Eason Chan had accepted an interview with the commercial radio yesterday. Recently there are rumors that Peter Lam (林建岳) wanted to recruit Eason whose contract is due for renewal, for $40 million HKD to East Asia Record Production Ltd. Eason was asked if his contract expires in August. He replied "Not really!" In fact Eason expressed that although he doesn't actually know a lot about his contract, he knows it is not due for renewal this year. Eason laughed "$40 million sounds very attractive, but for how many years? (maybe 2 years) If it is for 2 years, don't you think it should be more?"

Eason was asked how much he thinks is a reasonable sum, he expressed that he doesn't know. Eason went on to say that he only has a few more years to earn money, and right now he is at the height of his career. Unless he is like Jacky Cheung, still performing his 100 concert at the age of 46. Having said that, not many people could do that. He was asked again if Peter has approached him yet, Eason said he does bump into him on a number of occasions, and he praised Peter as a very good boss. Eason reckoned money is a very important factor and he would consider it very carefully. He has, however thought about having his name in the list of "Forbes" famous people or top 10 high earner for the artist. He is hoping his name would be next to Jet Li, Chow Yan Fat and Stephen Chow etc. Eason pointed out that in reality, he is far from it and dare not set that goal.

Speaking about the recent rumor that Eason doesn't have bath everyday, even his wife doesn't know about it. Eason responded that his wife has her own time schedule everyday, he is not surprised that she doesn't know if he has a bath or not. He went on to say that he often gets home very late, and he doesn't want to make too much noise to wake the family up, therefore, he usually waits till the morning to have bath. Eason explained "If I must have a bath every 24 hours, than I can tell you, I can't. Maybe every 36 hours, or every 8 hours. But I wash my hands frequently and I always cover my mouth when I sneeze."
