and Ronald rumours are so fake

Posted by Admin 0 comments
At a jeans catwalk yesterday, William Chan says he has already forgotten when the last time he had a show with Angelababy was. However, he denies having completely forgotten her, because of her numerous rumours in the news, and asks everyone not to believe the rumours that are floating around about her. To rumours that Baby is a player of the field, he protected her and shot down that notion.

Is Baby the third person that wrecked Ronald and Charlene? William honestly said that when he first saw reports of Baby and Ronald having a relationship, he knew it was just a promotion gimmick. Asked if he thought Baby's image would be ruined as a result, he said, "No, I've had rumours in the past with Gillian. My rumours were just too fake, just like Baby and Ronalds! I didn't send any texts to comfort her, I'm pretty sure she's not affected." William says that he has kept in contact with Baby in the past year, but didn't ask any relationship related questions. "I just want her to be happy. Reconciliation? I won't think about it in the short run, because I need to focus on my work."

Ryan Lau (Lau Wai Wong) 31, is one of the oldest contestants from TVB's Talent show "The Voice". He doesn't regret quitting his current job and stepping into the music industry during this stage of his life. "I have worked in my previous job for 10 years but never regret it because I have enough experience in that field. Even if I don't become successful aa a singer I can always return to my old job. My family and friends said that I need to give this a try, there is nothing to lose".

Ryan doesn't consider that being older is a weak point. He even joked that the younger contestants are monkies. He said "I never thought that being older was a weak point. My way of thinking is childish. At first I thought I was the older brother to them and needed to control the group of monkies. But in the end when we became close we were able to become part of a team". However he would often be teased by the monkies. "They would joke about my age and would say I passed my school exams a very long time ago".

Heartbroken Mandy trips and falls on stage

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Mandy Lieu, Jessica C., Marie Zhuge and Ana R. were among the many models walking at the "Fashion Jungle. In Here. At Festival Walk." two nights ago. Wearing a skirt, Mandy carelessly tripped and skinned her knees on the stage; luckily she recovered quickly and kept going like nothing happened.

Slippery stage for accidents, both knees turn red

After the incident, Mandy confessed that the shoes and the stage were a slippery combination, and the fall resulted in her having red knees. She was in pain, but refused to see a doctor. Asked if her mishap was related to her love woes, she said, "Not related, it's due to a slippery stage, I told everyone to be careful backstage!" Would she call ex boyfriend Bolin Chen about the accident? After a long laugh she replied, "I'm not answering this question, I'm fine, it's not a big deal! Next time I will put more sticky paper on the bottom of my shoes."

Jessica C. rushes home to meet with boyfriend

Jessica C. knew about Mandy's catwalk accident, and said that if it had happened to her, she would definitely break down and cry. She was glad that she had never had such an accident before, the worst incident was a little slipup that showed her pink underwear. That night, Jessica didn't showcase her "alarm-ing breasts", which she explained by saying, "I need to let them rest sometime!" She said that her boyfriend had already returned to Hong Kong, so she was in a rush to meet him at home.

Marie stressed that she has always been very careful at shows, but has also done a little flashing of her own. Her makeup wasn't as seductive as three days ago, where all the Japanese boys oohed and ahhed, praising her beauty. Immediately, she told her boyfriend not to worry, because she had just bought a huge order of sexy outfits, and would wear them more often. Can her boyfriend tell her not to be so sexy? She said, "He hasn't done so before, I'm usually not that seductive, that dress was also pretty athletic."

The other day, Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) was in Mainland to promote her new film "Beauty On Duty" and exposed that after her 6 year relationship ended with Ronald Cheng, the rumors got out of hand. Most of the headlines would say Ronald is a playboy. At the film's Thank You reception, Ah Sa looked unhappy when she mentioned Ronald, tears formed in her eyes.

Gets into personality, clarifies for old lover

It was reported that the reason for the break up was because Ronald cheated? Ah Sa strongly supported Ronald: "We broke up because of mutual understanding, it does not involve any of the rumors. He is not that type of person. When I learned of the rumors, I was very angry, we have already broken up and still have to hurt Ronald and I. Our relationship had never involved a third person, the rumors have gone way over!"

Ah Sa explained that she only clarified for Ronald is because the rumors have started talking about his personality, she strongly stresses that Ronald is a faithful person. She said: "We broke up because of mutual understanding. There are many other factors in a relationship, don't always think its complicated. The world can be more simple." Ronald getting insulted, does her heart ache? She said: "Of course I am hurt. I'm already not happy about the break up, and still have to deal with constant rumors."

