It is actually also Myolie's tenth year in the entertainment industry after taking part in Miss Hong Kong and having gone through hardship and joy, Myolie would now like to talk about "Love".

10 years of ups and downs

In the recent years, Myolie's acting skills have gained the "recognition" of many and have even been made fun of by internet users. In actual fact, do many still remember that Myolie had performed outstandingly in the Q & A segment in Miss Hong Kong where she put up a face changing performance? And subsequently when she was given many breakthrough roles, she was also the main topic of discussion of many. But facing the facts of life, Myolie is still able to stay optimistic and have gone through ten years of ups and downs in her career.

"I still really love acting, and I'm lucky to be able to have so many different kinds of roles for me to develop my acting. If you ask about the most memorable drama, it would definitely be "Golden Faith" in 2002 where I acted as a mentally retarded girl in the show. When I was filming this role, I have only joined this circle not long ago and nobody thought that I would be able to play this kind of role well. Therefore, my role in "Golden Faith" is considered a role where many would start to know and recognise me for my acting skills and being an actress. The role was really a very challenging role to a newcomer like me then and I may not even have a chance to act this kind of role in the future! And for the most unforgettable working partner, it definitely has to be Liza Jeh! She really takes good care of the younger generation and I have learnt a lot from her.

As for the most embarrassing thing that has happened to me in these ten years of being in this industry, there are actually quite a number of embarrasing things. Haha. One of the most unforgettable one happened during one of the year's Anniversary performance. I was going to perform a dance and when I was already standing by at the backstage and doing some warm up exercises, I accidentally ripped my skirt! That time there was about only 1 minute before I was suppose to perform and I was super tensed and nervous! I quickly changed into another skirt and manage to get onto stage on time to perform. I had to stay calm!

On the other hand, there are of course many happy times and things. Besides winning 2nd Runner-up during Miss Hong Kong, you can say that the happiest thing is that I am able to become a singer and even release my own album. There are very little who become a singer after they have been in this industry for nine years and this is a very rare and precious chance to me!

A singer in the music industry

Early this year, Myolie had expressed that she would like to break away from the newcomer status and its benefits and "shield". Now that she has released her 2nd album and the album shares her feelings and take on love, this may be her first step by laying the foundation.

The theme of her album this time is "Loveholic", that is for those who love to be in love and she would like to share the different stages of love with everyone. A big portion of the album are slow songs which portray hurt that love can bring. It is somewhat like the hurtful stuffs that occur during a love journey and these experiences may cause everyone to understand and sob together! Among the 6 Cantonese songs and 1 Chinese song, we would like to bring out the stronger nature and character of a woman, and this more or less has a personal touch of my own character, just like how I would give my all to love a person and would also hope to get the same back from the other party, but experience would tell me that there is actually no gurantee that you will receive 100% of what you have given the other party. Since things would not work out, it is best to just end the relationship on a peaceful note.

Besides slow moving love songs, there is also a song composed by Peter Kam. The song composed by Peter Kam is a more light-hearted song. I also love the duet which I have done with Chilam. Recently, I also have a special affinity with Chilam because we would be going to Hokkaido to film a drama and I would be a couple with him in the show too. Actually the happiest thing this time in releasing this album is that I am able to work with people that I have never worked with before like Peter Kam, Endy Chow, Keith Chan etc. Through them writing songs for me, I am able to learn about the different sides of me and even discovering the different sides of me that I have not even realise and know!

Skin care for all seasons

The long-awaited breezy and cooling season is finally here! While enjoying the autumn breeze, a person also has to take care of her skin from becoming too dry, Myolie has some tips for all.

The weather nowadays has indeed become very dry and having to fly to Hokkaido in addition to film a drama, I have stepped up measures in taking care of my skin by applying more mask and the brand that I've always liked to use, ISQUEEN, has really not bad detoxifying masks. As products of their brand uses mainly pure minerals, therefore the level of content of minerals in the products are very beneficial to the skin. The product that I like to use most is the purifying lotion. Applying it after rinsing your face is the first step in taking care of your skin. In addition, as the skin around the eyes are exeptionally delicate and soft, I would also especially use eye gel to maintain the skin, this also helps to prevent dark eye circles and wrinkles.

I remember 10 years ago when Myolie had won 2nd Runner-up in Miss Hong Kong, that time, I was also watching the TV. Comparing the chubby and bubbly Myolie in the past with the Myolie now, she has become so much more feminine. Besides her appereance that have changed, she has also improved walking in heels. On the day of this photoshoot, she was wearing a 6 inch high heels and was still able to carry herself well. Before changing for the photoshoot, the heels she was wearing was around 5 inches high, all the working crew were had admiration for her.
