Mrs Ting gives red packets

Posted by Admin 0 comments
It's Miriam's first time giving red packets as "Mrs Ting". When she saw the King of Fortune, she hugged him excitedly and requested red packets for her husband. The King of Fortune pat her stomach with the red packet and said it's for the baby. Miriam laughed and said, "There's none yet, but I'll receive it in advance."

Real Ting was nervous when he gave out red packets previously. Miriam said, "Don't know what he was nervous about! He already inserted money to the red packets 3 days before new year. Made me nervous as well!" She has given out more red packets than previous years, "It's like feeding fishes in the pond! (The King of Fortune gave red packet to your baby?) Just a wish in advance! Even he is concerned about this." Real had revealed a baby born in the year of rabbit will be a match to his zodiac. "He's superstitious, ask him to go host a radio show! I know he likes kids but wait till I finish all work, let nature takes it's course!"

Did her mother-in-law hurry her? She replied, "Every senior hopes to have grand children, I'll try my best! Many people wished me to have kids this year. (How did she spend her Valentine's Day?) We asked each other not to give presents. I'm already happy with his company for 1 min." She revealed her company asked her and her husband to sing a duet but she said, "of course not!"

Charlene Choi and Raymond Lam plays with slapping each other

Friday, February 19, 2010 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Raymond Lam and Charlene Choi are currently shooting for new film "Emerald Pearl". The day before, the two were shooting in TV City ancient streets in the cold. The scene talked about Raymond and the four friends Kenny Kwan, Ken Hung, Matthew Ko and Benjamin Yuen were roaming the night streets bumping into girl disguised as a guy Charlene. In the confusion, the two started slapping each other and bickering.

Raymond and Ah Sa are also a bickering pair off screen, bringing their natural feelings into filming. Raymond said: "But during filming, we had to try really hard to hold in our laughter. The hardest part was when I was facing Annie Lam, but we don't laugh overboard. When its time to film, we got all our homework done." Do you NG a lot? "Of course there are some. This time its an ancient film, one time I added some English words by accident." Raymond clearly will treat everyone for something to eat when he NGs. Also, the crew had to work all night long, Raymond and Ah Sa teamed up and treated everyone.

Ah Sa fortunately is disguised as a male, with clothing covering her arms and leg, so she wasn't as cold. However she still had two heat packets to stay warm, she said: "It's consider pretty hard this time, every day have to shoot for 10+ hours. Earlier when we were shooting up in the hills, mosquitoes bit me every where. Also there was a lot of mud on the ground, everyone had to wash their shoes." Ah Sa felt that the best part was seeing Tim Nau again because the first time she started filming, it was her that too good care of Gillian Chung and her.

Lead actress Sandra Ng just came back from Thailand, when asked about her opponent "72 Tenants of Prosperity" won by 3 million dollars, she said with a surprise: "They caught up pretty fast. Of course because their promotions are like hypnotic, having numerous sponsors, wallpapers. I am pretty surprised by this number, Eric got it right, really did earn 3 million." Asked if she's suspicious of the number? She said: "I never said that. It is the new year, don't fight. Both films had millions in the box office, which is good better than western films." She reveals that for Valentine's Day she ditched her daughter and went out for a candle light dinner with her boyfriend (Peter Chan) and received a huge batch of roses. Asked if her boyfriend proposed to her? She said: "No. He wanted to give me a diamond ring, but jewelry stores all closed due to the new year."

Kitty hopes for good health and satisfying love life because she's not as of now!

In the new mini series "Don Juan DeMercado", the story talks about Cho Lam taking the mysterious chocolate candies and turns into a handsome guy in 24 hours. In reality, Cho Lam and Kitty are satisfied with their appearance and don't need to take supplements. Kitty smiled: "Turn pretty? I don't need to because its only for a short period and is not real happiness. When you turn back to your old look, it is a bitter feeling!" Cho Lam agreed and said: "It is only because I have this appearance that I got to shoot this series. Otherwise how would I have anything to film! I am pretty satisfied with my appearance. Actually eating chocolate makes people happy, if there is such chocolates that could wipe away all the sadness, cure illness and my troubles then that be good." Kitty agreed that it be good if troubles could be wiped away by eating the chocolates.