Ah Sa said: "I announced the break up because I don't want any more speculations. The break up is between Ronald and I, we do not have to have to provide an explanation to the world. We are not dating everyone in the world." But she refused to answer the question regarding to the rumors of her marriage to Ronald in 2006. She was then immediately suspected if the rumors are really true, why is she not willing to admit it? She insisted: "This is our personal life. I have already said what I wanted to say, there are many things I don't have to explain to everyone." Asked if she would choose for a secret marriage? She did not answer. Ah Sa denied that the Twins concert ticket sales are doing poorly. She felt that if the ticket sales were not doing well, then why would EEG decide to add another show? She also heard that EEG is considering adding more shows.

Producer Nelson Cheung: Charmaine Sheh & Dayo Wong gives surprises

Posted by Admin 0 comments
TVB Producer Nelson Cheung has been in behind the scenes television industry for 30 years, relying boldly on innovative characters to generate applaud by the public. Some of his productions include Charmaine Sheh and Dayo Wong's "You're Hired" and Roger Kwok and Sonjia Kwok's "D.I.E" which has left deep impressions on audience. Among them, the Charmaine and Dayo fresh new combination created a strong chemical effect, giving happiness to all.

At an early age, Nelson has always loved to watch comedy flicks. Because of the accelerating Hong Kong film industry in the 70s and 80s, he was able to get into production and filming work. He joined ATV in 1979 as a PA and was promoted to director after 2 years. In 1985, he switched over to TVB and was promoted to a producer in 1989. Some of his productions includes: "One Step Beyond"、"Love Is Beautiful"、"Dicey Business"、"D.I.E", "You're Hired", etc, moving forward into his television career and earning a very good reputation.

Nelson had also always had an adventurous spirit, so he is brave on the roles he creates for the artists he uses. Back in 1991, he decided to use Dicky Cheung and Deric Wan for the comedy series "One Step Beyond", it was so funny that it left memorable impressions on audience. His recent production "Your Hired", he decided to use Charmaine Sheh and Dayo Wong for a fresh new pairing, not only did audience applaud to the idea, but even Nelson felt surprised at the great success the pairing gave off.

Admires Dayo Wong, Charmaine Sheh surprises you

He said: "I really admire Dayo Wong. He is one talented performer and he is very hard working. Every time he does a series, he would do a lot of homework for it. From TV series to stand up comedy, he is the best. He is a very generous person, whatever new ideas he thinks of, he'll definitely share it with others. When filming series, he doesn't know that his acting is good, but he would look after otehr artists, getting into character together. Charmaine, although she's one of the most popular actresses, but she really uses her heart to act. Not only does she fulfill the producer's requirements well, but many times she would give you many surprises along with it. So Dayo and Charmaine both give off good sparks. I also discovered that Charmaine really does have good comedy acting skills."

Supports Kenneth Ma, Tavia Yeung

Speaking of the rising stars, Nelson felt among the new rising Siu Sangs Kenneth Ma's acting is the most solid. New rising FaDan, he supports Tavia. He said: "I have worked with most of the new rising siu sangs, every one of them have their own strengths and hard work, but for acting Kenneth Ma is definitely the one that is most solid. Perhaps he knows he needs to put up the go down the acting path. As for FaDans, Tavia Yeung I support, she's like a military worker. Maybe its because whatever role you give her, she will put all her efforts into it for you, I have seen her improving all along."

Looks like TVB is bringing out all these new programs to calm the Stephen Chan's ICAC arrest situation down.

Liza Wang refutes "Hong Kong Gossip" copied "Enjoy Yourself Tonight"

Liza Wang advised the Media not to make the press conference too complicated by asking about Stephen: "We currently have so many new shows, we want to promote them! Why think everything is related to Stephen Chan's corruption case? Our operations are currently back to normal." It was said that the show she hosts "Fun With Liza And Gods" is a copy off ATV's "Hong Kong Gossip - 香港亂唞". Liza said: "Crazy! Out of all the variety shows, "Enjoy Yourself Tonight (EYT)" started first! It's hard to say who copied who!"

