Kenneth Ma & Selena Li mutually believe they're Compatible

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Kenneth Ma has collaborated with both Selena Li and Kate Tsui numerous times, and also played as couples. But between the two on-screen girlfriends, Kenneth likes Selena Li, seems like it's "Love WAN Shed SAN" [WAN - Selena, SAN - Kate]

Kenneth and Selena were paired up in TVB's ancient series "The Four", in the series they once again play as a couple. The two have been a pair for more than 5 times. As for Kenneth and rumored girlfriend Kate also collaborated a few times, Kenneth likes Selena more as her taste is more similar to his, is one of his considerations for a spouse.

Male likes girls that are like a bird

Kenneth expressed: "Selena and Kate, I would pick Selena because her image to me is very gentle, Kate's image in contrast is more like a strong woman, she has opinions. As I like more gentle girls. (What are your standards for a spouse?) Long hard, small, like a bird, but don't be so quiet because I'm a very quiet person. (Selena Li very compatible with you?) I agree, unfortunately she already has a rumored boyfriend Patrick Tang."

Female does not mind having many guys fighting over

As for Selena Li, she agrees with Kenneth that she and him are compatible. They have chemistry for a on screen couple. She expressed: "Kenneth is reliable, he feels like a home. As for myself, I seem to be very gentle but sometimes not true. I could be consider a good girl, so that's why I'm quite compatible with Kenneth." (Kenneth said you were gentle?) Actually I do have a side of me that is rough, sometimes I would sit with my legs up, but when I was in Canada I was really gentle, maybe I adapted to the lifestyle in Canada. I fit his standards for a spouse? Is that true? I feel that Kenneth is quite handsome. (He said too bad you have Patrick Tang?) I don't mind if many guys fight for me!"

TVB Anniversary Dinner Party, Ha Yu & Raymond Lam seems to be getting along fine

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Last night the TVB Anniversary dinner party (萬千星輝頒獎禮雌雄牙骹戰) held its recording, the majority of the "Moonlight Resonance" attended, including Ha Yu, Raymond Lam, Lee See Kei, Linda Chung, Derek Kwok, Sunny Chan, Ron Ng, etc. Earlier it has always been said that Ha Yu and Raymond were fighting for the award, the two were quite generous last night taking pictures together and laughing. Ha Yu even put his hand around Raymond for the pictures. As for his confidence in getting the award, Ha Yu said that he doesn't feel that he has much capability, smiled and said that even if Raymond died, it's still not positive that he will win it.

Ha Yu expressed that he does have confidence for himself, but just not the capability, just try his best. Does he think that Raymond's threatings? He said: "Not threating, this time its not a one on one competition, even if we didn't have Raymond Lam it doesn't mean that I will definitely get the award, one died out there will be other ones. Each nomination is very powerful." There were rumors stating that if Ha Yu signs a contract with TVB then he'll get the award, he said that that is two different things. He doesn't want to link the two together. Speaking of the poll online, he expressed that he has 100% confidence towards the audience, but does not feel that he has the grasp from his company.

Raymond Lam said that he looked at the site and saw that he's leading but he does not feel that the results are definite. He felt that each nominee is a rival. Speaking of Kevin Cheng last year after he went to the dinner, he immediately got the TV King title, Raymond asked back: "Oh its related to it? Aiya, I didn't even talk about it and I already had the dinner!" He said that the dinner was only to talk about his work schedule with the executives. He also has confidence towards the audience votings, he only feels that he has half the grasp from his company.

Lee See Kei smiles and said that TVB should have cheaper dinner parties, so artistes could use the extra savings to do advertisments to pull in the votes. It is believed that everyone should fork out some money to help and that should not be a problem. Also, yesterday there is a report saying that Linda Chung had an elder female fan from Singapore that commited suicide because of her illness, Linda said it was unfortunate and that she does not know the details. She expressed that she doesn't know the old lady was sick, if she knew she would definitely write a letter to encourage her.