Kitty also had another thought: "If the chocolates can read other people's minds, learning who is the 'human' and who is the 'ghost'. Actually people pretending to be 'ghost' are good, I don't want to fall for it."

Speaking of the Tiger year big plans, Cho Lam said: "My most perfect plan is if my dessert shop is profitable, then I can use that as a back up support in the future. Afterall, the entertainment circle is full of ups and downs. This year I got the chance to shoot films, series and sing songs becoming a Love Song Prince." For Kitty, it is the 10th anniversary of her and Sammy Leung's musical, she plans to make it a big celebration, hoping to invite good friends and many artists to attend.

Cho Lam is secretly having plans to save up for his 'wife money', "When there is good results in your career and when the right ages comes by, of course its time to think of the love life. I have always observed who are compatible candidates among my friends, I will put in much effort and planning for the future person. I worry that not many girls can handle it." Kitty heard what Cho Lam said, she laughed: "I'm saving a few boyfriends to be a Stamp Collector Actress. In TVB I met a few boys! (Is your love life stable?) Pretty ok! I am happy, but not satisfied."

Joey Yung: Past, Present and Future

Posted by Admin 0 comments
2009 marked Joey Yung's 10th year upon entering the entertainment industry, so 2010 is another important milestone. On the 4th day of the new year, she wishes everyone a prosperous new year of the tiger and teaches us to make a windmill for good luck.

Past: Transformation of a young singer

At the end of a great decade, 2010 is a new beginning for Joey. In 1999, she was still an unknown singer, but now she has transformed into today's most popular queen of pop, evident of her maturation and growth. "10 years ago, I was still a naive newcomer in the industry, filled with awe at every new experience. At the time, I didn't have any thoughts on my work, only listening to what my company told me to do. The young Joey sang slow love songs like "Pained Love", and it wasn't until after "Gorgeous Show" that I slowly added upbeat dance songs into my repertoire. As I grew, I became more familiar with my work environment and understood my needs, strengths and weaknesses, finally daring to voice my opinion on work. I remember at the very beginning, everyone laughed at my suggestions, but nobody's laughing now, they listen and adjust to me. That's why in my later songs, such as "Yellow Doorway", "Be True" and "Always See Angels", you can hear my inner thoughts and feelings in the lyrics.

Gained endless support...

An artist's success is seen in riches and fame; but what isn't seen, is the loss of freedom and the ability to return to the life of a normal person. To Joey, fame is not very valued, and her happiest gain coming out of the past 10 years is her large support group of good friends and fans.

"I am happiest about being able to meet such a group of good friends. I am a very self-protecting person, before deciding if they are worth being friends, I will observe someone for a long period of time. On the other hand, I am also very happy about garnering support from fans. Honestly, I am not a person with very many contributions, all I do is change a hobby into my work, hoping that a well performed song will bring pleasure to others and myself. It's very nice that everyone is willing to spend time to support me, to help me discover my inner strengths!"

...Lost time with family

"In the past 10 years, I have early starts and late returns, and am only able to have 8 - 10 days off a year. Luckily, I am still living with my mother at the moment, so we see each other at least once a day. I would say the biggest sacrifice is not being able to shop in MongKok, and not being able to window shop in the little boutiques!"

Now: Rediscovers the real her

10 years in the industry has made Joey Yung into the "big sister" at EEGMusic, a pop queen, and a talented and sought-after artist. Her success at work has made her more mature, and allowed her to reveal her truest self. "Right now, I feel like I really want to be brave and take that first step out on my own, but in reality I still need my company's protection, support and opinion.. so really I am still living in the greenhouse of my company. I'm a very practical person; after gaining everyone's love and favour, I didn't just relax and coast, instead I became afraid. I was worried that it would only be short-lived, and during that time I had a bit of negative press, so I was very careful of what I said and did. It became a bit too careful and I was very uncomfortable with myself then, it wasn't really me. The me now, is very relaxed and carefree, not worried about saying wrong things, since everyone has seen me grow up and knows what kind of person I am."