Eric Tsang denied that the press conference was held to stabilized the situation, but he admitted Stephen's incident has affected TVB, he said: "Every artist, management companies, advertisement companies and production companies learned a lesson. Pay reduction is a problem, but friendship price is not, so friendship prices will never disappear. There are many artists who are willing to have lower incomes than no job at all." Speaking of the new season of "Super Trio", Eric expressed the "oldie" Chin Ka Lok will not be participating in it, the candidates to replace him should be Kam Kong (金剛) and Alvina Kong. He said: "Hopefully the new "Super Trio" can bring out more new people. The great imitators Wong Cho Lam and Louis Yuen are great choices for "Fun With Liza and Gods", and also they are only one person, can't do two shows at once."

"Be My Guest" set to be replaced by new talkshow

Coordinator Manager Ho Lai Chuen denied the rumors regarding this press conference: "In April there will be many new shows, so we are holding a larger press conference. TVB will add more strong shows, and there are currently still other shows in production." As for "Fun With Liza And Gods" being said that its a copy off "Hong Kong Gossip", Ho Lai Chuen strongly stressed that the show appeared on the TVB Sales Presentation two years ago, there were already production plans for this show. Lo Hoi Pang's "EYT" has already been around for a number of years "don't know who's copying who". Speaking of "Be My Guest" being replaced with a new talkshow, Ho Lai Chuen exessed that the candidates for the host has already been chosen, but confirmation will be announced tomorrow's meeting.

Sexy Michelle Ye ‘overflows’ fascinating guests

Richie Ren paying attention to Michelle’s chest ‘overflowing’

Uncle Zhi seems as though he wanted to stick back the movie card for her.

Countless of female celebrities were present at Media Asia’s Movies Premiere the night before last, the sexiest female star must be none other than Michelle Ye who wore a long dress yet revealed half her breasts, when she slightly bends over to join in the cheers, her chests has the effect of overflow, such a ‘risky’ act also won high ‘attention’ from Richie Ren!

When Michelle Ye stood by the backdrop for a group photo, the movie card stuck on her fell to the ground, Liu Kaichi picked it up to avoid her ‘spilling’ over just to pick up, but Uncle Zhi seems as though he wanted to stick it back for Michelle Ye, but hesitated a little and was in time to retract his hand, and then stuck it in front of his own chest.

‘Fire Dragon’ Michelle Ye strives real hard; Wang Baoqiang is ‘savior’

Posted by Admin 0 comments

Pic1 : Michelle strives hard to film

Pic 2: Wang Baoqiang and Michelle Ye at filming set

Pic 3: Wang Baoqiang and Michelle Ye

Hong Kong explosive action mega movie ‘Fire Dragon’ will soon hit the screens nationwide on 1st April. At the Hong Kong premier, Richie Ren claims female lead Michelle Ye half sympathizing and half teasing, “Seeing you injured all over, I thought you love SM.” Michelle replied: “Very abusive right! The director is too ruthless, not spoiling the female even a little bit. It seems I get injured everytime I film an action scene, I still have the sword scar (from CA) on my thigh.” It was on revealed then that Michelle strived no less harder than Leon in ‘Fire of Conscience’. What was touching for Michelle was that, although she had to strive hard during filming, the entire crew, onscreen or behind scene takes good care of her, including Wang Baoqiang who first came to film in Hong Kong becomes her ‘life savior’.

Because they’re both from Mainland, Michelle Ye and Wang Baoqiang are like old friends at first sight, they become very good ‘buddies’ during their period of filming. There was once when Michelle had to film a scene where she had to dash down a hill at steepness of 60degrees. As it was too steep and furthermore she was running too fast, it was impossible to halt herself. Luckily, Wang Baoqiang who was watching at the side dashed out to catch hold of her, otherwise she would have run into the wall or perhaps into the highway. Ever since then, even if Wang Baoqiang did not have any filming, he would still be present as Michelle’s ‘bodyguard’. Michelle Ye laughs saying that the crew actually does enough preparation as safety measures, but that time was a little too dangerous causing Wang Baoqiang to be nervous, however she is very touched by this friendship.

It was disclosed that apart from having to accomplished challenging stunts with the actors, Michelle had to ‘appear ugly’ too, she cut away her long hair to become the police officer. However, Michelle does not deem cutting away her long hair a sacrifice at all, when director Dante Lam first got her he said a simple phrase “Need to cut short hair.”, and she agreed without thinking twice, causing Dante Lam to be stunned, because it was quite a risk for an actress to suddenly drastically change her appearance. Meanwhile, Michelle personally felt that she could do all kinds of sacrifices as long as it was for the needs of the film. She felt that this police officer couldn’t be acted with long hair, “In case of fights, what happens if the hair gets stuck by objects? Women police officer don’t keep long hair too, its not very practical.”

