Dicky almost declared bankrupcy in 1997

Dicky Cheung was attending the name signing event for the charity sale of "Sichuen Cry" VCD. Despite the recent economic crises, he called on the people to continue their support for the fund raising to help the Sichuen victims to rebuild their homes. He aslo disclosed that he had lost almost 99% of his asset in 1997. He nearly had to declare bankrupcy. He had to rely on borrowing money from his friends to tie him over the bad times. Speaking about his good friend Edmond Leung who is getting married in December, Dicky is planning to get married early next year, probably before the Chinese New Year.Source: MingPao