Charlene (Ah Sa) is making a commercial for "Bossini: Happiness is so simple" (快樂原是這樣簡單). This is her first time abroad in Denmark on her own without Ah Gill. She has been acting very professionally througout. She brought different shoes and accessaries with her to mix and match with the Autumn and Winter clothes she is modeling. She also shared her taste of clothes with the crew so that she didn't feel lonely in the journey.

Ah Sa had a real taste of family life in Denmark too. She was working as well as playing with some Danish children. Ah Sa found out that Danish people emphasize in family life and they like living in harmony. The whole family would sing nursery rhyme together. Parents would dress up as crown just to make their children happy. Ah Sa was so impressed with the family life of the Danish people and she found out that happiness is in fact very simple.

Sammul Chan Would Rather Earn Money Than Being "Own Son"

Friday, October 31, 2008 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Yesterday, Sammul Chan, Bernice Liu, Kay Tse, and Stephen Chan attended the opening function for TVB's new travel series "Vanishing Glaciers". It was mentioned that when Sammul first found out that he did not receive any award nominations for TVB's 41st Anniversary Awards Ceremony, he was surprised, but comforted himself, thinking that maybe just he hasn't reached the companies expectations yet.

Nominations should not have limitations

As a new rule this year, there is a maximum of 10 nominees per award category. Sammul expressed that the audience cast votes, and their views will be revealed once votes are totaled. He believes that those who did a good job should be nominated, and there shouldn't be limitations to the number of nominees per category. As of now, Sammul still hasn't become TVB's "own son". He has no intention to make any changes to the way in which they cooperate, because he has his own manager. He can also have many other opportunities for job offers outside of TVB. When asked if he'd prefers money over an award, Sammul said: Awards are for encouragement, and it's not only TVB who has awards. As for the TVB management, they expressed that their awards are very fair.

When mentioned of Sammul's views on TVB anniversary awards, Stephen Chan expressed that Sammul hasn't filmed many series this year, so his chances for nominations are lower. He hopes that Sammul will continue to work hard for next year.

Three Female Leads of "Moonlight Resonance": Hot Contestants For TV Queen

Posted by Admin 0 comments
This year, there are 10 nominees for the "Best Actress Award". Louise Lee, Susanna Kwan, and Michelle Yim from "Moonlight Resonance " have obtained three spots in the nominations. These three roles have already been considered TV Queen material.

Liza Wang and Charmaine Sheh are also strong competitors through their roles in "War of In-Laws II" and "Forensic Heroes" II respectively. Other nominees include Nancy Sit in "The Silver Chamber of Sorrows", Sheren Teng in "Your Class or Mine", Linda Chung in "A Journey Called Life", Sonija Kwok in "D.I.E.", Kate Tsui in "Speech of Silence".

Ha Yu Is The Choice for TV King

Louise Lee was asked who she thought was her strongest competitor. In order to avoid gossip, she said : I don't know how to tell.. But as for the best actor, she said that Ha Yu is her choice.

Louise said: Ha Yu acted his role out really well. As for Moses Chan, he put in a lot of effort for his role in "Moonlight Resonance". When I first looked at the script, his role didn't seem very unique. He also asked me for advice on how he should act out his role. In the end, he was able to act out his character very well, and brought life to it. Raymond Lam's role is also good, as well as the other male leads, so competition is very tight!

Stephanie Cheng: Wilfred Lau Is In The Heart

Posted by Admin 2 comments
Yesterday, Stephanie Cheng appeared at a radio station to promote her new album. In this album she has included many photographs of herself from throughout the years and a piece of work she has written during her school days. When mentioned that she's not being afraid to revealing photos of herself during the awkward phases of her teenage years, Stephanie cheerfully said: When I was younger, I was very naive and crazy. That's what makes me proud of who I am, so I'm not afraid of revealing my past. Then, she was asked why she didn't reveal intimate photographs of herself and rumored boyfriend Wilfred Lau. She said: An album is better a person.