Recalling the filming of ‘Fire of Conscience’, Michelle felt the most difficult part is the action and explosive scenes. Director Dante Lam picked Michelle Ye among the crowd of actresses because he deemed her dancing basic will allow her to accomplish the action scenes easier in comparison. However, for Michelle, she felt the challenge this time was the overall stamina and fitness. The one explosion scene which left her with deep impression was the one where she had to be ‘blown’ out of the area by momentum into the wall on the other side, the entire scene was accomplished by tying steel wires around her body and then dragged at high speed across the area, when bumping into the wall, the feeling was as though her entire bone structure was crushed, even Leon Lai who filmed the same scene was worried, and checked if she was injured right after.

Frankie Lam and Kenix Kwok named their daughter 林天若

Frankie Lam had an interview with Char Siu Yan at the commercial radio yesterday. He revealed that he had named his daughter "林天若". Frankie said "Just like the movie "A Moment of Romance" (天若有情). I feel the name sounds very nice and gentle, not many people chose this name."

Frankie admits that he is a "benevolent father", he couldn't bear to hear her cry. The moment she starts crying, he would go up to her and pick her up. He went on to say "I came home the other day, Kenix said the baby was crying and she let her cry for 45 minutes. She asked me not to get upset when I heard that." Frankie was asked if Kenix gets jealous because he loves his daughter so much? He replied "No, both of them are my treasure." Frankie smiled and said when his daughter grows up, he would tell her to let him know if she wants to go to Christmas party, he won't disturb her, but he would watch her from a distance. Reporter asked if Kenix laughed and thought he is sick after she heard what he said? Frankie replied "I don't want my daughter to get bullied."

Baby hopes SaGei reconciles, fears Huang Xiao Ming's jealousy

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Ronald Cheng and Ah Sa's public supposed breakup has caused many rumours to fly, one of which points to Angelababy as the third person. Yesterday, Baby loudly cried her innocence, and vehemently denied any possibility of her and Ronald ever hooking up, even praising Ronald and Ah Sa's match as made in heaven. She hoped that they would reconcile as soon as possible. Could Baby's quick rebuttal be an attempt to prevent any misunderstandings with another of her rumoured boyfriends, Huang Xiao Ming?

Dressed in a young fresh style, Baby was a ribbon cutter for Italian brand Fly Girl's new store opening yesterday. Mentioning SaGei's breakup, Baby, who has worked with Ronald before, sighed loudly, and said it was a pity. Until it was alluded to that she was the reason for their breakup, Baby then responded, "They are very cute together, it's a pity about their breakup. Maybe they will get back together later, I hope they do so soon! Our previous rumours were only for promotional purposes, I don't even have Ronald's number! Although he is a very funny person, he's not my type, there's just no way it would work out. My friends won't believe these rumours."

Rumours with Ronald are all promotional efforts

Rumours of Baby being nicknamed "CEO's girlfriend" (since Ronald was once named Gold Typhoon's CEO), she quickly cleared things up. "If I want to sing K then I go to CEO! I haven't read the magazines lately, I didn't know I had a new nickname." She feels victimized at having been tethered into rumours of being a third wheel, and only said that a relationship also requires fate.

Not thinking of breast augmentation at the moment

Showing signs of cup size increase, Baby's tank top and hot shorts showed further supported the rumour, and was teased about having a second growth spurt. "Maybe I have put on some weight lately, I really hope I am still growing, but I am still young, and I'm not thinking of getting breast implants in Japan at the moment."

Lynn Xiong's new place not paid for by Aaron

There have been reports that Aaron Kwok shelled out the cash for his girlfriend Lynn to rent out a luxury mansion for her new abode, fulfilling the "gold residency" dream. Baby believes that this rumour is not true, and supports Lynn for her hard work to earn her own money. At the same time, Baby says this is also her goal, to earn money and afford a house for her family to live in. Lynn's manager Kim also clarified, "Actually our company is the one that helped Lynn move, she paid for the move herself, and this incident is not related to anyone else."

Tavia Yeung - The Equation Of Beauty

Thursday, March 25, 2010 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Tavia’s performance in [Beyond the Realm of conscience] was a total change from her usual image, and based on this drama, she won the [My Favourite Female Character],[Best actress] and [Best Performance] awards. Her career has reached new heights and she appears to be more confident. She has no problems handling clothes of different styles and is more feminine when she wears miniskirts. Her success and beauty is due to her confidence and hard work. Her popularity today is not due to chance.