Awards are only a bonus

Joey also relaxes her view on music awards. "I still want to win awards, but I understand now that they are only a bonus, and they don't affect how others see me. What really affects me are my actions. If I win an award that I don't deserve, everyone will feel unhappy about my ability, so the most important thing is to sing well, and strive to improve continuously. A few years ago, I purposely tried to change myself, but now I feel the most important thing is to make good music, and not change just because. When you grow up slowly, just like a good song, the feeling, charm and interpretation will be different."

As the "big sister" at EEGMusic, when she sees newcomers such as Twins, Vincy Chan, Sherman Chung and William Chan, as long as she can help, she will. "I'm just a sister with more experience then them! I won't say that it's my way or the highway, because every artist is individual and special." Bringing up little sister Sherman Chung's hot song "Letter to Myself", Joey praised her unique image, saying that everyone should pay attention to such a talented singer.

Future: Slowed, in 10 years

In June of 2010, Joey will enter the big 30s, and in yet another 10 years, her 40s. "I think the me in 10 years will strive even harder for happiness, and my lifestyle then may be completely different from now. I want to have a normal lifestyle, invest in land to farm, try living overseas, learn other languages... anyway, I will spend more time on my self and with my family.

Believes the 40 year old her will not be living in the entertainment circle. "I won't stop singing! Long ago I knew that singign would be my lifelong work, only in 10 years I will slow down. I'm not a person of many words, songs are the best way I know how to express myself and my emotions, and allows me to connect with my fans. It's so great that I can produce a CD anytime I want. I will definitely not say that I will never get any more awards, and I won't refuse to sing; this kind of talk brings me no luck."

Love: Let fate decide

In the 10 years since her debut, the one relationship that everyone knows about is the one with Japanese Meter Chen, unfortunately it ended in a breakup. "Two people in a relationship need to be on the same page, or else there's no point wasting everyone else's time. After that time, I didn't date again, it's not that I didn't meet people who I had feelings for, but there was no continuation. Feelings need to be mutually understood, which is not easy. Even if I want to develop the feelings, my work schedule makes that near impossible for me, but I believe that I will eventually find my happiness, as to whether or not I actually do, it's up to fate.

Don't think that as the Queen of Pop, she's not forward. Joey says that if she meets her soulmate, she won't mind being the pursuer, and will definitely spend lots of time on the relationship. "I am someone who doesn't know how to conceal my feelings, I haven't found someone who I want to reveal my feelings to. Although the work circle makes it hard to meet new friends, I'm not in any rush to date, I will patiently wait for fate to bring someone. Maybe the janitor who cleans my house one day will be my soulmate!"

Ideal partner needs to be charismatic

To gain Joey's liking is not difficult. You just need to be charismatic, mature, and caring.. oh, and obviously have chemistry with her. "I don't mind what the talent is in, as long as it's in some kind of industry where he is passionate, I will admire him. If he is a super good janitor, I could still like him! I really dislike those people with no direction, with no achievements! Good looking? They are hard to find, however, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as long as the other person is someone you like, even if they have bad skin and looks, you will still see their strengths.

Protects voice, drinks nourishments like water

Entering the industry in 1999, Joey's voice encountered a setback only 2 years later in 2001, causing her work to be cancelled for half a year. After she recovered, her work resumed it's constant pace. As a result, whenever a singer friend has the same problem, they will ask Joey for tips on voice care. "I'm like a voice spokesperson, whenever someone has something wrong with their vocals, they will come find me; maybe everyone thinks I have some secret techniques! Actually, everyday my mother cooks nourishments such as apple pear water, figs and fungus soup etc. which I drink like water."

