Interview at CRHK
Saturday, September 26, 2009
Miriam accepted interview at CRHK yesterday and said her new album titled "Actually I Have Been Happy" will be released on 16th Oct. For almost 2 months, Miriam had stopped work due to problems with her voice and only managed to complete her album recording recently. But Leon Lai had helped her chosen her songs quickly and Lin Jiayue listened to her news songs, suggested that she should sing songs that suits her current mind state. Lin Xi had been invited to write "Actually I Have Been Happy" a continuation of "Goodbye 2nd Avenue" to talk about her moving to another stage in life.Miriam admits life before marriage hasn't been too satisfied as there are ups and downs in her work and emotion. Perhaps she was too young to have enough experience to handle things, so she kept upgrading herself, turns disappointment and loneliness as life experience. Until now she met someone, there's even bigger motivation in life.
Is she happier after marriage? Miriam said, "Hm, actually it's not only because I've had a partner. I used to think for myself and family when I was alone last time, but now two person are living together will need more consideration." More responsibilities? Miriam admits, "It's better. I won't be drifting here and there that easily. More stable in the mind state. It's like making an album, I used to think a dollar less will mean to earn a dollar less and sees production cost importantly. But this time I can do it in relax mode." Reporters teased her for having no worries now that she has a husband. Miriam said, "Yes, it feels more settled after marriage." But Miriam insisted she has yet to think of having babies. She feels having children can still be an artiste but seeing Kelly Chen still misses her son during work, she feels it'll still affect work. Perhaps she will have a different thinking at a later stage.
Miriam will be busy promoting her new album and her new movie directed by Edward Pang. She'll play a cometic counter salesgirl who has phobia of marriage. Reporters said she's having a sweet and happy married life and doesn't tally with her role. Is she worried she can't carry off the role? Miriam said she'll definitely be able to act it out even if she's married. Actually the change is not big to her. She's more matured and dependable but the feeling of pursuing love is still there so she can continue experiencing different love stories in movies.
