This year's Miss Hong Kong contestants have been referred to as the worst bunch in standards. A contestant that looked more appealing nicknamed "Fake Niki Chow" real name Suey Ho Nga Ching decided to leave the Pageant at the last minute. But she stated that she didn’t regret her decision. She frankly said that it a was a rare opportunity for her to earn more money.

Suey Ho, who is currently 22 years old successfully made it through to the Miss Hong Kong Pre-selection interviews. But she didn’t want the Miss Hong Kong contract to tie her down for 1 year. The contract states that she is not allowed to accept work outside the contract that involves entertainment. In the end she decided to leave the pageant and gave up on the chance of being crowned the title. Suey said "I don't regret what I did. At first I just wanted to learn more but I didn't know I had to sign such an contract. I already accepted work for modelling which would last for a 1 month period in Macau. In addition, Miss Hong Kong has always focused on qualifications. But I have only graduated from Form 5. My education compared to others could have affected my chances. That is why I feel opportunities in earning money is more important.

This year a contestant that didn't make pass the interviews wrote a email to complain about the judges lacking politeness. But Suey said "I am very direct person. A judge asked me if I slim down easily? That is a hint that I have gained some weight. But I feel it's OK”. Suey who has a straight forward personality doesn't mind being criticized. She is willing to accept feedback. "I love to eat, I love cheese cake and ice cream. I can't resist it. But in order to work in this industry I will try hard to lose weight".

Pageant Winner becomes a Cook

Suey entered the modelling industry this year. She was crowned the title of Cover Girl. She has also previously entered the "Beautiful Cooking Contest".
