Ada Choi doesn't attend mainland series promotional event arranged by ATV

Ada Choi who is one of TVB's most popular Fa Dan's had been filming new Mainland series "Who Is the Winner 2008 " in Macau with Chilam Cheung, Amy Fan and Chapman To. But ATV who had invested money into the Mainland series arranged reporters to visit the actors for promotional purposes. However Ada didn't showup at the event and left Chilam and Chapman to attend the event alone. The reporters felt that Ada felt awkward and didn't want to attend.

ATV production executive Chan Koon Ming stated that the series was produced by a Mainland production company called " 新 視 線" and were responsible for the filming. ATV will just be investing for the production and will not specifically need all the cast to attend the promotion events, however will ask Ada to use other ways to promote the series.

Chilam is worried his daughter may have forgotten about him

Afterwards Ada responded via her management and stated it was not because she felt awkward. "The series crew never told me that the reporters would be coming to visit us at the location. After I finished filming in Macau I immedialey left." (Is it because ATV had arranged for the reporters to visit that's why it made it more awkward for you?) "I don't feel awkward. I signed an contract with the Mainland production company. This series production had been sold to ATV and actors have nothing much to do with it." (ATV have said they hope you help them use another way to promote this series?) "When I signed the contract with the Mainland Production company I stated I would not do any promotions in Hong Kong, As for promotions in Mainland that will depend if I have time in my work schedule."

Chilam expressed that he wasn't clear of Ada's reasons for not attending the event. He also claimed he had only signed an contract with " 新 視 線" and not officially with ATV. "Currently I am not contracted with TVB and I am not helping ATV film a series. The series had been brought by ATV and I have no right to get involved." Also Chilam stated that since filming this series he spent less time with his family. But sometimes his wife Anita Yuen would visit him at the filming location. He is worried that after he finishes filming the series his daughter may have forgotten about him.
