Steven Ma attended the "Annual Chin Picnic National Day Carnival" as a special guest at the Canadian National Exhibition on 1st July. The local TV station has been showing Steven's "A Journey Called Life" at the moment. The day before, Steven had a press conference and an autograph session, and the local fans followed him from there to the exhibition center. When Steven arrived at the exhibition center, a lot of people were there to greet him. The audience were trying to shake hand with him that they were pushing at each other. Although it was a chaotic scene, Steven was very excited for the hospitality he received.Apart from two TV series theme songs that he performed, he also sang the Cantonese Classic opera "Princess Chang Ping"(帝女花之香夭) with Yip Tse Ching, daughter of Louise Lee. Although Steven was absolutely soaked with his sweat while he was singing, he was very touched to see the warmth that the audience gave him. After the event, he was invited to have a game of badminton as well as tasting the local cuisine with Tse Ching and friends. Steven told reporter "I am much happier spending Canada Day in Toronto than Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. This is because I am able to watch the firework as well as buying and lighting my own firework."
