TVB to lay off employees excluding artists
Saturday, November 29, 2008
Ron Ng, Hacken Lee, Tavia Yeung and Wu Fung attended TVB's Long Term Service and Outstanding Staff Award Ceremony Dinner last night. Speaking about TVB's plan to lay off employees, Hacken said the employees can only take what has been said. (Do you agree with Michael Miu that the company has no sense of honor?) Hacken responsed, "This issue is very awkward and sensitive and I don't know what to say. I just hope they don't fire me." Ron did not want this to happen, because everyone has to provide for the families. He said that the company had been on tenterhooks, and he felt bad for the lay off because he could not help at all. Tavia said that lay off people from time to time, it wouldn't affect the overall work spirit, and there will be a way out for the victims. When she was acknowledged that actors are excluded from the lay off, she said, "I am relieved!" Wu Fung hoped that the number of people being lay off will be kept to a minimum.Source: MingPao
