Recently many couples from the entertainment industry had got married. Jackie Lui and his long term girlfriend Mak Ging Ting who have been dating for 14 years secretly got married in Guam's Crystal Chapel. The new wedded couple did not inform their family and only 2 of their friends were there to witness the wedding. It was very low profile. Afterwards, they went to Malaysia for their honeymoon. They both made an agreement that they would not have children and continue their 2 people world.

Mak Ging Ting and Jackie Lui started dating in 1994 and their relationship has been stable. Jackie had thoughts of getting married during the last few years. Mak Ging Ting accepted an interview with (Mingpao). She said that during the time she felt there was no rush untill Jackie proposed to her with a ring that had both of their English names on it. He casually said "How about we get married?" and that's how they made the decision. She expressed that the atmosphere was very emotional and she was teary. (Did you not inform your family?) "Actually our relatives knew that we were going to get married at anytime and are prepared for it".