Stephanie hasn't thought of inviting Wilfred to film in her new MV in order to boost its popularity. Instead, she'd rather invite friends to participate in concerts, or more important events. She hopes that her friends would take the initiative to buy her new album on their own. She was then asked if she wouldn't especially ask Wilfred to buy a certain number of her albums to give to his friends. She said: Doesn't really matter. I can buy the albums for my friends. Asked if her relationship with Wilfred involves the heart and not money? She sweetly said: It's in the heart.

Edison Chen sends letter to Hong Kong media; China rumours his comeback

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Edison Chen, who publicly announced that he would step away from the Hong Kong entertainment circle indefinitely, has sent a letter to Hong Kong’s “East TOUCH” magazine, saying: “time can answer all the questions” and his comeback is rumoured on various online Chinese websites.

China’s 2 big online websites “Sina” and “Sohu” yesterday reported that Edison had sent a letter to Hong Kong’s “East TOUCH” magazine, and confessed, “I know everyone has a lot of questions they want to ask, and there are a lot of questions waiting for me to go answer, where should I begin? My answer is ‘time’, time can answer everything.”

Edison expressed, “Time will make a boy grow, become mature; time can make a lot of unclear things become clear, time is very important to everyone. During this time, I have had enough time to search for myself, pondering what is most important to me. I have had time to appreciate myself, and do the things I love to do, and I can finally relax being me.” Edison also hinted some criticism at gossip reports, saying: “Rather than discussing other people’s lives, why not spend some time to understand yourself.”

On the 31st of January this year, many Hong Kong female artist’s indecent photos were revealed and on the 21st of February, Edison publicly announced that he would “forever exit the Hong Kong entertainment circle.” Reports said that he had moved to Los Angeles, but after appearing for less than 10 seconds in American film “The Dark Knight”, he has been seeking other development opportunities.
Hong Kong director Lau Wai-keung who has previously worked with Edison in film “Internal Affairs” expressed that if there is the chance, he wishes to help Edison brew comeback into Hong Kong industry, but this requires time.

China’s “Sina” website reported that next month, he will attend Kanye West’s concert in Beijing and Shanghai, and he has agreed to the organisers that he will accept a telephone interview from media, only to discuss Kanye’s thoughts about music. However, Edison’s management company replied, “Edison has not yet informed us about going to this concert.”

Nicholas and Nick were shooting in the street market

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Nicholas Tse and Nick Cheung were filming "The Beast Stalker" in Electric Road and the street market in North Point the other day. They have over 300,000 dollars worth of air rifles as props. During filming, some stalls in the market were racked and over 100 onlookers were really frightened, thinking there was a gun fight between gangs. Some people even phoned for the police.

Although the film company EMP has applied to the Transport Department for blocking out part of the traffic on the road, they were still restricted in the area where they could film. There was a scene that Nicholas and Nick had to run about 300 meters in and out of the market and the tram track. During the process, they also had to avoid the on lookers. As a result, Nicholas had knocked down 3 stalls and that particular scene had 15 takes. Nicholas had injury to his knees before and he was worried his knees might start giving him problem again. Therefore, he had to rest for a while before they continue to film.

On the other hand, Nick was filming a scene where he was using his air rifle to shoot. The force of the rifle was so great that he nearly fell backward. The air rifle also gave out a large amount of smoke. At that point the on lookers actually thought there was a gun fight between gangs. As a result, someone called the police.

Kevin thought "He" was the "Handsome" guy

Kevin Cheng was guest of honor for "Land Rover 60 years Anniversary Celebration Parade " in Tuen Mun yesterday. When the MC Sarah Lee was introducing a "Handsome" guy to come to the stage, Kevin went straight up to the stage. Sarah was in fact calling for the big boss of Land Rover, not him. Kevin was so ambarrassed. He told reporters next time he would be careful not to respond so quickly to save such ambarrassement

Kevin lives in Sai Kung. There were rumors that he went out when typhoon signal No. 9 was up. His car got stuck in the puddle of rising water, he had to call the villagers to help to get the car out. Charmaine was inside his car, that was how their relationship was leaked out. Although his car is well looked after, he has thought about changing it everytime he sees any discount offers on cars. He revealed "Four by four is good, you can drive across on puddles of water and it is very convenience for outdoor filming." Unfortunately, he has lost a lot of money in stocks and shares, he has to be careful with his expenditure. He is saving money to invest in property now.

