Christine Kuo (Toronto) is crowned Miss Chinese International 2009

Miss Chinese International Pageant 2009 was held in Foshan, Guangdong this evening. The hosts were Eric Tsang and Derek Li. Special guests include Ron Ng, Bosco Wong, Grace Wong, Carlo Ng, Miriam Yeung and Leo Ku.
#24 Christine Kuo the hot favourite was crowned Miss Chinese International 2009. She is a business planner, 25 years old, fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese. She was born in Taiwan but went to Canada when she was 12 years old. Edelweiss Cheung who withdrew from taking part in the pageant because of poor health conditions was replaced by #10 Skye Chan to represent Hong Kong. She received the Miss Friendship award and was also awarded 1st Runner up.
#26 Cici Chen representing Vancouver was awarded 2nd Runner up.
Also Leo Ku and Miriam Yeung performed a duet together but suddenly it was cut due to commericals. Netizens felt that TVB did not respect their performance. Leo stated that he knows live shows can sometimes over run and understands why TVB did that.
