Janice Vidal accidentally said a swear word while being interviewed
Tuesday, December 23, 2008
Janice Vidal accepted an interview with Commercial Radio yesterday. She revealed that while doing an interview earlier she accidentally said a swear word. She laughed saying that it was because her collegaues often taught her. But she is happy that the reporters knew she said it by accident. Janice said she will work hard to improve her Mandarin and Chinese, she doesn't want anything like that to happen again. But perhaps due to not appearing in the public for a half a year, even her Cantonese has got worse. Normally when she is in the recording studio she will speak in English.Learning Mandarin
Did her manager Leon Lai ask her to improve her Mandarin? She said that Leon wants her to practice her Mandarin more and directly asked her to take lessons. After practising Mandarin she can release an Mandarin album. She expressed that while performing at a show in Malaysia, most of the singers spoke in Mandarin. She feels that she needs to work extra hard to learn it. But she also thinks that Mandarin is easier than Cantonese. Recently she has been learning Mavis Fan and Anson Hu Mandarin songs.
If she had the opportunity to live in Beijing for 6 months she could learn it faster by speaking to locals. But due to her having a poor pronunciation she would also feel embarassed to speak it. She joked by saying if she had a boyfriend who spoke Mandarin she would learn it even faster.