Short Hair

If truth be told, Tavia’s short hair does catch my eye and has a refreshing style which matches her frank personality perfectly; it is not surprising that it received positive comments. All this while, she has kept her long hair; the image of a good person left a deep impression on many. She has a motive for cutting her hair short. “I have always wanted to try keeping short hair and change my image, but because my face is more suited for filming costume dramas, cutting my hair short would appear more modern and broaden myself to different aspects, boldly accepting my new image,” Tavia giggled.

Sexy

In actual fact, Tavia has been working hard to change herself and trying to find her own style. She has struggled a lot in the past for her to be confident today. She was not sexy in the past and resisted wearing singlet. “In the past, I was persistent in my own ways, and feel that I should get the viewers attention through my acting skills. If you want to interview me, you can, but why must I wear so little? As I grow older, and with my manager’s guidance, I began to accept the different styles and become more confident.” The turning point of her beauty began in 2006 when she filmed [Dicey Business]. Due to the requirement of the role, she purposely tanned herself and when she wore sleeveless garment, she left a healthy and beautiful impression; confidence was built up gradually. When she wore a skirt during filming and posed she laughed and said: “Ha! Actually some clothes does not look attractive until you wear it.”

Bargaining

Tavia has her principles when it comes to wearing clothes. She prefers the Japanese style as it looks younger and has a wider variety. She dislikes the hassle; hence she would only patronize specific shops, or if given a chance, go to Japan to buy everything at one go.4 w8 L9 i& N% Y [+ m; W7 E. ^
When shopping in HK, it is unavoidable for people to point fingers, and Tavia says she likes bargaining. “Actually the price does not matter; it is about the process and the sense of achievement. There was a sale at a boutique in Causeway Bay and I shopped for over 3 hours. I bought many accessories and clothes; the bill was over a thousand dollars which means every piece cost about 200dollars.” Her face lit up as she said; she does not mind telling you how ordinary she is, her straightforward personality is rare. Summer is coming, and her style of her clothes will change with her hairstyle. Usually it was feminine, now it is more neutral and mature. This summer she will have a simple and refreshing image; singlet, shorts, and slippers should be her shopping targets.

Skin Maintenance

Tavia has a good figure and smooth and delicate skin which is a result of her hard work. She maintained her figure through exercise and mopping the floor. “Mopping the floor can reduce my mother’s burden, and reduce stress by perspiring, it is a good exercise. She loves doing spa which aids blood circulation, and applies skincare products that tighten the calf and arm areas and keep her figure. Talking about skincare, Tavia has sensitive skin and tends to have pimples more easily and filming requires her to stay up late in the night which causes her skin to be dry and dehydrated, hence she needs to follow the skin cleansing procedures and drink more soup for hydration.

Deep in thought

A busy work schedule, she says that she will reduce stress thoroughly by thinking. “I stay at home whenever I am not working. I want my mind to think of nothing, do nothing, not answer calls, not reply, and not worry about anything, just get enough rest and privacy. Because my job involves too much stress, there is not enough sleep and become haggard and irritable easily. Hence I want to clear my mind and prepare myself for the next job.”

She sets high standards for her job and herself, but fortunately she is optimistic, hence she can finish her job quite easily. For example that day before coming to the studio, she just finished 3 interviews and filming and is still looking good. “I detest taking photographs and make-up but I will self-motivate. You will be interviewed only when you are news-worthy. Hence I will prep myself up for filming so that I can go home early to rest. Actually Tavia is trying her best to fulfill the reporter’s request, to appear feminine and confident on-cam to attain the best results.

‘Fire of Conscience’ premiere; Leon Lai praises Michelle Ye skilled ‘internally and externally’

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Hong Kong action movie ‘Fire of Conscience’ held its premiere at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition centre where Director Dante Lam brought his casts Leon Lai, Richie Ren, Michelle Ye, Liu Kaichi, Wang Baoqiang, etc stars to attend the ceremony. Female lead Michelle Ye became the highlight of the premiere among the male dominated casts. She laughs claiming that her ‘police officer’ role of hers in ‘Fire of Conscience’ also happens to be the most ‘humane’ one. “She is the only one who cries and laughs expressing her emotions in the movie, Leon Lai is too depressed while Richie Ren is too cool, whereas Wang Baoqiang does not speak of his emotions.” However, Michelle also expressed that her role this time is the ‘most handsome’ and ‘most unfeminine’ one as compared to the past, where she not only need to have relationship scenes, but also stays by the side of her superior Leon Lai in facing life and death, in the scenes where they were battling with the bandits, she too has to accomplish the very challenging stunts that male actors did, the few explosion scenes nearly blew her eardrums.