Andy not affected by financial crisis

Posted by Admin 0 comments
East Asia - Capital Records Concert will be staged from 13 - 15 December 2008, a press conference was held yesterday to announce that Capital Records had become part of eSun. Holdings. Limited.

Most of the singers under East Asia which includes Andy Lau, Denise Ho, Ivana Wong, Andy Hui, Bosco Wong Chung Chak and Jill Vidal attended the press conference.

Sammi Cheng, Miriam Yeung and Richie Ren were absent due to work commitments.

At the press conference, Ivana and Jill represent Sammi and Miriam to give their master tape in Capital Records to East Asia, whereas Andy gave a diamond album to East Asia boss Peter Lam, to symbolize that the classics will continue.

Respective singers talked about their feelings of Capital Records and their performance in the upcoming concert.

Denise was all excited when talked about Capital Records as Andy Hui quipped that she's long-winded as she stop talking immediately. Ivana expressed that she would like to sing the song 'Re Li Jie Pai Wou Bom Va', Andy Hui and Denise immediately burst into laughters, Andy Hui then tell her that it's a song from Polygram, Capital's version is 'Huo Re Dong Gan La La La'.

Andy Lau was once a singer under Capital Records for a short while but he still had unreleased songs as he was being put into cold storage.

With East Asia bought Capital Records with $8 million, this is good news for him.

As Andy will be staging his concert in Singapore on 12 and 13 December, thus he could only attend the 15 December concert.

When talked about the current financial crisis, Andy quipped that being signed on to a record company has its advantage as he still could release albums unlike being own boss would require him to rethink.

Andy exclaimed that he did not invest in stocks but he still holds some old stocks from HSBC which his father asked him to buy many years ago. All his HSBC stocks were bought at low price, thus he did not get his fingers burnt, just making less profit but he still hope that the stock will rise slowly.

However, he pointed out that he would not buy the current stocks at low price as he know nothing about stocks as he maintain the attitude of "I don't move when the enemy don't move", he would rather invest in properties.

However he was currently very busy thus no time to buy new property, he had not bought any new property for 5 years as he don't buy property when their price is high. He only considered buying when the price is low. The current estates that he owned were bought many years ago thus he was not affected.

He quipped that his investments are managed by professionals, other than properties, nobody knows he had investments. He remind people whom tries to seize to purchase properties at this moment not to take things easy as one need to get their figures right.

With regards to the allegations that he will be cast in the Chinese version of The Host sequel directed by Ning Hao, Andy said that it's still in the initial stage, there's still no script, he would like to collaborate with Ning Hao and currently discussing some projects with him, shooting will start at the end of the year after they inked a contract.

Due to the Sichuan earthquake, Andy's concert tour in Mainland China had been postponed till next year, this allow him an additional month of holiday.

Miriam Would Like to Play the Role of a Bond Girl

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Miriam is the ambassador for the Asia Games Exhibition 2008. The previous ambassadors were all heavenly kings and queens like Kelly Chen, Aaron Kwok, Leo Ku and Sammi Cheng. Miriam shot the theme song's music video overnight recently, "Of course I'm happy to be the ambassador because I like such images like wonder woman and spy, very refreshing."

She continued, "But the scariest thing is having to wear eight inch high heels. The moment I saw the heels I exclaimed. It's already difficult to walk with it, if the director had asked me to dance, I'll die, so I practiced walking wearing it. Luckily the director only asked me to do poses on the same spot but I had to make turns. Ended up spraining my left foot." Miriam's left foot already had past injuries during filming last time. This time she hurt it again and applied medicated oil immediately when she returned home after work.

