Complaints on Bosco Wong's role in "BF3" bad influence on children
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
The Broadcast Authority (BA) expressed that within the last week, there were two complaints received regarding TVB's series "Burning Flames 3". Someone was not satisfied with the language used by one of the characters in the series, it is a bad influence on children. To the BA's understandings, a person working in the ambulance service was dissatisfied with Bosco Wong's character as a fireman. When the female police officer Aimee Chan slapped him, he shouted: "I'm about to faint! I need to call the ambulance!" This line will cause misunderstandings to citizens on the purpose of calling an ambulance, therefore a complaint was filed. Yesterday Bosco responded to the complaint: "There will be mistakes, I hope we are forgiven, there is definitely no intention to teach people wrongly."
As for "Beautiful Cooking" which also received 4 complaints saying that the clothing was too revealing, lowering the status of women. Other complaints said that food is wasted and that is a bad influence on children. ATV's "Asian Millionstar" received one complaint of discrimination.