Director Dante Lam at the press conference expressed his recognition for Michelle Ye, frankly revealing that she is the actress he has most confidence to portray an action role excellently, and has immediately invited her for more collaboration right after the completion of ‘Fire of Conscience’ filming, wanting to train her to become the successor of an action actress. Dante Lam also praised Michelle’s professionalism, where only three seconds of words of “Need to cut hair short” had made Michelle cut her long hair away without any hesitation at all, and he only knew after that it was her first time cutting short her hair in the lifetime. Leon Lai was full of praises towards Michelle Ye who plays his ‘subordinate’, saying she is very comfortable (to be with) be it ‘in or out of movie’. She is silently in love with him in the movie, does his laundry and took care of his daily necessities, and is a very compatible partner at work, while she is very earnest and professional out of the movie. ‘Fire of Conscience’ has stunts and action scenes that caused him muscle pain so severe it hurts to move, and thus he was in awe at how Michelle Ye who had to accomplish his same stunts could endure it.

Receiving praises from director and movie king, Michelle Ye expressed that it is the honor of her lifetime to be able to work with the most professional filming crew, both onscreen and behind stage and that it was her biggest achievement. Although ‘Fire of Conscience’ had pushed her to the limits, but the people in the industry who’ve admired her efforts in the movie made it all worthy. Michelle also revealed an interesting incident while filming with Leon Lai; Director Dante Lam requested a lengthy scene where it required her and Leon to run along seven streets continuously; and the scene was repeated for over twenty takes. Because Leon had longer legs, he was evidently faster when running, thus after twenty takes, Michelle’s stamina was really pushed to the limits. After achieving the task and arriving at the middle of Mahua Road, while other crew and her assistant’s vehicle had yet arrived, luckily Leon was quick witted enough and very gentlemanly dragged her to the side into a Japanese restaurant for a good rest.

Towards this, reporters asked (Michelle) why be it Director Johnny To or Dante Lam that they preferred the tougher version of Michelle Ye, she laughed saying: “Maybe because I have a plain appearance, haha.” At this, Richie Ren who was standing at the side, disagreed: “Michelle is very feminine, I really anticipate acting in a love story movie with her.” “As your confidante right?” Michelle said. I need to keep fit in order to get job offers to do movie, TV and commercials." The reporter pointed out that a magazine reported she was seen delivering food to a hotel. Samantha replied "That was the plot in a movie. I didn't know they would make such report. They have twisted the fact." Samantha went on to say some reporters even went to her mother's stall to ask about that. She continued "I hope they leave my mother alone, she would get scared. (If you earn so much, she doesn't have to run the stall). My mother doesn't think there is any difference whether I am earning a lot or not. She is working for a living and so am I. I just want to earn a lot more so that I don't have to work."

Myolie Wu's Performance In Beauty's Scheme Being Strongly Supported

Posted by Admin 0 comments
The palace drama, Beauty's Scheme, is produced by the golden scriptwriter, Yu Zheng, with many popular stars being casted in the series. Currently, it is still airing on Shanghai TV Channel. The "Cheung-Yue" romance between Myolie Wu and Feng Shao Feng, which just ended its run in the TV series, even received good reviews from the netizens and audience. According to sources, it was also Myolie Wu's first time taking part in a pure Mainland-produced TV series. After the success of this first-time trial, she rapidly joined the cast of another Yu Zheng's major production, Happy Mother-in-law Pretty Daughter-in-law, channeling her efforts into entering the Mainland market.

As one of the A-listed Fadans in TVB, Myolie Wu's dramas in Mainland are mostly familiar within the audience, like War-of-in-laws, Triumph in the Skies, The Drive of Life etc. This time, she unprecedentedly took part in a Mainland TV series, but not as the main female lead, making the audience surprised as they tried to fight for more screentime for her. The scriptwriter, Yu Zheng, also revealed that due to Myolie Wu's schedule, thus he was unable to arrange more scenes for her. At the same time, he said that he admired Myolie Wu a lot, and he will definitely continue working with her.