Michelle Yim continues to stay strong bows thanking everyone for their concern

Posted by Admin 0 comments
The day before yesterday Wan Chi Keung passed away, Wan Lo's younger sister described her "sister-in-law" Michelle Yim to be one strong woman, bravely facing the fact and held a press conference on behalf of Wan Lo to thank all walks of life. Although she forced a smile, but even her sunglasses could not hide her swollen eyes from crying...

Wan Lo suffered from nasopharyngeal cancer for 18 years and eventually lost to the illness, fortunately there is Michelle to stick by his side for the last half of his life.

Yesterday, Michelle held a press conference, Wan Lo's nephew Edmond Leung along with his 20 member soccer team, Wan Lo's good friend Lee Chi Hung, Chung Chi Kwong and teammate Chan Fat Chi, Yan Lik Kin arrived at the scene to support her. The press conference attracted hundreds of reporters, but no questions were asked, only allowed Michelle, Edmond and good friends to expressed their current feeling. The conference only lasted for about 10 minutes.

Wearing sunglasses and little make-up, Michelle appeared with Wan Lo's younger sister Connie because there was a large number of audiences at the scene, it took a minute for everything to settle down when Michelle tried to maintain order. She strongly held in her pain and forced a smile as she expressed with a stutter: "On behalf of Wan Lo, I thank everyone's concern and for God to give him such a generous life, bringing an optimistic and joyful personality. He left in peace, with courage and strength. His bravery and powerful spirit towards life will forever be in my heart and I will forever remember him. God will definitely have the best arrangement for good people, we will forever remember him! Truly thankful to fans, doctors, medical employees and all of the Media for the love. Michelle let out sad sobs twice as she bowed to all of the audience thanking them.

Also, Wan Lo's younger sister Connie referred Michelle as "sister-in-law", Michelle's assistant Ms. Hung responded on behalf of them: "The Wan family had always called her by that that, but if they really registered for marriage, they do not know." As for reports saying that when Wan Lo passed away, he only weighed 80 pounds, Ms. Hung denied and said that he was over 100 pounds when he left.

After the press conference, Michelle, Connie, Wan Lo's other sister and two close male friends went to Fu Shan to identify the body. The two sisters started sobbing. After that, Wan Lo's two sisters were leaving and was asked how Wan Lo's funeral will be arranged? They only said: "Let sister-in-law handle it. ("Sister-in-Law" meaning Michelle Yim?) Yes Yes!" Then the group left in a car.

Baby transforms into ChocolateBaby

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Angelababy transformed into a ChocolateBaby when she wore the Chocolate Dress design from one of Lady Gaga's designers, Petra Storrs, while dripping with chocolate sauce, for a photoshoot. The photos will be showcased at the Harbor City Art Show. This time's photoshoot was an unforgettable experience for Baby, who spent the hours from 10pm until 4am wearing a 10lb necklace and covered in chocolate sauce from head to toe.

Baby expressed that the first look was "Dark Chocolate", and she happily changed into a little Thai lady... until the workers climbed a tall ladder to dump a bucket of chocolate sauce on her, at which point in time she loudly expressed her nervousness.

Chocolate sauce stings eyes, causes tears

In the cold winter, Baby was asked to shoot at a 15 degree room with chocolate sauce poured from head to toe. The chocolate sauce entered her eyes and caused tears to flow constantly, while her face was completely covered in the brown sauce. She had to pose nonstop for the camera until it was a wrap, at which time four workers accompanied her to the showers to wash the chocolate off her dress. Baby laughed that it was the first time so many people had accompanied her for a shower. When she finally returned home, she spent another two hours showering but still felt engulfed by the chocolatey smell. Luckily, she enjoys eating chocolate on a regular basis, but decided that a chocolate facial was something best experienced only once.

