The 44 Year Old Lawrence Ng has became a father yesterday. Mrs Ng have successfully gave birth to a girl at 2.30PM yesterday noon in Beijing's Wuzhou Female Hospital. City Telecom (HK), the second- biggest provider of fixed-line phone services to Hong Kong homes, said chairman Ricky Wong takes over as chief executive officer at local broadcaster Asia Television with immediate effect.

Wong will remain chairman and an executive director at City Telecom, according to a statement.

Asia Television, partly owned by ABN Amro, is boosting spending on digital programming as it aims to gain market share from Television Broadcasts, Hong Kong's biggest TV company.

Wong will reduce his involvement at City Telecom, the phone carrier said.

Television Broadcasts, controlled by 101-year-old chairman Run Run Shaw, had 73 percent of Hong Kong's TV advertising market last year, almost four times more than Asia Televisions

Myolie Wu will be holding her first mini-concert in Sands, Macau tomorrow night. A few days ago, she was in a dance studio rehearsing for her dances in San Po Kong. Although they are mostly slow songs in the album which was released at the end of last month, in order to lift up the atmosphere, Myolie has arranged a fast, hot song track to fit in the dancing component.

Myolie only spent a few hours to complete the entire dance practice. She owes such a fast speed of completion to the previous time when she took part in Strictly Come Dancing. She said, "Actually part of the song had already been danced before in Strictly Come Dancing. This time, it's just changing a little, so it's not very difficult to learn. Joey Yung injured her ankle at a performance in the USA/Canada region two months ago. Her Shanghai concert scheduled for Nov 29 is thus postponed to Christmas Eve. Yung says she is taking this chance to recuperate her health. "I went through a thorough checkup and the doctor says my knees and back are badly damaged. If I do not nurse them now, I may have to be spend old age on a wheelchair. I am currently nursing my leg injury and the damages I've accumulated in my body for the past nine years."

To avoid the major releases of Chinese New Year films in December, Looking For a Star which is directed by Andrew Lau with a cast of Andy Lau, Shu Qi, Denise Ho and Zhang Han Yu will delayed its opening at the silver screen to January 2009. The film distributor revealed yesterday that the 120 minute film passed the censorship board without any cut, it will open in the cinema on 26 January, the first day of Chinese New Year.

Looking For A Star is the film heavily invested by Andrew Lau after Infernal Affairs, the film narrates millionaire Andy whom had three failed marriages meet Shu Qi, a dancer in a casino, he bring her from the grassroots of the world into the high society. It's quoted to be the modern Cinderella story.

Other than Andy and Shu Qi as the leads, the film also has another couple of different status in technician Zhang Han Yu and highly paid Denise Ho.

According to the introduction, the film company think that this comedy is suited to the Chinese New Year festive atmosphere, the submission to the censorship board is very successful, no scenes is cut.

Two nights ago, Andy Lau rushed back to Beijing for the shooting of wong Jing's Future Cops, it was minus zero degrees but Andy still wore a tight fitting outfit for shooting.

The Buddha head was supported by several wires and several crew members kept it stable. In this scene, Andy will be standing in front of the Buddha head to fight with terrorist, when the director start the camera rolling, it can only be seen that Andy did a few movements then the Buddha head appear behind him from nowhere and land on top of Andy. To make the scene realistic, Andy insist not to use a body double. After each shooting, he also went to the monitor to check the shot footage, he even requested to re-shoot a few times, this shows that he was stomped by the Buddha head several times.

A group of artistes including: Jade Kwan, Ron Ng, Tavia Yeung, Eric Suen, Jill Vidal and William Chan attended the 「暖流行動—長者港鐵安全運動2008」 event, they led hundreds of elderly people to take the West Rail of Hong Kong to the Wetland Park. They hope to help the elderly to understand the safety codes of using the West Rail and how to properly approach Nature. As this is the first time that most of the artistes stepped foot in the Wetland park, for work and enjoyment, they were all very excited. The artistes also accompanied the elders to lunch and sang songs.

Tavia Yeung and Ron Ng are truly "Big Villagers" as they thought the Wetland Park is literally "wet". This is the first time that they took the West Hong Kong Rail to the park and of course they were not familiar with the streets. Being able to travel with a group of "brothers and sisters", they feel that its quite meaningful.

The other day, Angela Tong who was arrested for drunk driving and injuring someone, went to rehearsal for a TVB show in sadness. Soon after, Angela left the studio with a bandage on her left arm and sat in her assistant's car to return to her home in North Point. Yesterday at 5:30pm, Angela was leaving in a hurry so she could avoid the media, when she saw reporters taking pictures, her face turned black.

Charlene Choi [Ah Sa] is a really busy lady, she recently just got back from Beijing, yesterday she attended the Stella So Christmas Event. During her performance the microphone stop working several times, however Charlene remain calm on stage, and the fans started to sing loudly.

Just finish with the live musical in Beijing, Ah Sa, yesterday she attended the Stella So Christmas Event, with hundreds of fans surrounded all 3 markets waiting for her. When the opening ceremony started the microphone wasn't working properly, at one point it even made a gun shot sound, Ah Sa, who was near by was frighten. She later on went on stage to sing 'Make A Wish’ the microphone problem occurs again, causing the microphone to stop working, luckily Ah Sa's fans started to sing loudly. When the scene went completely quiet, Ah Sa appeared calm as she lean her microphone over and encourage the fans to sing. When asked about the technical problems, Ah Sa spoke frankly, “It is very good that the fans’ sing came to the rescue, one time at one of Twins' concert the electricity black out for a few second, which was very scary."

Ah Sa mentioned that originally she was suppose to fly to Thailand to shoot some clothing ads but because of the recent problem in Thailand she wasn't able to do so. The ad company is arranging for a new place to shoot the ads. She reveal that her assistant just got back from Thailand and her assistant mentioned that it was chaotic at the airport, it'll be better if she don't go.
