We felt puzzled for the changes in Tavia Yeung. Have Tavia changes her nature? “Haha.. I did not go for sexy route. I just did not want to limit a girl’s image.” Tavia said that her image always not matched with girlish image and therefore, peoples will not give her names like queen of coy, sly and cunning spirit.

Appeared on newspaper with the help of high management

There was one time where Tavia appeared in a dinner banquet with Mr Steven Chan and this had attracted newspaper reports of her and the title was “Attended high management’s dinner to gain awards”. We still remember that other female artistes that involved before were Charmaine Sheh, Gigi Lai, Kenix Kwok and other fa dans. No wonder Tavia Yeung immediately was seen as Best Actress’s black horse. “Haha... Thanks for the supports that everyone gave me. I was overjoyed at this unexpected news as I was not outstanding all these years. I know that a lot of netizens said that I did very well but I really fight seriously because I was filming Sweetness in the Salt at the same time as Moonlight Resonance. I was in a tired state. There was 1 time when we were filming group scene, I fell asleep when the camera was rolling. Luckily director understood and never scolded me. I did not have time to read scripts too and when Lau Ka Hou, the producer asked me whether I had finished reading the scripts, I could only say sorry.”

“Most funny thing was when I was in outdoor filming car with Moses. He wanted to borrow scripts from me and when I wanted to bend down to take scripts that time, I fell asleep. When I woke up and asked him whether he had finished reading the scripts or not, he laughed and said, “You did not give me yet. How am I going to read?” [Really embarrassing!] I could only say that my performance was entirely OK. Awards, of course I want. Everyone also wants to win lottery. However, I’m a realistic person. If that thing is yours, then nobody can fight for it. It is just like the ending of Moonlight Resonance. If you are deserved for it, then you will get it. If not, then you are not going to get it. Audiences will know how to see the most important things.

Not nice to have brother-sister love relationship

“This time no need to be bullied by people and it was different with those pitiful roles that I did before. This was also my first time quarrel with senior actress and pulled each others’ hairs. I felt that Suzanna Kwan really put a lot of her efforts into her role. Her harsh look made me wonder how come there was such an irritating person! But when the director shouted CUT, she immediately smiled back. Her memory was very good and her lines were a lot more compared to everybody. When we were resting and eating, she hided herself and read aloud her lines. I think she was the one with most pressures.” This “Lo Lui”, other than used in “Gam Family”, it also left behind a string of her relationship with “Ah Ka”. “It looked like Korean drama because there were a lot of brother-sister love relationships with no blood relations. At first, I felt a bit weird and struggled over it. Family was very important for “Ah Yuet”. Even though she loves the person, she will only keep it in heart and felt that it was not nice to have brother-sister love relationship. But at last everyone knew it because it was disclosed by other people.

Would not hidebound by convention

Fala Chen was a newbie in TVB and took a sexy route and she had a fresh look to audience. Tavia Yeung who entered this industry for 8 years was just lacked of topics. Not only Fala, there are other challengers like Kate Tsui, Linda Chung, Suki Chui, Vivien Yeo etc. All of them came from beauty pageant. They have look, figures and also rumours. Although they were not like Tavia who entered TVB training class for acting training, a nice figure was more efficient than a nice word. Will you feel losing out? “I did not feel losing out. In 10 beauty pageants, have you seen a fa dan that came from training class? Other than me, I think no one else. I’m proud that I could start from bottom. I will not ask for high popularity and as long as audiences remember me, that is enough.”

“Actually I did change a lot in these 2 years. Especially I had adjusted my sexy limit. Last time, I set a lot of limitations for myself. When shooting photos, I told media that no strap blouse, shoulder revealing clothes, short skirts and short trousers for me because I did not have confidence. I felt that my shoulder and leg not nice. This might due to the reason that I’m a Virgo. I dared not show out something that I felt not perfect. I knew that a lot of people laughed at me being old-fashioned and outdated. There were even peoples said that if I entered this industry in the 70’s/80’s, this type would work. Of course I did feel unhappy. I knew that I must change. I would not hidebound by convention anymore.

Being accused of doing plastic surgery for nose and breast

Tavia attended a program “Cannot be lazy to be a beauty” and expressed that she nearly gone crazy in the process of changing. “When I had time, I went to beauty centre to do face and body firming, whitening and spots reducing. At home, I followed procedures for skincare. I learnt to match clothes from Japan magazine. Recently, I saw reports said that I did plastic surgery for nose and breast. Really thanks to them as they were praising me. But I really did not do any plastic surgery before. It was just that nobody noticed me last time.” But her chest size did increased was a fact. Really never do anything?

“Honestly, sometimes I will use Nu Bra. However, all these while I was not laundry board. It was just that I covered up a lot last time. Now I had slimmed down and increased my confidence and did not mind to expose a bit for other people to see. However, I accepted low chest didn’t mean that I had turned into a very open-minded person. I just hope that my images can be more wide and broad. I even saw before some female artistes tried to lose up their clothes and purposely over-exposed their body just to take a photo. When I returned to home, I was thinking, was there really a need to suffer and put down self-respect like that? I know there is a lot of ways to outstand. Please do not think that I’m pure or foolish, but I rather give way to them.”

Rumoured dated Lam Wai Kit for 4 years

It was rumoured that Tavia Yeung’s real boyfriend is 200 pound village gentleman, Lam Wai Kit. Although there were many times when reporters found out that they dated secretly, but she insisted that the other party was not her boyfriend.

When asked about her first love, she said, “First love? That time was Secondary Three. He was my school senior, a sunshine type of boy. Actually I fell in love secretly on him first. But I had forgotten how we got together and how we separated. Do I need to tell out these things?” To tell out or not doesn’t matter anymore. Most important is we can be sure that for Tavia, love is not as important as Ms Virginia Lok. Tavia Yeung was rumoured dated fatty boyfriend for 4 years already and no other rumours at the same time. Really a sincere and reliable girlfriend.