Raymond Lam most popular in all three fields of TV, Music, Movies

Posted by Admin 0 comments
For the Tiger year, Raymond Lam will be developing in all three industries (TV, Music, Movies) making him the most popular person in all three fields, automatically having a profitable year. Raymond earning money does not forget to treat his family well. He decides to spend 6 figures on red envelopes this year. Known as a filial son, he hopes that his 90+ year old grandmother has good health and that he and his family has a smooth year of the tiger.

Raymond said: "This new year will be very full. I will be shooting new films "Emerald Pearl" and "Perfect Wedding" with Charlene Choi and Miriam Yeung respectatively. I am also starting to record for my Mandarin album. In March, I will start on a new series, it is truly a year of TV, Music and Movies all at once. I hope that there will be enough time to accommodate all of it. (Have any time to spend the new year with family?) Yes, on the first three days of new year I have a break. I really hope that my grandmother is healthy because earlier she carelessly fell, very dangerous, but fortunately she was able to recover. I also hope that my whole family is safe and sound. In the past, we would go back to our home in Xiamen to spend the new year, but this year my parents have to take care of my grandmother, so we will be staying in Hong Kong this year."

He smiled and said that last year he focused on singing, had an opportunity to earn RMB, it is the most profitable year. With more income, will you add to the red envelope give out? Raymond said: "Honestly, every year I do add to it, just last year I wasn't weak, this year I estimate 6 figures. Sometimes it is not just during new years that you treat elders well, must always be filial to family, I would invite my family out for dinner to celebrate." Do you do any investments? "I do buy property for investment, but I don't know how to work with other investments, usually leave that for my family to handle."

After winning TVB's "Asia-Pacific Most Popular Male Singer" award, he charged into the film scene, he never thought of winning film awards because he's still a newcomer in the industry. Wan Chi-Keung leaves this world, Michelle Yim no regrets

Posted by Admin 0 comments
"Asia's Number One Center" said Wan Chi-Keung (Wan Lo) passed away yesterday morning with his beloved Michelle Yim and family sending him off on his last trip. Although Wan Lo was not able to fulfill his marriage dream, his most love Michelle was his side for the last half of his life, giving love and warmth! Yesterday the busy Michelle ran around making the funeral arrangements, but she was still very professional and went back to start her new series today, showing off her strong "inner" personality, Wan Lo left with no regrets!

Michelle and Wan Chi Keung's love relationship has surpassed a normal relationship as they started dating from 1984 until now, 26 years. From 2001, Wan Lo started referring Michelle as "My wife" and it was said that the couple secretly went to take wedding photos, proving that their relationship is more deep and spiritual rather than counting on a marriage certificate.

For a "heroic" story and to hold up her boyfriend's "a person take the initiative", Michelle did not suffer the pain of losing a loved one, the first thing she did was put all her feelings away and made the funeral arrangements with Wan Lo's family members. After that, she decided to continue with her current jobs, according to the producer of "Woman's Most Pain" (Lam Chi Wah) in which Michelle is part of the cast for, reveals that she was back to work today, he did not dare to give any strong praise on Michelle's professionalism: "She understands that we have to start filming today. In order to not bother her, we did not arrange any visiting the sets. (Did she request for a break?) She is very strong, she did not request for and break time, she didn't want to affect the filming schedule, really professional!"

It is understood that last month Wan Lo's condition was getting severe as he was bedridden, Michelle stood by his side taking care of him while working. On the second day of Chinese New Years, "都市閒 情" broadcast where she went to sing CNY song in Central, planned to release a birthday song and a newly wed song. During the time, she did not reveal any sign of sadness, professionally taking it all in.

Michelle and Wan Lo have been dating for several years and have always had a stable relationship. In 1992, it was confirmed that Wan Lo was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, making it the greatest challenge for the couple. The test lasted for 18 years, it was said that Wan Lo didn't want Michelle to worry about him, so he did not tell her about the cancer, preferring to suffer the illness alone at home. Later when Michelle found out, not only was she not upset, but she was very considerate towards her boyfriend: "I saw him having to take care of himself, I felt that I did not do enough." As Michelle had always did whatever she could to take care of him, besides sticking by his side, she also went around looking for famous doctors to treat this type of cancer, hoping for a chance for recovery.

