Kelvin Kwan announces that he will leave the entertainment industry for a long period

Kevin Kwan who was detained in Tokyo for drugs possession held his first press conference today since returning to Hong Kong and made a public apology. He stated that he needs time to reflect and reform himself. He will leave the entertainment industry for a long period of time. He will take responsibilty for his own actions and for society, putting his actions into use to make up for his mistakes. Kelvin stressed that he arrived back in Hong Kong a few days ago because Japanese police had finished his part of the investigation. They decided to not press charges against him and he was released not guilty. He didn't leave with a criminal record. "I was not deported from the airport exit, I left Japan freely."
During the press conference, Kelvin apologised to the Hong Kong people, media, record company, family and his fans. He said the incident that happened in Japan had caused many people dissapointment and sadness. "I am really sorry".
Kelvin said while being detained for 1 month he realises the importance of a person's character and the value of freedom. Young teenagers will praise and copy their idols. He hope's the incident will educate the young generation to focus on the importance of their personal character's. He also hope they will cherish their health, value their life and stay away from drugs.
He expressed that as a singer he will choose to take responsibilty for the incident and has decided to reform himself. "To be a person of good character and a singer that will abide by the law." Jill Vidal who is still being detained in Japan. He felt worried and hopes she will return to Hong Kong soon so that she can reunite with her family.
After he made his statement he did not answer any reporters questions and immediately left the premises.