The director required Miriam to give cool expressions but it's more difficult to bear not to laugh than wearing heels. She had to pretend to be serious, but also broke out laughing during shooting. Miriam admired the pretty spy look and a colleague commented she has potential to become a bond girl. Miriam said, "I always hoped to do a spy movie. I learned Kung-fu for half a year so I hope the company can do a action Kung-fu film, best if I can play a role of spy."

Wednesday, October 29, 2008 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Steven Ma's 37th birthday was on October 26. On that day, he had to work at the studio from morning until night, filming for "Dogs on the Beat". He didn't know that Kara Hui, along with Helen Ma and the rest of the filming crew were going to hold a surprise party for him. Kara and Helen were filming for "Wives and Concubines" that day. When midnight came, they appeared with a birthday cake to celebrate with Steven. On the other hand, Linda and the filming crew for "Dogs on the Beat" also brought Steven two cakes. Having to cut three cakes at the same time, it felt as if he was holding a huge eating party right in the studio. Steven Ma felt very touched by the care his friend have for him. His birthday wish this year is for Hong Kong's economy to get better. He felt that although he didn't buy any stocks, if the economy worsens, it will affect all of the citizens. Viewers complains that Joyce Cheng's acting is not natural

Last week's broadcast of long 80 episodes series "The Gem of Life" has been grand, last week broadcasted two episodes at once in order to enhance the effects. Also Gigi Lai announcing her retirement from the entertainment circle, making her last tv series ever. The ratings were pretty high, last night's broadcast was 31 poins, peaking at 36 points, the success is not bad at all. But, on the next day ratings only peaked at 30 points, maximum of 28 points, seems like the trend is not flowing.

As for last week's finale of "The Four", TV ratings were 30 points on average, while the 2 episode finale last Friday recieved 35 points peaking, the results went as expected. Also last week first broadcast of "Off Pedder", last week only got 26 points, the results are only average. Week 2, Joyce Cheng comes out, the ratings went up to 28 points, which was the highest ratings of that week. But TVB recieved 6 complaints over the phone. They said that Joyce's performance is not natural, her acting was exaggerated. TVB's broadcast department expressed that this is Joyce's first series, everyone should give her a chance. TVB has great confidence towards Joyce's acting.

He said since the incident has been exposed to the public things have got better. He didn't receive any more calls or messages from this person. But last week someone rang his doorbell but when he opened the door nobody was present. Although he is scared he has no money to move properties. That is why he installed a security device. Sammul is currently to afraid to go out and even if he goes to the supermarket he will wear a cap so he won't be recognised. When he is throwing out the garbage he will chat on his handphone in order to feel comfortable. But he didn't have nightmares. Also it was reported that while he was in Iceland filming a documentary he specifically took care of Stephen Chan, such as preparing a hot pad. Sammul denied this and said there was no such thing. But he did not appear annoyed with the reports because he said people who know him will know what kind of person he is.

Jackie Chan Movie to Film in Albuquerque

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan will be high-kicking his way around Albuquerque soon.

Gov. Bill Richardson announced Chan’s new flick, “The Spy Next Door,” will film in and around the city in November and December. The production expects to hire about 150 local crew members and more than 600 actors, including principals and extras.

Chan plays a man who is asked to baby-sit for his neighbor’s children and winds up having to protect them from secret agents after one of them accidentally downloads a code.

The film will be produced by Relativity Media and directed by Brian Levant, who directed “Are We There Yet?” “Snow Dogs,” “The Flintstones,” and “Beethoven.”

Mayor Martin Chávez recently announced that over the past five years, film productions in the city have produced a direct economic impact of about $300 million. In June, he said the industry was on track to bring in $150 million this year alone.

The film industry has exploded in New Mexico over the last several years, due in large part to the state tax incentives that encourage film production and were put in place by the Legislature and Richardson in 2003. Since that time, more than 100 major film and television projects have shot in the state with an economic impact of more than $2 billion.
