As the year is coming to an end, TVB releases a brand new heartwarming comedy, A Chip Off The Old Block, using time-travel as its main theme and bringing the audience back to Hong Kong in the 1960s with the main characters in the drama. It'll detailedly portray the rick humaneness and lifestyle traits in the society back then, thus complementing the so-called 'retro trend' in today's society. The story has both father and son, Chor Fun and Chor Ci, as the main characters, portraying out the generation gap between both of them. However, no matter how many differences or conflicts, the father-son relationship will not be broken. They will still care for each other in the heart. The new drama has both laughter and melancholy, integrating both the modern feel and the old days of Hong Kong. It's definitely a choice for the old and young.

This drama has Ron Ng, Sunny Chan and Myolie Wu as the main cast. After War and Destiny in 2007, the three of them are working together again, and evidently have more chemistry. In the new drama, they'll be challenging new roles. No matter for costumes and images, or speech and actions, they manage to enact out the likeness of the 1960s/1970s characters in the classic TV series, Old Time Buddy.

Myolie Wu acts as So Fung Nei, who's a love con-artist. She specially conned the rich businessmen's money. She had many different images, giving a refreshing feeling to the audience. Fung Nei often made use of Chor Fun's kind-heartedness, and even found him to act as a fake married couple with her to help her to cover up her romance with another wealthy businessman. After being together for some time, Fung Nei unexpectedly got touched by Chor Fun's loyalty, honesty and kindness. Thus she unconsciously fell for him. At the same time, the rich young mistress, Leung Pin Pin (acted by Nancy Wu), also developed feelings for Chor Fun. Thus a hilarious love triangle started since then.

A Chip Off The Old Block is a heartwarming and relaxing comedy. It will revive the collective memories of the Hong Kong audience. This drama will be aired from 30/11/09 onwards, so do not miss it!
