Ella Koon attended the closing ceremony of Hong Kong Asia Film Festival 2010. Because her film (Dong Feng Bo) also held their premiere at the same time, Ella only invited her family to support at the event, her boyfriend was no where to be seen. She was asked if she is not treating her boyfriend as "family"? Ella joked and said, "It's still long way to go to be someone's wife!" (Longing for an award based on the movie?) "I haven't thought of it, but if there is an award it means our acting is recognised, I'll be very happy."