In Beauty's Scheme, Myolie Wu acted as Lui Yue. In history, Lui Yue has no name, but her eternal romance with Lau Cheung had always been complimented by people. Lui Yue was born in a royal family, but because her mother was a concubine, thus when her father died, she was being chased out of the house. She and her mother, a gambling addict, depended on each other for a living. Empress Lui wanted to infiltrate deeply into the Lau royal family, thus she betrothed the daughters from the Lui family to the princes from the Lau family. Lui Yue was betrothed to Lau Cheung, but she won over true love. In addition, in the face of a righteous cause, she chose to stand by her husband. She had a significant contribution towards the final downfall of the Lui reign, thus the Han history was unable to erase her presence away. Moreover, Lau Cheung was devoted towards her, giving up his throne in exchange for her. Thus the couple was loving till the end.

It isn't the first time for Myolie Wu to act in an ancient drama. But it's her first time for an ancient drama using the Han dynasty as its background. In the drama, no matter whether it's the refreshing and subtle outfit, or the meticulously-designed palace clothes and newly-wed bride costume, when it's worn on Myolie Wu, they seemed to look as if they had been custom-made for her. Many audience have said that they haven't seen such a well-bred and quiet Myolie Wu before. At the same time, the romances in the entire Beauty's Scheme had been more melancholic, but for the couple, Lui Yue and Lau Cheung, acted by Myolie and Feng Shao Feng respectively, it was filled with warmth and blissfulness, helping the drama to add some romantic colors.

Though Myolie Wu did not have many scenes, she gave this Lui Yue character the special traits of simple-mindedness, strength and the openness to love and hate, and it was quite memorable to the audience. They also enjoyed the romance between Lau Cheung and Lui Yue. This drama has been receiving high ratings, while Myolie Wu's popularity in Mainland is starting to rise as well. It's believed that in future, the audience can continue to enjoy Myolie Wu's performance in more Mainland TV series.

Kevin Cheng & Kenneth Ma's Charm: Talks about Work, Girls, Rumors

Posted by Admin 0 comments
The two big men Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma got together to talk about work, rumors, girls, having daughters and everything there is, they can even laugh about everything. These two good brothers with similar minds gave mutual praises to each other: "He's so handsome", "He's so sweet". They also have their own preferences on work and girls, so there's no fear of hurting their relationship.

The Him in Their Eyes

Kevin and Kenneth's "brotherhood fate" started last year during "Strictly Come Dancing". At the time, the two didn't know each other that well, until they worked together on "A Fistful of Stances" as brothers. It was only then that the two began to know one another at a deeper level understanding each other's charms.

Kevin: "To men, Kenneth is a very sweet, cute and simple big kid. He likes soccer, cars and is easily loved by others. He's very serious and stubborn towards work, this type of stubbornness is one of his positive as well as negative character traits. Sometimes he would bring trouble to work. I also have this type of stubbornness, so we get along well. For example, waiting for an opportunity to come, I believe that opportunities are reserved for people who are prepared for it, once this opportunity comes, he will take advantage of it. Chai Gau (Wayne Lai) have been waiting for so many years, Kenneth shouldn't wait too long!"

Kenneth: Kevin Cheng in my eyes, before we collaborated I have already heard a lot of gossip relating to him. Most of them were about how he's very troublesome and is hard to get along with. Before I met him, I saw him at an event and he looked very cool, not saying a word, felt like he had a gate in front of him and at that time I thought he was hard to get along with. Until we worked on "A Fistful of Stances", the people around me told me, "He's pretty hard to get along with!" but after working with him more, I quickly changed my impression on him. Actually the public misunderstood and is biased towards Kevin. Like he said, perhaps its because we both have a type of stubbornness towards work, so we just click so well. But at first when I didn't know him well, I really felt like he's mysterious, especially to his juniors like me, I'm afraid to say something wrong, don't know if he'll get angry. After knowing him more, I realized that Kevin is a very professional artist. Maybe the public is focused more on Kevin's handsome looks, I feel that he's pretty handsome, but also hope audience can see that he's got "good material" in his acting, don't just look at appearances. In "A Fistful of Stances", there are a few scenes of his that were quite memorable to me.

