Jill's father Joey Vidal refuses to answer any questions
Jill Vidal who is detained in Japan for cannabis possession will have her first court hearing tommorow. Jill's father and record company launched a "Save Jill campaign" yesterday. First they went to the Police Station and then met up with Jill. Jill and her father seemed worlds apart and cried endlessly. Jill said to her father "I am worried I won't be able to return home". Twin sister Janice stayed in Hong Kong. Not sure whether she felt Jill's discomfort that she cancelled all her recording work.
Yesterday evening Jill's father Joey Vidal, Manager Joe Chan and Amusic Media Director Miss Shum flew to Japan . Jill's father appeared very down and refused to answer any questions. After many attempts by the paparazzi's Jill's father finally said a few words to the media. He said "I can't say anything, not now." The reporters asked Manager Joe Chan whether Janice had asked him to pass a message to Jill? He said "It's in their hearts."
Jill and father communicate in English
Due to both of them seeing each other after 58 days, both appeared to be very emotional. Manager Joe Chan revealed that Jill and her father both cried and communicated in English. When Jill said "I am worried I can't return home", both of them cried endlessly. Joe encouraged Jill to believe in her lawyer. He will also pray with Jill's father.
Learning Japanese and doing Yoga
As for Jill's jail life, Joe Chan stated that her life was much better than he though it would be. He said "Jill is just very tired, she has put on weight. But her mood is calmer. Jill is currently learning Japanese, doing yoga and exercise. Although Jill has made a big mistake, the Japanese police have been treating her well. Japanese police even praised Jill for her good behaviour and being hard working". When the reporters asked about the case, Joe stated that it was incovenient to reveal anything. Jill's lawyer will handle the matters and hopes that he can help Jill. Afterwards Joe Chan, Jill's father and Miss Shum returned to the hotel. Miss Shum also expressed that Jill's father will not be leaving the hotel premises.
A spokeperson for Janice stated that due to a producer having other work the recording session was cancelled, however things should resume back to normal today.