At the end of 2008, there were numerous rumors going around that Wan Lo's condition worsen. It was said that besides flying over to take care of her boyfriend, Michelle also cooked for him, brought all his daily necessities and supplements to maintain his health. Actually Michelle taking care of Wan Lo is very hard on her because for many years she had to face the many rumors alone and had to help Wan Lo clarify his condition. Not only that, Michelle also invested millions over the year trying to find every way to help Wan Lo recover, but in April 2009, it was rumored that the couple good friends from the entertainment circle including Alan Tam and Eric Tsang raised two million dollars to help pay for the medical bills. Michelle strongly denied grief, fortunately Alan and Eric were able to stand up for her giving her their support. Michelle has a high level personality and she is being misunderstood!

Besides Michelle being extremely loyal to Wan Lo, their relationship often attracts the public's attention. Wan Lo had always said that he wanted to marry Michelle to be his lawful wife and often confessed his love and commitment and even proposed. Michelle once laughed during an interview: "Every time we encounter a happy event, he would always say 'how about we get marry!'." Although the couple never got to become husband and wife in the end, but in order to fulfill Wan Lo's dreams of having her as his wife, in 2008 Michelle secretly took traditional Chinese wedding photos in the exact style that Wan Lo dreamed of. Actually a marriage certificate does not really mean anything to Michelle: "No marriage means that we can spend everyday feeling like its the first love."

Baby receives the New Year with a cold, forgets past love troubles

Posted by Admin 0 comments
HK "leng mou" (models) still garner attention in the New Year, and heartbroken Angelababy is no different with a tissue up her nose, nor is "Canon Goddess" Evelyn. Even Elizabete Kwong announced that she will star in a Japanese drama, and Adrienne Lau has successfully broken into the Hong Kong entertainment circle. The modelling world has a whole new outlook, and is filled with lots of hope.

Last year, Angelababy (Yang Wing) and William (Chan Wai Ting) had been hitting it off with flying sparks, treating their public displays of affection with laughter and tease. Baby even exposed herself that she would be spending Lunar New Year with her boyfriend's family, however this year, the situation is completely different. The year of the tiger coincided with Valentine's Day, and for the single Baby, it was only a sad day, so she decided to return to her hometown to avoid it while experiencing her grandma's outstanding Shanghai dishes to heal her hurt feelings.

Praises grandmother's hand at cooking

Although Baby has a slender frame, her eating habits are contrary and even alarming to bystanders. Early in the year, she was with her grandmother in Shanghai and often ate meals with around 20 relatives. She would eat the delicious dishes her grandmother made at a crazy rate; unfortunately Baby revealed that both she and her mom did not inherit half the cooking skills. Having not been "home" for new years' countdown, she expressed that she misses the fireworks the most, although she only plays with the little fireworks due to having not enough courage.

Returning home to visit her grandma, Baby is naturally very happy. She posted many laughing photos of herself on her website, such as having to stick tissue up her nose as punishment for losing at a game, totally dropping her goddess image. Also, earlier she helped promote her short clip "Birth of a goddess", which has already started airing. In the clip, Baby generously gives a flying kiss, and dons a tattoo-like image on her shoulder, which her manager Kim explained only as a special effect.

Looking to play a pained love part

Baby honestly admitted that her breakthrough last year in the Japanese market was a success and the money has been rolling in; but she hasn't forgotten her filial side and gave large red packets to her mother and father this year. She revealed her plans for the new year. "I want to release a Japanese album, while in Hong Kong retaining a focus on acting, and I'm hoping to act in some roles with life-or-death situations, allowing me to act in expressions of pain. I hope to gain new experiences to give me new ways of looking at situations."