Kevin: I don't agree that I'm mysterious (laughs), but I am slow when it comes to getting to know people. Kenneth is also slow, but I'm slower, facing people that I don't really know, I won't take the initiative to know them, I won't take the first step. I don't know what I should say, so I give others the feeling that there's a "wall". Kenneth and I get along well because we have similar minds. We both are artistic in acting, acting is a type of art, towards the role, script and the details, we have high expectations. Sometimes we get stubborn and think that our own opinions are the best, but it's not that we don't listen to what others have to say, just that the person needs to get our trust in order to do so. Can't just have so many opinions without any reason. It is necessary for an artist to be artistic in their acting.

Kenneth: Yes! Some of my admired seniors who give me advice, I would especially pay attention. Just as Kevin said, if I see someone who has no reason, but comes and tries to teach me how to act, I would think "stop playing with me".

Outside of work, men often like to talk about girls. Kenneth exposes that Kevin loves girls that are challenging. Kevin expressed that Kenneth likes good obedient girls. Their tastes are different, no need to fight for a girl.

Kenneth: I know exactly what Kevin's taste is.

Kevin: I also know what your taste is! Haha! He likes good obedient girls!

Kenneth: Kevin likes girls who give off a sense of challenge! The girls he likes are what an average guy thinks are hard to pursue, so we won't fight for girls. I don't really like girls who are hard to get, I like the comfortable factor. Sometimes when my big brother (Kevin) and I see a girl, we would do some commenting. I ask him, "Big Brother is she ok?", he would say: "Your taste!"

Kevin: Not like that, the girls Kenneth likes are good girls and are nice!

Kenneth: Opposite of Kevin's preference on girls, his personality is quiet and doesn't say much. I think in many girls' eyes, he is quite a challenge as well. Many girls feel that this person is hard to get, it's not any girl who tries to pursue him will be successful. Although its not common for a girl to pursue a guy, pursuing Kevin will not be easy and it's the same with work, he has high expectations on girls.

Kevin: There are two ways to relationships. People pick you, you pick people. Others will also have high expectations on you. It goes both ways. Are the success chances high on the girls I pursue? I had quite a bit of girls pursing me, Hahaha! I'm also not easy to pursue, dead yet?! Haha, just kidding!

The type of girls they like, does these included their rumored girlfriends Charmaine Sheh and Nancy Wu? When the two heard their names, their facial expression immediately changed. Asked how would they describe their relationship with Charmaine and Nancy? The two good bothers said they are friends. Kevin elaborated: "Colleagues and Friends, never changed."

Have been in the entertainment circle for several years, towards dealing with troubling situations, at first would be resistance towards them, but later slowly began to take it easy to avoid damaging their health.

Kevin: The public are rather more concerned about the private lives of the people in the entertainment industry. Sometimes truth, sometimes false! Don't need to say what is real or not, haha! I understand what the readers are thinking, but we want to protect our personal space as much as we can. If two people from the entertainment circle are dating, then the focus would be on their relationship, while their efforts towards work would be neglected. If the other half is from outside of the industry, that person would also suffer the pressure, with the media investigating their background, not everyone can accept this. I will choose to protect my private life, until we are both comfortable with our relationship that I will announce it, like when I get marry. However, when we have kids, we're afraid of exposing them to the public, what if they get kidnapped? Who is to blame then? I am thinking far, but if we get photographed in the future, I do hope that the photo would be censored (blurred)!

Kenneth: I used to really oppose to rumors, no matter if its real or not, I would oppose it. There was one senior who told me that being in this industry, I have to accept it. Now if the stories aren't written too nasty, then I don't mind. I'll just treat it as news that gets me on the papers. Artists also hope to have a love life, meeting a girl and wanting to develop the relationship, there are stages. The worst is when we just became friends, the media writes all these stories about us, saying that we are getting married, having kids, even saying that we're cheating on the girl. I don't think that is too good, can't even develop a relationship normally. It's hard.

Kevin: Just having dinner together, then we're dating. Anyone would be frightened! What kind of girl would dare to go out with you alone? There's no way to control it. But, I'm currently focused on my career. Men have it better than women, even if we are older, we can still have kids, relationships, so not in a hurried for marriage. My mom is not even rushing me, what am I rushing about? Let fate take its course!

Kenneth: Patience. My mother has never rushed me, she only said that theres not enough money to make, so cute!

Kevin: In the future when I get marry, I will definitely have kids. If I have a daughter as cute as "Man Ling Mui Mui", then that be amazing! Even the father loses to the daughter's hands, I'll faint by all the daughter's girly sweet voice ("deh")!
